Chapter 125
I couldn't move this was beyond scary to me. I felt like some monster was going to pop out of that tomb and devour us but boy was I wrong. I don't know why my feet moved closer or why my eyes looked at what was inside that tomb but he was beautiful. It was a man, he looked like an angel with hair as white as snow and way longer than mine. I expected to see an old ancient man or monster, not this beautiful man who looked like a god. To be honest he was more beautiful than my mate, his beauty was just mesmerizing. It is the kind of beauty that should not exist on this earth.
"beautiful isn't he?" the witch said looking at him as well. She was as taken as I was. This was too much, how was he supposed to destroy monsters. He looked like a sleeping beauty, so fragile. He looked like he needed our protection instead.
His eyes snapped open and I moved back a little but I didn't miss how those blue eyes looked just like the deep blue ocean. I gasped when he stood up to his full height but his eyes remained on us, the man didn't even blink which was kind of creepy to be honest. With all his beauty and his six foot four height somehow my heart and my mind kept thinking of the king. Any other girl would be dying to be ravished by this angelic looking man but my body did not crave him although my eyes weren't blind to see that this man was a beauty.
He looked at me and smiled, at this point my heart almost stopped... Something wasn't right. " My little Raven mate" he said with a voice so smooth it sounded like heaven was whispering in my ears.
I shook my head, no I already had a mate and it was definitely not this wolf covered in sheep's clothing. "what does he mean by that" I asked the witch taking another step back.
"oh I forgot to tell you one other thing, he is your destined mate" she said smiling at me. Never trust a witch, that is all that ran in my mind. I didn't trust her but I hoped that this time we were both on the same page but obviously I was wrong.
I glared at her "I already have a mate, what tricks are you trying to play right now"
"after the Alpha King is dead, the hunter will be your mate just like how it has always been. Your mother had the same fate, it just didn't go exactly how it was supposed to" she said with a sigh before continuing "sometimes fate moves in different unexpected directions and it's our job to try and control it. That's if you want things to go your way"
I was definitely sure that was not how fate worked. Nobody could control fate, people who tried making themselves gods in order to control fate always ended up dead or something. I ignored the witch and my eyes moved back to the hunter. It was too late to try to be scared now or to try running away.
"I did not use my blood to awaken you because I wanted a second mate or whatever you think you are to me. I awakened you because I want to save my people and you want to get rid of monsters. So we both kind of have the same goal which is to get rid of the threat" I spoke with all the confidence that I had at that moment.
He took four steps closer and I tried not to move away. I tried not to give into my fear. He tilted his head a little to the right as he assessed me closely. I felt like a tiny object under a big microscope, his eyes were so blue I felt like it was starting to get a bit colder.
"you... Shouldn't be afraid of me. I will kill every monster that roams on this earth. That is my duty after all" he said simply touching a strand of my hair. I reminded myself to breath because at this point I was out of breath.
The witch stared at him "Hunter, we welcome you"
The hunter looked at the witch "Sharma... You have done your part very well" he said with a smile. He seemed to know the witch very well, this was not their first greeting.
My heart sank, I could feel guilt and fear sipping into my heart like hot lava. I shouldn't have made such a rush decision, it was obvious Sharma hadn't told me what I really needed to know. She had a good reason for it, if I knew what I know now I wouldn't have helped her awaken the hunter.
I watched his every move, he looked so confident about this life. "Let us begin... shall we" he said and before any of us could reply him, before she could even scream her head was on the ground detached fron her body. Her blood stained my left cheek and dots of it colored a part of my blouse. None of us got a chance to scream, I was too shocked to even face him.
I felt his cold breath as his fingertips traced the blood on my left cheek "Never trust a witch...I told you little Raven, do not fear me for I am yours and you are... Forever mine" he said before kissing my cheek.
The moment I turned my head to face him he was gone, like a bad dream. One second he there and the next he was gone... but the dead witch was still there.
He was faster than anything I had ever seen on this earth. At least one could see when a werewolf moved, you could see a glimpse, a shadow or something. Both the werewolf and the banshee gave you a chance to scream, a chance to see your death coming. I am definitely sure none of us saw the witches death coming. I didn't even know how it all happened, this hunter was powerful and he had to have some sort of magic in him... What had we done? What did awaken?
I felt like I had awakened my own ending.
