Chapter 73
"My King I mean no disrespect but you cannot expect us to believe that this human is your mate" the male standing next to Iris said taking a step forward.
"Are you calling me a liar Jonathan," King Alexander said plainly although his words held some sort of a threat in them.
I took a step back holding my hand, I still couldn't believe his blood had healed me already within a few seconds.Jonathan shook his head "Of course not but you must understand why this is hard to believe,our kind and their kind have never been chosen for each other. We were built to hunt their kind and kill them.This has been going on for ages and now you expect us to believe that a king over a centuries old has finally been gifted with a human mate-our prey!" he shouted announcing the news to his people with a scoff.
I heard gasps and someone else shouted with a growl "That is impossible! I guess the Blood Reigner will do anything just to keep us away from our land! This is an insult to our kind, we will not stand here and let you take our territory with these lies!" he growled taking out a gun and pointing it to King Alexander.
The Alpha King didn't even move an inch, in fact he even had a bored look on his face.Suddenly large wolves appeared from every corner surrounding Iris's group of people. These wolves were not like the ones that usually attacked me and my friends.These wolves were not brown or red they were all black and gigantic almost the size of an SUV truck. Unconsciously my body moved behind the King,it really was so that if they attacked hopefully he would save me or something.This did not look good at all,the large wolves were as dark as night,eyes golden orange and they moved like the real predators that they were.
"Stand down Titus!" Iris commanded without even turning to look at Titus who slowly put his weapon back in its place with a growl.
"I did not come here so you and your people could insult me Iris. I came to give you all a chance to survive and exist in my lands. If I wanted to I could just end you right now,it really wouldn't be a loss" king Alexander said ending his statement with a smirk.
Iris folded her arms,she really was brave for a woman being threatened by a King. "We both know you cannot kill me for a good reason,you need me. We are not here to insult you Alexander but if she is truly your mate you wouldn't mind coming with us to confirm your theory. Sharma will prove to us all that what you say is true and our deal can stand with no problem."
"If your witch proves that she is truly my mate our deal will stand and I never want to hear from you ever again."he said sternly
"That is fine by me,may we?" she said leading the way and the King followed grabbing my arm.
My head was full of so many thoughts running wild,if the king had enemies this meant that the odds could work against him. This meant that he could be defeated or at least I could get away from all this and all it took was a good plan. We walked for a long time in the dark until we reached an entrance into the forest, "Welcome to our territory Blood Reigner" Iris said and even I could feel her smirk.
The King suddenly pulled me closer and whispered in my ears "Stay close and don't do anything stupid"
I wanted to roll my eyes ,what could I possibly do whilst being surrounded by my enemies at least with him I knew I wasn't gonna get killed any time soon. "I won't" I replied looking up at him. He gave me a look that said 'I don't trust you at all' but I just brushed it off.
We arrived at a small cabin ,it was so dark it didn't seem like anybody would be living in there.I was wrong though because as soon as Iris knocked on the door there were suddenly lights lighting up the whole place plus the torches outside just lit up by themselves-it was like magic. A woman walked out the door,her skin was dark chocolate brown and flawless. She was really beautiful and her hair was in an afro style.
"Sharma" Iris said with a smile
Sharma grinned "what do I owe this pleasure?"
"I think you already know why we are here," Iris replied
Sharma kept her grin, I could already see that she was quite powerful with the confidence she was carrying and the fact that she lived among such beasts. "Well, you know the rules.Prepare her and she may enter-alone"
"No" King Alexander said with a straight face that left no room for debate.
"I will not harm her Blood Reigner ," Sharma said with a smile.She really smiled a lot and that made me question her sanity.I did not want to be left alone with her at all,I did not know what was worse witches existing or them working along with werewolves.
The Alpha King was quiet for moment before he answered her "yes you wont because if you do I will rip you apart and the boy you are hiding inside that cabin"
Sharma's smile suddenly dropped and her body went stiff "prepare her and let her come in alone" she said walking back inside her cabin.
Iris looked shocked for a moment,she probably did not know about the boy or maybe she did not expect the King to figure it out. She turned and walked towards me and the king "Follow me"
I looked at the King hoping he would come with us or even refuse that I go with her alone but instead he did nothing. I followed Iris and we were at the back of the cabin,there was a small pond there and suddenly it was really cold. "Take off your shoes and wash your feet in that pond"
I followed her instructions,the water was surprisingly really warm. "To enter and to walk on the seers path your feet need to be cleansed. Do you love him?" she suddenly asked and I froze.
I looked up at the red head "I don't love him"
"Do you hate him?"She asked again
Of course I hated the beast that killed the only family I had left "I hate him with every bone in my body"
"Are you ready to avenge the death of the people you love?"she continued
I nodded my head "Yes"
"Then when you enter that cabin and when she hands you the hell bringer you will stab that dagger straight in his heart"she said without blinking an eye.
I was beyond shocked "why would you want me to kill your King? Is this some kind of a trick because I'm not doing it"
"It's not a trick human, as you have already noticed we have our differences .He is stopping me from giving my people what they deserve and I will not let my people suffer.I would have done it myself but I can't ,he doesn't trust me.However you are just human and you are his mate so he wouldn't expect it-you have the element of surprise" she explained "besides what is there to lose,after he is dead I promise you I will set you and your friends free"
"Okay I will do it,but you must keep your promise or else I will tell your people and his people that you were behind their king's death."I said standing up.
"Then we have a deal."she said holding my hand.
