Chapter 141
I woke up the next morning feeling tired, to be honest after the guards took me to my room as Alexander had ordered I immediately fell asleep but I kept tossing and turning. I was restless, all I could think about was all the drama that was happening. This life felt like a lot, it was crazy. I felt so impatient just waiting for Alexander to come to me with some news. It sucked that he never ever even returned to his room last night. A lot of people wanted him gone, a lot of people were ready to betray him so easily and here I was just sitting - doing absolutely nothing. I stood up and started pacing 'no Lucy stay in your room, stay in your room it is not safe out there' I told myself but my legs had a mind of their own as they reached the door 'I just have to talk to Amara and Marcia for a second'
I opened the door as I mumbled to myself , Mark stared at me "Going somewhere?"
I sighed "I have to see my friends its important"
"Okay " he said stepping aside and I raised an eyebrow at him. This was too easy ,it almost felt like a trick.
He smiled and I crossed my arms "That's all?" I asked hesitantly
"Yes and I am obviously coming with you. Even If I said you can't go out there that wouldn't stop you now, would it?" He said raising his eyebrow ,we both knew the answer to that so I walked ahead and he followed silently behind me.
I was starting to get used to having Mark and Rick around without feeling annoyed about it. I looked at it this way , it wasn't just about me anymore I had to protect my unborn child. Mark showed me Amara's new room. Since my group was staying here long term Alexander gave each one of them their own rooms for some privacy which was very considerate. I knocked on her door
"come in!" she called out and I looked at Mark
He nodded "I will be standing right here" he said standing outside the door
I smiled before walking into Amara's room, "Hey you!" I greeted her with a huge smile. I had missed the girl even though I had seen her recently.
She was wearing her black boots "Lucy how are you? I was kind of worried we didn't see you last night but I gathered you were with your man" she winked .
I blushed "Stop...he wasn't with me last night . I haven't seen him since the meeting." I said admiring her room. It wasn't huge but it was big enough especially for one person, she even had her own toilet and shower.
"Well, I did hear he is gonna whoop his so called cousins ass today...like that is where I'm headed right now right after we get Marcia" she said standing up
I raised my eyebrows "Oh , a lot is missing me these days"
"Yeah like I thought now that you are a thing he would let you out more. I think he is just extremely suffocating you like what's the reason. We are starting to really miss you" she frowned looking a bit concerned and my heart started pounding so hard "You can defend yourself plus you have these bad ass friends with his men added to the list. It's not like you are carrying his precious golden child inside you" she rolled her eyes grabbing her cross bag.
I widened my eyes and coughed out a laugh "I...know right. uhmm lets go now or we will miss the whole thing"
"Yeah, hopefully Marcia is not in bed that girl can sleep for days" she said as we walked out
Mark walked right behind us quietly . We reached Marcia's room ,it was just two doors away from Amara's room. Amara knocked and surprisingly Marcia walked out with a grin on her face. I think she was glad she proved Amara's thoughts of her still being in bed wrong. "I am ready, actually I have been waiting for you the whole time" she said closing the door behind her ,Amara rolled her eyes "Hey Lu are you ready to see your man beat some ass" she grinned again
"Guys," I blushed shaking my head "I am sure there wont be much of a fight anyways. That cousin of his seems so..."
"Fragile ,lanky, weak?" Amara finished off my sentence as I tried to look for a kinder word
I heard Mark chuckle behind us and I smiled . Poor cousin George was going to get his ass handed to him although I felt like there something more to this situation. Surely he didn't actually believe that he would win against Alexander. Everyone knew even the strongest warrior here wouldn't win against Alex, so was this George just trying to prove he was really a clown ,did he really have a death wish or was there something else. I frowned as my head got filled with so many thoughts and most of them were negative.

"We all stand here honoring this mans sacrifice" 24D (code name) also known as Adrian said holding my hand up and everyone cheered. I grinned as I watched them cheer, death never felt so good . I felt like a hero ,as if I mattered and if I had to do this again I would.
Adrian nodded his head in approval before silencing the the group with his other hand "The King has abandoned us, some of you here have doubts about that but we thank you for being here today it shows that you do care about the future of our kind! First he decided to protect and raise humans in our territory! Okay ,we brushed that off because we respected him. Then he protected the human girl and her friends. We brushed that off too even though we didn't have to but we loved him! Now he makes her his mate, he has decided to welcome her and her people!" he scoffed before continuing "He is even willing to kill one of his own so easily! If you have doubts about that, this man right is willing to die to prove to you that our own kind is in danger ! Our King is gone, he is lost and if we dont stand up against this madness we will all die. Humans and werewolves do not belong together but Alexander has made his choice!" he said .
The small group cheered, the group kept growing each and every day. I was glad people were starting to see that Alexander was never their true King. Being a hybrid didn't give him that right and today my death would start a revolution. I smiled, death has never felt so good .
