Chapter 142
“That's because you threatened her sister and before you spit out anything else, I knew from the beginning” Alessandro said and Chain almost died from shock.
“That’s a lie, there was no way you knew. I made sure you didn't.” Chain said, shaking his head.
“You got the news of a shipment didn't you, you checked it out and it turned out to be wrong,didn't it? It was after that that day I knew she was supplying you information. I forgave her for a long time again. When I look at her now, I don't see the spy you sent to me. I see the beautiful and well mannered woman I fell in love with. You failed at being a manager, you failed at being a gang member, what exactly are you good at, Chancellor?” Alessandro asked, calling him by his full name.
“You should hang yourself, because technically you are one hell of a disappointment.” Romano butter in.
“It was nice encountering you a lot. Even though you showed me hell, I had fun while it lasted.” Alessandro said, bringing out his gun.
“Any last words, once again?” He asked.
The trio remained silent, showing they had nothing left to say.
“Well, see y’all in hell.” Alessandro said. Aiming the gun at Chain, Romano aimed at Greta, Vincenzo aimed at Santiago and together they fired bullets at them. Not stopping until the whole round was finished.
“Well, that’s done.” Romano muttered, taking Ariel out. Vincenzo patted his son and also walked out with his army. It was just Alessandro and Jacqueline left in the room. Someone took Jennie to the hospital already.
“So… there is nothing i’ll tell you to make you stay.” Alessandro asked, tucking his hands in his pants.
“I hurt you a lot, Alessandro. If I stay I’ll keep reminding myself of the harm I caused you. You were stabbed just because Chain thought I would take it as a persuasion to give him what he wanted.”
“You still didn't give him anything, Jacqueline. And I wasn't the only one who got hurt, you lost a child during that incident.” Alessandro said and Jacqueline nodded. “Yeah I knew about that. It doesn't justify it, Alessandro. I’m sorry, but I just have to go. Maybe one day.” She said,
“Wait for me, please. Take your time, work on yourself. Like I said, I'll be back for you and when I do, if I find out there's a man in the picture, I'll kill him. You that, right” Alessandro asked, smiling.
“Yeah, I'll wait.” Jacqueline said smiling.
“Kiss me, please.” Alessandro said and she smiled, walking up to him, she grabbed his neck, kissing him passionately. Alessandro smiled into the kiss, grabbing her waist.
“Thank you for loving me, Alessandro Vladimir.” Jacqueline muttered.
“Thank you for sticking with me, Jacqueline Cruz.” He replied. Jacqueline was near tears already and the longer she stayed, the harder it will be for her to leave him. Slowly she pulled out of his embrace and walked away, Leaving Alessandro.
Alessandro turned, watching her leave. He knew she needed to go, that’s why he let her. If not,
He sighed, looking around
The dead bodies were already being moved, when they were done, he walked out slowly, to his car. He sighted Jacqueline at a distance, talking to his father. He had no idea what, but it didn't concern him. He got in his car with Romano and drove away. Who would think a day ago they had their women by their side, now it’s just them left.
“It’s kinda nice, us bros have got to stick together.” Romano said, trying hard to not sound sad, he failed.
“There’s nothing nice about that, Romano.” Alessandro muttered, releasing a deep breath. Everything started when he walked into that bar and decided he wanted her for the night
He smiled remembering her shocked face when the elixir she used didn't work on him.
He promised her time, he just doesn't know how long he will be able to go on without her.
Alessandro sighed, they were back home. He parked the car in his garage and got down. The first person he saw was Penelope and immediately she saw him, she ran to him, hugging him.
“I’m sorry.” She whispered.
“It’s fine, she’s fine, everyone is fine. But, like I said, she won't want to come back.” Alessandro said, sadly.
“I know,how are you?.” she asked.
“Other than the feeling that my heart has been ripped out, I'm fine.” He said and Penelope nodded.
“Let's go in”

“You’ll always have a home here, you know that right?” Vincenzo said. He and Jacqueline were walking to her car, it was his turn to bid her goodbye.
“I know, I wronged him and I just need to forgive myself before anything else”
Vincenzo nodded in understanding. “Where are you going anyway?” He asked.
“I have no idea, I was thinking London, my parents are there and I just want to get to know them” Jacqueline said.
“I thought they were here in Rome?” He asked and she shook her head. “My adoptive parents are here, biological parents are in London _ she said.
“Good bye, Pretty girl,” Vincenzo said, smiling.
“Do well to take care of him for me.” Jacqueline said and he nodded. They hugged and Jacqueline bid Vincenzo goodbye and walked back to her car. Jennie was sleeping at the back and her wounds tended to.
“You ready?” she asked, turning to Ariel.
“Yep.” She answered.
“You know, you don't have to come. You'll be better off with Romano.” Jacqueline said softly, feeling guilty that she’s ripping two lovers from each other.
“What did I say, Jacqueline? Us girls have got to stick together.” Ariel answered and she nodded.
“I feel bad, that’s just it.” She said,
“It’s fine, they will come for us at the end of the day, now we just have to figure things out on our own.” Ariel said.
Jacqueline sighed, turning on the ignition and driving off. She felt empty, like she was leaving a piece of herself behind. She rubbed her chest in pain. Leaving Alessandro behind was a hard decision she had to take. She needed to forgive herself before anything else.
