Chapter 86
"Well he is kind of busy right now preparing for the funeral and the ceremony. I guess you could visit him in his office since you are his mate," she said trying to convince herself that it was okay.
I smiled "just take me to him"
"Yeah okay I -" she was cut off before she could even finish her statement
"Mary it's almost 5pm and you haven't prepared the ceremonial powder! Are you out of your mind?" A blond older woman scolded her shaking her head in disapproval . I almost cringed at the sight,the last person who ever scolded me this way was my mother and it did not feel good at all.
Mary looked at me with a sad smile,I understood that she had to leave me now "I'm sorry Yhuri I forgot," she gave me a hug and whispered "Last door on the second floor. You will definitely know it's his office,the door looks different. The mark will protect you."
I watched as she walked away and suddenly my headache returned. What would I even say to him, 'hi Alexander or King I killed your friends son one of your best warriors . I did it so I could cause a war that I nolonger want because your world is pretty awesome.'
This was terrible,I was always ruining things for myself every damn time. Now I had to fix this before something terrible happened. I walked fast as I returned to the castle , surprisingly no one bullied me ,people would look at me and start whispering.
I even heard someone gasp "impossible,human mate for a king". I paid them no attention,I had to make things right. Sophie and Mason would understand after they see what I have seen. Sophie's baby would have a good life here with a lot of friends.
I reached the second floor and breathed out loudly. Suddenly my hands were shaking,what would he do to me for killing one of his people. He was going to kill me,oh God. I kept walking slowly as if I was walking towards my own grave. The fact that I spotted the door to his office made me sweat,somehow I wish I had gotten lost. I was so scared,my mark started itching and my heart felt as if it was on fire.
I reached the door,there were people talking and what they were talking about made me want to pee on the spot. "I want whoever did this to my son dead! I want Iris dead and I want to be the one to do it!" his beta shouted banging his fist on the king's desk.
The door was slightly open and I could see the fury in his eyes. If he knew I did it I was so dead. My eyes suddenly burned with unshed tears. There was no ways I was ever going to tell him I killed Daniel while his beta was there. Alexander stood up from his chair slowly "Calm yourself my friend,the kill is yours. This act is an act done to start a war with us and they will have it indeed"he said holding his beta's shoulder.
"Daria isn't taking this well,she hasn't eaten for days now. She tried killing herself Alex!" The beta cried breaking down. Alexander helped his friend sit. I held my heart,it was suddenly so painful. I was a murderer,they would kill me this time and I deserved it. I didn't even realize I was having a panic attack.
Suddenly warm hands were holding my face. When I looked at the source I froze, Alexander. "Breathe,look at me and breathe"he commanded
I looked at his silver grey eyes and followed his breathing. I mimicked his breathing trying to control myself. My hands were shaking,if only he knew what I had done he wouldn't be holding my face so softly. He would be ripping my head off. I tried to remove his hands but the effort was useless.
"What are you doing here?"he asked and suddenly I couldn't breathe again.
I shook my head "You can't start a war"
"That is not for you to decide. You do not have a say in this." he said removing his hands from my face.
I quickly grabbed his hands without thinking "you don't understand,"
"What does he not understand?"the beta asked suddenly appearing behind his King.
I froze my heart literally just stopped at that moment "nothing" I swallowed hard.
Alexander looked at me for the first time with concern ,he touched my forehead with the palm of his hand "you shouldn't be here. Go back to my room and rest." He said sternly leaving no room for debate. I nodded my head and walked away silently,my head was screaming 'you are dead meat' and I was if I told him the truth.
I got to his room and opened the door. I almost fell back when I saw the witch from Iris land stand "Sharma," I breathed out in shock.
"Relax I am not here to hurt you. I came for the first moon Luna ceremony,"she said walking towards me "However I had a vision and I know what you did, because of you my people are about to rip each other apart"
"I swear I was going to tell him but I couldn't." I said taking a step back.
She stood right in front me,her brown skin flawless,her eyes shining with so much knowledge and power "You are going to stop this war. You are going to confess to the king and everyone once Iris come tomorrow for the last meeting of leaders before the war. You are going to save us all because if you don't I will show everyone the truth and they will end you Lucy. You are a good person,I can see that but you made a mistake and you have to fix it."
