Jacqueline's eyes widen, pulling away from Alexander's hold

"Who is it?" Alexander asked and the door opened to reveal Santos.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, sitting Jacqueline on his lap
"Sorry to disturb, but there's someone at the gate to see Jacqueline. You said to not let anyone in unless it was authorized."
Alexander nodded "I understand. She will be down in a minute to know who it is. " he said. Santos nodded "yes boss. I'll just tell her to wait around." He stated, turning to leave.
"Santos." Jacqueline called, just as he turned to leave.
"Yes ma'am." He stopped to answer.
"Drop the 'ma'am' I'm just a worker here like everyone else." Jacqueline said. It was crazy how the workers were beginning to add honorifics anytime they talked with her. Like why? She's a maid like them, there was no need for that.
"The boss will have my head ma'am." Santos replied, leaving in a hurry. Like he was being chased by something, the truth is he was avoiding more questions from Jacqueline.
Everyone around the mansion could see she had something going on with the boss, automatically she was their boss's woman. Her saying they shouldn't call her by her new title, she's just saying it because she has to, no one was going to obey her one bit. Jacqueline sighed going back into her room, she changed clothes and headed downstairs.
"Where is she?" She asked a guard when she got to the gate. The guard bowed slightly, pointing at a direction. Jacqueline turned only to see Rena.
What was she doing here again?
Rena stood up from where she was seated, walking towards Jacqueline.
Jacqueline eyes widen in surprise "what are you doing here again?" She asked Rena in a hushed tone.
She shrugged.
"Chain-" at the mention of chain, Jacqueline clasped her mouth shut, pulling her into the house.
"That was stupid of you, mentioning his name out loud like that. What were you thinking?" Jacqueline yelled in a low tone. She didn't want to raise her voice for fear of someone hearing them.
"My mistake." Rena apologized looking around the mansion. She was marveled at the sight. She hadn't seen a beautiful looking mansion that smelt of wealth.
"What are you doing here?" Jacqueline asked looking around to make sure no one was coming.
"Chain asked me to come help."
Jacqueline was taken aback by the casualty of her tone.
"He asked?" Jacqueline stated and Rena nodded.
"Chain doesn't ask, he commands, he orders. He knows something against you and uses it to his advantage. Let's try that question again and this time the truth. What are you doing here?" Jacqueline asked in a fired up tone, folding her arms.
Rena's expression turned sour, suddenly sad. "He has my mom, Jackie. My mom is with him and he threatened to do stuff to her if I don't comply." She said, near tears.
Jacqueline shut her eyes. Someone else, an Innocent person was a victim of Chain's ruthlessness. What in the world was wrong with the fvcking man. Wasn't he loved at home?
"What happened? Something must have happened to warrant this." Jackie asked crashing on the couch nearby.
"Nothing. Nothing happened Jackie." Rena replied, tears streaming down her face.
Jacqueline stared at her, unable to take her word for it. They worked at Chain's club and she knew Rena would do anything to make sure food was on her table. Something wasn't adding up.
"Why can't I take your word for it?" Jacqueline asked, her eyes still on the girl.
"I know I did things for the money and that's why you don't believe, but in this case there's nothing Chain has against." Rena begged with tears in her eyes.
Jacqueline nodded "I'll choose to believe your word for old times sake, but I don't trust you."
Rena breath out in relief.
"You can't be here, you will go back to Chain and tell him I can handle things here on my own. " Jacqueline stated, turning to leave.
"What?" Rena snapped.
"Yes, you heard me loud and clear. I'm handling things fine here on my own, your help isn't wanted. Tell your boss that." Jacqueline said.
"You didn't hear what I just said? He will kill my mom if I return to him without any useful information." Rena stated, gripping Jacqueline's cloth.
"He won't. He has nothing on you, remember? Tell him what I said and whatever his response is, text it to me." Jacqueline said.
"You're handling things? And you fell in love with Alexander? You're handling things, then fvcking head to his room and break his safe and take whatever information you see there." Rena said, her tone sharp and stern in a commanding manner.
"I don't answer to you, Rena. Now leave." Jacqueline warned.
"Did you forget you spilled your secrets to me a while ago? " Rena smirked.
"Okay, so?" Jacqueline asked, not knowing where she was heading.
"I can tell chain all that and you seem to forget your sister is in his hands." Rena smiled wildly, loving the shocked expression on Jacqueline's face.
"I'm sorry, really sorry for you." Jacqueline burst out in feats of laughter shocking Rena.
Why was she laughing? She was being threatened and she's laughing? What's funny in what she just said? Rena wondered, staring at Jacqueline who was now holding her belle, still laughing.
"It's not funny!" Rena screamed out. She hated it when someone laughed at whatever she said.
"I always knew you were a bitch, a fvcked up demon and parasite in search of who to prey on. Let me break it to you. Your threats, are nothing to me. What? You expected me to start shivering or shaking in fear because you were going to break my secrets to your stupid boss, Chain? Go on by all means, he could bring it on I'm done being scared of him." Jacqueline said, her face emotionless. If they told you she was laughing a second ago you won't believe.
Rena lunged at Jacqueline, trying to hit her.
