Chapter 93
"We need to hide!" Trevor called out with his hands still covering his ears
"Behind the counter" Amara said already running towards the counter inside the shop and we immediately followed behind.
The screeching got louder and my heart suddenly froze when I realized these bad banshees were more than just two or three. They sounded like hundreds or even more. I looked at Trevor and Amara in horror,they already knew what I was thinking because they were definitely thinking the same thing.
"We need to get out of this mall,fast" Amara whispered.
Trevor nodded his head and I frowned "First we get the others"
"As for food I guess we will have to look elsewhere" Amara sighed "right now we need to figure out how we are going to get out of here,how is your leg Lu?"
"I will have to make it work but don't look behind you if I'm not by your side,keep moving" I told them both sternly. My leg was still sore as hell but I knew if I was going to survive this I was going to have to run for my life.
Trevor blinked twice "No one stays behind so if you don't want us to look behind stay in front,now let's get the fuck out of this hell"
Without thinking twice we ran out sprinting, I breathed in deep and ignored the burning pain on my leg. We could hear the banshees coming for us but non of us looked back. I could feel warm blood oozing out of my wound probably staining the bandage but I kept moving.
My face immediately lit up when we all saw Hakim and Persius running towards us although they weren't wearing any smiles. "We are screwed!" Hakim said as we all stood in the foyer.
I looked around us and my smile dropped as we all watched the banshees surrounding us. They looked like thousands or millions, I swallowed hard. "Shit"
"Run you idiots!" we suddenly heard Marcia scream behind us as she threw two black bombs in front of us.
"Fuck!" Trevor shouted as he pulled me forward and we ran out. Everything felt like it was in slow motion as the building behind us blew up in flames and our feet were suddenly off the ground.
I screamed as my body hit the ground so hard I thought for a second all my bones were definitely broken. I watched as Amara's body rolled on the ground until she was suddenly laying there still on the gravel and my heart stopped.
"Amara," I tried calling out but it just came out as a whisper, "Am...ara!" I called out a little louder ,she wasn't moving...everything was blurry especially with the smoke that was clouding the whole area.
"Let go of me!" I heard Marcia scream and my head snapped up,it was as if my whole body was functional as I watched my friend being dragged forward by a large man-a wolf.
I struggled to get back on my feet but eventually I was standing tall. I let out a sigh of relief when I heard Amara coughing out the smoke that was probably poisoning her lungs,at least she was alive.
"Let my friend go right now or else you won't like what happens to you if you don't" I threatened the big man but he just grinned.
"Oh I have got more than just one friend of yours little human,I have all your other little friends so try anything funny and I will feed them to my 'big' friends"he growled tightening his grip on Marcia's arms as more big men showed up dragging literally all my friends, Trevor,Persius,Blake,Hakim and a semi-unconscious John...
My mouth dropped as I watched them holding my two boys, "please don't hurt them!"
"What happens to them depends on our Alphas decision,you see you and your friends are trespassing on our territory. That's a big crime," he said with a smirk. I could clearly see that he was enjoying this,tormenting us.
"We were just passing by,please just let us go and you will never see our faces here again!" Trevor begged "or at least just let go of my brother he is not well"
"Shut up!" the man that was holding him demanded as he smacked Trevor's cheek and it turned red immediately forming a big bruise.
I cried out loud as I felt large rough hands grabbing my arms from behind. "No!" I screamed out loud,
"The king would be very interested in knowing the humans that blew up one of his buildings," the male behind me said with a growl.
"You don't understand,we had to otherwise those monsters would have killed us!" Amara cried out as she struggled in her captures hold and he laughed sarcastically.
He laughed again "Monsters, you still insult us by calling us such degrading names in our territory..."
"We do not mean you,there are far worse monsters than you" I whispered lowly and the grip on my arms tightened. My legs suddenly felt like giving out from the loss of blood and maybe a few broken ribs but I kept standing.
"Oh is that so,so where are these monsters then . I mean we would love to see them and maybe give them a warm welcome as well since they are also in our territory" the one gripping my arms said and I could feel the smirk on his face.
"We blew them up but there are more of them,maybe you should warn your king and your people before they all come here in thousands Or more instead of harassing us." Hakim said with a straight face.
"We will let the King decide whether this story of yours is worth believing or not.Move them ,no more wasting time"
My heart suddenly raced as I heard the word 'King'. So much was happening I hadn't even realized we could be already in 'his' territory but ...maybe just maybe there was another king other than 'him'
