Chapter 145
Everyone froze as they looked at me , in my head I just went 'oh shit'. Ryan watched me carefully "What are you doing here, how did you find this place?"
"Its not exactly hidden you know and if you can't even find a good hiding place, plan proper secret meetings what makes you think you can plan a whole surprise attack on werewolves successfully" I said almost running out of breath. These people had to be crazy it was frustrating.
Anna gave me the death stare "Aren't you his whore, what would you know besides fucking the monster"
Honestly it didn't even piss me off that she was insulting me like this , I was used to the hate from my own people and werewolves as well so I ignored her lame statement. "All I am saying is If you do this you will die. You should listen to your daughter because she is right"
"You should leave, you are not one of us!" one of them shouted from the group
Ryan nodded "You need to leave especially if you are here to insult us. You know this is you chance to help your own kind but here you are against us" he said with a hint of disgust in his voice.
Before I could reply him everyone froze looking at something or someone behind me. I looked behind me and it was Rick "Are you okay, Luna?"
I nodded "I am alright , I was just getting to know these lovely people. I appreciate the great job they are doing taking care of the children" I said with a smile. Ryan looked shocked that I hadn't ratted them out while Talia gave me a genuine smile this time.
I knew obviously Rick was a bit suspicious especially with the way everything gave out a secret meeting vibe and nothing good ever came out of those but he decided to let it go thankfully. "Alright, we should head back the Alpha wants you with him. We have been gone for quite a bit now."
"Yes definitely. It was nice to meet you." I said and Talia smiled at me
"It was nice to meet you too" she said and I walked out.
Rick walked a bit closer behind me "Are you sure you are alright?"
I nodded "Trust me I am totally fine besides I can easily fight off my kind." I winked at him and he smiled.
We arrived back and Rick led me to another meeting room were Alexander was discussing something that seemed very serious with Sharma. However my head was full of so many thoughts. I had to stop Ryan and my people from doing something stupid that would get them all killed. I had to do this before Alexander finds out otherwise they would not be spared. He would kill all of them without a second thought. I walked in and Rick stayed outside by the door. Alexander looked at me and held out his hand for me. I walked towards him and let him hug me. He kissed my forehead before letting me go. Sharma smiled at the both of us, I know we probably looked cute and honestly I couldn't help but smile at Alex whenever he acted so cute without even realizing it. I still did not trust Sharma at all, for all we know she could be the one behind this.
"did you have fun?" he asked with a grin
I nodded "Yes, I did I will tell you all about soon"
He nodded pulling out a chair for me to sit down before he got back to business. "so can you locate this woman or not" he asked her.
"My King it is not that simple, for me to locate her I would need something close that belongs to her like a strand of her hair, favorite necklace or blood from her closest relative" Sharma said with a straight face "what I can tell you though is that she is a low level witch, she is weak that is why she couldn't harm Lucy here during their encounter. My guess is she was trying to scare her, use what happened as a threat to you my"
"and if you are lying, you do have a reputation of being notorious witch" Alexander said and I couldn't agree more.
Sharma grinned, it is like she enjoyed not being trusted. She liked keeping people on edge and she was really good at it. It annoyed me to the bone and I did not like her one bit. "I have been loyal to you for years and it is because I know that I need you in order to survive. I need you alive, I need your protection and this world will not be at balance if you were to die. But you are right not to trust me, I have given you a reason not to but it wasn't because I wanted you dead" she bit her lip "I will find this little witch but what I can tell you is there are humans involved"
"Humans" Alexander raised his eyebrow "They must be stupid," he said shaking his head.
My heart started pounding , no they couldn't find out "Are you sure, we can't trust a word she says" I told him
"Oh I am very sure and it's likely the ones you are keeping under your roof. The question is how did they get a witch on their side" She said looking up at him
He scoffed "I mean it is the right time to think its clever to try to destroy me while my own people are trying to do the same thing."
"They think you are distracted. So what are you going to do about them?" she asked him curiously
He watched her carefully "Find out who they are, I will take care of them. You don't have to know my plans for them, just do your job. You may leave now." he said with no room for debate.
She nodded her head at him with a smirk before leaving. I hated how she was always smiling , grinning or smirking. This witch was just bad news. I looked at Alexander , he was watching me this whole time. I blushed "What?"
"Why are you so bothered, I could hear your heart race right after she said humans are involved." he said
"Why do you still deal with her even after she was the one behind the hunter" I said trying to change the subject.
He smirked "I deal with her because it is better to deal with the devil I know best."
"You can't trust her so what the point" I breathed out
He pulled me to him softly placing me on his lap "I don't trust anyone little mate. Everyone is always up to something, even you. Am wrong love...are you not up to something?"
