Chapter 89: Mafia’s possession

Sally gulped, scratching her head, so that was what the interrogation with the manager earlier was about. "Fvck!" She cussed in regret. To be sincere she wanted to let the manager know, but there was a voice screaming at her not to. Where was the voice now? Her mother is being deported, her account has been frozen, she was at the risk of being shipped back to her country. Why in God's name did she let her ego get the better of her.

"Jackie, don't let him do this to me. Please for old-" Sally turned to Jacqueline, about to plead for help.

"For old times sake? Is that what you were about to say?" Romano interrupted.

"We were friends once upon a time, she shouldn't be able to stand seeing a friend being bullied." Sally said.

Romano scoffed, getting better than anyone knew the type of relationship Sally had with Jacqueline.

"Permit me to shoot her, Alexander." He said, reaching for his gun.

"Weren't you at the verge of pleading on her behalf?" Alexander asked, smirking.

"Yeah, cause I thought she was worthy of being forgiven. I had no idea she's still an undeserving bitch. Yes, you were friends with Jacqueline. We both know how many times you stabbed her in the back. You don't deserve to say she should consider old times, the same old times that you were nothing but a pest." Romano bursted out. The club belonged to Alexander, but he was the one who supervised things in the club whenever he wasn't busy running his multi dollar company.

Sally flinched, she was unaware of the fact that someone else knew about how she treated Jacqueline.

"Well, you're out of luck, Sally." Alexander tsked.

"It's time to leave this girl, she isn't worth the time we spent on her." Romano said, withdrawing his phone from his pocket.

"Yeah, I guess. I wish you a nice, miserable life, Sally. " Alexander waved as the security guard came to take her out of the club's vicinity.

Jacqueline just sat where she was, watching the drama unfolding. Today has been hectic and events filled. She rubbed her forehead in exhaustion.

"It's time for the meeting you called, Alexander." The manager informed as he placed a cup of water in front of Jacqueline.

Romano and Alexander nodded at once, getting on their feet.

"I'll be back, wait for me." Alexander whispered to Jacqueline. She nodded, taking a sip of the chilled water.

The three men left, leaving her alone. Jacqueline looked around, the place was dead silent. She sighed, bringing out her phone, deciding to watch a movie.

Halfway through, her phone rang, Jacqueline's heart skipped a beat on seeing the caller. It was chain.

The mission he gave her was still pending as she hadn't figured out how to break into Alexander's safe yet.

She knew he was going to call soon, she didn't just expect it now. She was in Alexander's territory, there could be a listening device, what if someone heard her. Jacqueline ended the call, deciding not to answer. She sighed in relief when the call ended and he didn't call back.

Jacqueline was about to continue watching her movie, when she heard someone clapping at her back.

"Ignoring my calls now, huh?"

She turned back to see Chain standing right behind her, folding his arms. Jacqueline swallowed in fear "w-what are you doing here?" She stuttered, her phone falling to the floor.

"Are you scared of me?" Chain asked, smirking. He was loving the expression she had on, he didn't think he would be able to get Jacqueline to be scared of him.

"N-no." Jacqueline muttered, trying to sound brave, but her voice came out shaky. She closed her eyes trying to get a grip of herself.

"You're scared Jacqueline." Chain chuckled, going closer to her.

"Don't come closer." She demanded, shifting back. She was seated on a chair, so her shifting back didn't help to put a distance between them.

"Come on, pretty girl. What happened to the fearless Jackie I used to know." He smacked his lips, closing the space between them and placing his left hand on her lap and his right hand on her face.

"Get away from me." Jacqueline seethed.

"Why?" He asked, his right hand trailing her face.

"The feeling of your cheeks on my hand is heavenly." Chain said, bringing his face closer to her.

Jacqueline withdrew, slapping him across the face. His face whipped to the other side before she pushed him off.

"I can be your little spy because you're holding something dear to me captive, but I'll never be your little whore like Rena and the other girls you manipulate. I will not!" Jacqueline stated.

"Nice one, if you were too cheap Alexander will have no desire for you."Chain laughed, rubbing his now red cheek.

"You hit like a bitch, Jackie. Dear Alexander not putting you through self defences?" He asked.

Jacqueline got down from her chair, standing boldly in front of him. Chain cleared his throat, stepping back. Jacqueline was taller than him and anytime she stood up, he felt overshadowed.

"Want to try and see for yourself if he's teaching me self defence or not?" Jacqueline asked, looking him up and down like he was some piece of trash. She immediately asked herself why she was scared of the peasant in the first place.

"Not scared anymore, huh?" Chain asked.

"Nah, I just realized I am standing in the presence of a minor." Jacqueline returned, shrugging.

"Minor, huh? This minor has you doing his bidding, on his beck and call. This minor has your sister, this minor has all the evidence and can show it to Alexander who will immediately throw you into jail-"

"But you won't." Jacqueline interrupted him, chuckling.

"You won't, because you haven't gotten what you wanted. You won't because the moment you stand in his presence he won't believe anything that comes out of your mouth, because just like I said, you are a minor."
