Chapter 121
"It is done" Sharma said staring at the king. He didn't look offended by that, he just nodded his head in response.
I on the other hand was very curious "Are you certain this will work, how do you know they are actually blinded by your spell?"
"I know, let's go we have a lot of work to take care of" the King said cutting me short. Well at least I could trust him, I didn't argue with him over this because I knew we actually had so much going on and being big headed right now wasn't going to help me in any ways.
"Before you go Alpha... is there anything else you need from me right now?" Sharma asked as we stood up from our seats.
He paused for a moment as he looked at her, it's as if he was studying her or something. I could somehow feel how he felt about this witch and I felt the very same way. I was confused, maybe it was all in my head but he definitely did not trust her or like her. He just tolerated her because she was useful to him and his kind otherwise he didn't care if she lived or died right at this moment.
"I will call for you if I happen to require your assistance. Right now I do not" he said and he made his way out of the room with me right beside him. I personally did not want to be alone with her. I made my decision and I was not going to betray Alexander again.
I tried following his large strides but it was so hard to keep up with him. The man walked like a man on a mission of which that was the current situation right now.
I held his arm "wait slow down, what do we do next?" I asked breathing out and ignoring the sparks that traveled through my arm after holding him. It was such a weird sensation but weird in a good way.
He slowed down and surprisingly held my hand as we walked together. I didn't know what to think about that. Was the king starting to like me or did he just tolerate me like he tolerated every other human being living on his territory. "Now we join the hunt and we find out who is behind this disaster" he said firmly and confidently.
I blushed at how attractive he looked right now. He had no fear, he was confident he was going to win this war and it was so easy to believe that he was going to win with all the power radiating off him at this moment.
I was lost in my thoughts as we walked I didn't even realize when he picked me up and everything turned into a blur. I only felt the wind, it was like I was flying or something then suddenly it all stopped. My eyes were wide as I looked at him in shock. I knew this feeling, we had traveled to somewhere at his inhumane speed. Only last time I was too worried about him to even think but now... my heart was freaking out.
"breath" he said as his silver eyes stared right back at me.
What did he mean, I was breathing... right? OK I wasn't my heart was beating too fast and my eyes were trying to adjust. I blinked twice but my heart was still racing as my eyes roamed around, we were in a forest. Could he fly, how did we just get here in a Blink of an eye. Werewolves always had some shocking abilities.
I squealed when I felt his lips suddenly attack mine. I breathed in deep and then out until my whole body just calmed down. I embraced his warm body and I grabbed his neck drawing him in for a deeper kiss. He didn't fight me on it.
"Are you good?" he said placing me on the ground.
I nodded my head "I'm okay now, just still getting used to... your unique abilities" I said trying not offend him or something.
"come" he said walking forward and I followed him.
I stopped when I heard a low screeling sound , it was them. "Alex..." I whispered
He looked back at me "It's okay, it's been captured by the warriors."
He grabbed my hand and walked with me when he saw that I wasn't moving. Suddenly the banshee came into view, it was in large chains with guards standing a few feet away from it but they each held the chains so it wouldn't escape. This banshee was even bigger than the other ones we had seen, my heart just dropped.
I stopped again as I watched the monster thrushing and trying escape in every possible way. "why aren't you killing it!" I said in fear.
This thing was horrifying to even look at. It had some metal thing covering its mouth but somehow it was letting out screeling sounds. Only because of the metal it didn't hurt much hearing that sound but it was scary. Everything about this creature yelled 'death, run'
"don't you want to know who is behind these creatures existence?" Alexander asked looking down at me.
"of course I do"
He smiled "Then trust me"
He took my hand and we moved closer to the creature. One of the warriors looked at the king "Alpha, look at the inner arms, the ones that broke into our territory all have the same marks like we said through the mind link, black circles"
Alexander let go of my hand before moving extremely close to the creature my heart almost stopped but I trusted him. I didn't want to but I just did.
He looked at the creature, studying it
then he whispered "Iris"
Of course it was her. She wanted land and power. Given the rough history they had, something like this was bound to happen. He looked pissed off, I decided not to say anything just yet. We watched the King as his eyes turned completely black in an instant, even the atmosphere turned tense. It didn't take him seconds to rip the banshees head off, he was beyond furious. That's how betrayal felt, it was infuriating.
