Chapter 134
“Well, I already made my choice, Jennie “ he said, looking at Jacqueline with love and adoration in his eyes.
Immediately he said that, Jacqueline felt her heart sink.
She smiled awkwardly when hel looked at her.
“Awwn.” Jennie muttered sadly, bowing her head.
“Don't be sad, Jennie. I’m sure there’s a more good looking guy out there for you, the downside is he’ll probably be around your age.” Alessandro comforted, patting her forehead.
“I hope so” she muttered, diving into his arms, hugging him.
“I love you, big brother Alessandro.” She muttered cutely, pouting her lips.
Alessandro smiled back.
Jacqueline stood behind them, watching the events play out. She was glad Alessandro accepted her. She thought he would actually be hostile with a kid seeing as his growing up wasn't all that smooth.
Jennie disengaged from the hug, “if my sister ever fucks up, have it in mind that you have me as the rebound sister “ she said, blinking her eyes flirtatiously.
Alessandro couldn't control himself and burst out laughing. “Of course I won't forget that”
“i’m never screwing up, boyfriend snatched” Jacqueline scoffed, packing the last of the things inside her bag.
As Jacqueline bent to fold the blanket, a wave of nausea washed over her. She dropped the blanket and rushed to the hospital bathroom, her stomach churning. She barely made it to the toilet before vomiting.
Alessandro burst in, concern etched on his face. "Pretty, what's wrong?" he asked, rushing to her side.
He gently gathered her hair, holding it back from her face. "Are you okay, Jacqueline?" he asked, his voice soft with worry.
She nodded weakly, still retching. Alessandro supported her, his fingers stroking her hair soothingly.
Finally, the vomiting subsided. Alessandro helped her sit back, his arm around her shoulders. "What happened?" he asked, handing her a tissue.
She wiped her mouth, feeling shaky. "I think it was the tuna sandwich," she whispered.
Alessandro's expression turned worried. “Good thing we are at an hospital, We'll get you checked out," he said, helping her stand.
“Nah, i’m fine, it’s just something I ate “ She replied.
Alessandro furrowed his eyebrows “you sure? “
Jacqueline nodded, making her way back to Jennie’s ward.
“Are you okay” Jennie asked, on seeing her sister looking pale and weak, she was worried.
Jacqueline nodded, patting her head. Alessandro helped pack the rest of Jennie things and soon they were on their way after settling the bills.
All through the ride home, Jennie and Alessandro talked and bonded while Jacqueline sat alone, thoughts running through her mind.
She's not been able to keep anything down for the past three weeks. She was barely eating, always tired. It shouldn't be what she's thinking though.
She turned to stare at him and he was engrossed in a Chat with Jennie. Their eyes met and she looked away.
Jacqueline sighed, she can’t be pregnant at least not now that she’s betraying him. She loves Alessandro more than he will ever know, but she did what she did to save her sister and maybe for some of her selfish desires.
Jacqueline soon fell asleep and only woke up when they arrived home.
“Woah, this is huge! “ Jennie said awed by the mansions size and beauty.
“Your sister had the same expression on when she first moved here” Alessandro said, smiling. Jacqueline furrowed her eyebrows at him “that’s not true”
“You think? I got it on camera.” Alessandro stated, bringing out his phone.
“What? I hated your guts back then.” Jacqueline muttered.
“So did I, and that’s why I took a pic in the first place” he shrugged, passion the phone to Jennie who immediately burst out laughing.
“You look hilarious, big sis.” She said.
“Why would you hate him in the first place, he looks cool if you ask him” Jennie said, handing the phone back to Alessandro who was smiling, folding his arms and waiting for Jacqueline's reply”
Jacqueline rolled her eyes “I shaped him into this. He was a rude jerk who believed the world revolved around him”
When she was done, Alessandro laughed out. “For one, you were rude to me, you don't expect him to let that pass, do you? “ he asked, folding his arms.
Jacqueline shook her head, walking inside with a laughing Jennie following. They got inside and it was just Romano in the sitting room. And he was currently twisting his body to the music blaring from the speaker.
“What the hell! Is this a home for drop dead gorgeous men!” Jennie said, her jaws dropped. Jacqueline rolled her eyes at her sisters comment. Walking to the speaker, she turned the music off.
“Who-” Romano started to say, but stopped when he saw Jennie.
“Who let a kid here?” He asked, his face frowning.
“Kid? I’m 16, and legally an adult” Jennie scoffed.
She hated when people called her a kid.
“You.are.a.kid” Romano said, pointing at her.
Jennie glared at him, slapping away his pointed finger. “Well, I think I live her now and while am here, you should leave! “ she said, looking around. The size of the mansion amazed her.
“Living here? “ Romano scoffed. “You’re joking, you just wait for Alessandro to come here, he would kick you away” Romano said. His voice sounding like a kid.
“You mean my brother? “ she asked, bouncing on the couch.
Romano's eyes widened “I knew you looked like Jacqueline”
Jennie shook her head “no you didn't. You are not that smart to put two and two together” she said and just then, Alessandro came in carrying the bags.
“Woah! Up your game Romano, a kid just called you dumb”
“I’m not a kid. “ Jennie frowned.
“Yes you are” Alessandro and Romano said at once making Jennie frown
“Sis, come on, tell that am not a kid” Jennie said to Jacqueline who was descending the states. She looked pale white and weak.
Jacqueline sighed “you are not a kid, don't mind the boys.”
Jennie smiled, sticking out her tongue.
“Now come on, lemme show you to your room” she said, stretching forth her hand.
She wasn't watching where she was going and she stumbled on her feet, falling down the stairs.
“Jacqueline” everyone called at once.
