Chapter 122

Should I go to him? Should I comfort him? My mind was all over the place. I knew the story of the handsome hybrid King and the beautiful red head. I saw Iris, she was hateful and that is one thing that did not suit her beauty. Yes It made me a bit jealous that he was still affected by her actions. It hurt me that he was so touched that 'she'  had betrayed him in a way. I guess power was more important to her than her feelings for Alexander. That is what broke them in the first place.

We were back in the hall, the council had been informed of the current situation. There was an awkward silence. It seemed as If everyone was afraid to voice out their thoughts but we were all thinking the same thing. The red head had to die, that was the consequence of such betrayal. She had a hand in creating monsters that were a threat to her own kind! This was bad, beyond terrible.

"My King, what do we do now?" the beta Lewis asked. I looked at him as he raised his eyebrows across the table. He knew what had to be done but I guess it was better for the answer to come straight from the king himself.

Alexander was tense, his eyes were nolonger the beautiful transparent silver grey eyes I always loved looking at because they made me feel like he could look right through my soul. Now they were a cloudy grey as If a dark storm was brewing inside of him. His face was blank, noone knew what was going on inside his head. He didn't even look at me once since we arrived.

"She is not working alone, that is a fact. We must not give out any signs or speak to anyone outside this hall about this new information. We do not want rumors reaching her that we know she is behind this" he said in his deep voice. He sounded very serious and his voice demanded obedience. He sounded like a true King.

Everyone agreed by nodding or saying yes. "I believe that he is working with witches, we could send loyal men to her territory to confirm the people she is working with" Vladimir suggested.

"that is a good idea, we need to know everyone that she is working with before we attack" Karen said

Attacking meant war, they were only thinking about themselves and not us 'humans'. If there was to be a war we would be damned to death. If they lost we would be as good as dead and even if they won a number of my kind would be dead.

I cleared my throat intentionally knowing it would grab everyone's attention "An attack would mean war, is that what we want right now?" I asked shaking my head before continuing with my point "A war with them and at the same time we still have the banshees to deal with. We might know who is behind them but that does not remove them off our table. We still have to deal with them or you will not win this war" I finished off

I had a big point and it seems like a few people agreed with me. "She has a valid point my King, we must get rid of the banshees  or at least reduce their population before starting a war with Iris"

I looked at Alexander who was sitted by my side waiting for his reply and hoping it would be in my favor. "We will burn them all" he said simply. "Then we attack, nobody lives"

"my King let's not make quick decisions right now," Karen began but the king cut her off with a growl.

"Do not tell me what to do, everyone one of them will die. Noone lives, I am sure I have made myself clear as day" he said

I swallowed hard, he was not thinking of anything else but himself and his hunger for revenge. This meant that even innocent people would die for something they didn't even know of. "Alpha, innocent people will die... You cannot," before I could finish my statement he stood up very fast.

His chair made a horrible sound as he stood up "I am King, I have made my decision. We we will burn them all and it will be like they were never here roaming this earth"

Nobody said anything to protest, before I could open my mouth he had walked out without a second thought. I quickly followed him, he could not just kill everyone. He was angry but that was not an excuse, no.

I saw him enter his office and I walked right in without knocking. He didn't say anything as he sat on his large chair watching me. I wasn't going to beat around the bush so I quickly went to the point.

"I understand that you are angry. Someone you cared about betrayed you... twice now but you cannot murder everyone for that. I know that you are way better than this" I said patiently without raising my voice hoping he would understand.

He just narrowed his eyes at me "Do not tell me what I can or cannot do. You know nothing, this world that you are now living in has no boundaries. Death does not care about who is innocent or who is not. The reason why you will never survive Lucy is because you think this world will be kind to you and your little friends" he said and my heart dropped.

"I will survive and so will my friends while you and your people murder each other. My kind does not deserve this!" I told him straight up. If we were going to be honest with each other I might as well let it all out.

He scoffed "Your kind did this to me, they created this... what you call monster. So don't you dare say your kind deserves better. Your kind ruined my life and they ruined the only person that I have ever loved. Your kind will get what they deserve, that is fate after all... mate. Your kind created war so you will get war"
