Chapter 141
“You never said what you want, Chain. You think Santiago won’t kill you when he’s done with you?” Alessandro asked.
Just then, the door burst open again, this time Santiago and Greta walked in.
“Great, Chain. Should we expect someone else?” Alessandro asked.
“I see the party started without us.” Santiago said, walking towards the chain. He stopped right in front of the circle. “Wow, everyone did get the invite” he muttered, laughing slowly.
“We are all here, welcome. Now can we finally get to the point. You see, unlike you both I have something to attend to at home. State what you want, I'm feeling generous.” Romano said and Santiago signaled to his men and immediately they sent a bullet into Romano’s legs.
Romano grunted, falling to the ground.
Ariel screamed out, rushing to me. “I’m fine, really.” He said, smiling softly.
“Now that the buzzing bee has been killed, where are the files Alessandro” Santiago asked.
“You will never live to be crowned on that one, Santiago.” Alessandro spat.
“You think so? Bring the papers and let’s see” he said, smiling.
“That’s fine, but there was someone I would like you to meet.” Alessandro shrugged, snapping his fingers. Bruno emerged from where he hid.
Greta who was silent stared at him, the look of surprise on her face. She thought he had died when she left him in the hospital.
“What’s this?” Santiago asked in disgust.
“Let’s see.” Alessandro said, putting his hands in his pants and bringing out a slip of paper.
“Your one and only son died a long time ago, well here is a replacement.” Alessandro said, throwing the slip to him.
Santiago signaled to one of the guys and they picked it up and handed it to him. Opening the slip, it was a DNA test report.
“What is this?” He asked, shoving the slip in Greta's face. She looked away in embarrassment.
“After that night, you disappeared and handed my son to that puppy called Vincenzo?” He asked in anger.
Greta looked away, shaking in fear. At that time Vladimir was the best option.
“If your wife had not threatened to kill me, just maybe you would have none about him.” She shrugged, with barely any remorse.
“You…” Santiago started to say, but was interrupted.
“We are not here from any family drama. You both already made that known the moment we walked in here.” Romano said, standing up. Surprisingly he was fine.
“In 3… 2… 1… he will cough out his guts and when that starts you have about 20 minutes to save his life unless you get to watch him first hand lose his life. Now the bargain begins… you bring out Jennie and k give you the antidote to the poison. Note if you try anything funny, Bruno will cough out his insides and believe me,even though it’s the last thing I do,I will enjoy the scenery.” Alessandro said, folding his arms, staring at Greta and Santiago. As soon as he was done, Bruno fell to the floor, coughing out blood.
Greta winced, grabbing Santiago’s arm.
“What makes you think I care about him?” Santiago scoffed.
“You don't? If you didn't, you wouldn't have asked why she kept him from you.” Romano said.
Santiago closed his eyes, contemplating on what to do.
“Bring her out.” Santiago waved at his guys and soon after, Jennie was thrown to the floor beside Jacqueline.
Jacqueline gasped, hugging her sister. Jennie groaned in pain as she was hugged. They didn't just take her prisoner, they went ahead to beat her.
“You promised she would not be harmed.” Jacqueline said, staring at her sister’s battered body.
“Yeah, you might have made a deal with Chain right here, you sure as hell didn't make one with me.” Santiago snarled and Jacqueline shook her head as their cake fell down her face.
“I’m fine, really” Jennie managed to say as she was in a lot of pain.
“I’m sorry, I should have protected you more.” Jacqueline said.
“You did protect me, jay. In my next life I would want to be your lil sister again.”Jennie muttered.
“The antidote, now!” Santiago said, stretching forth his hand.
Alessandro looked away “Chain promised to not hurt Jennie and he did, the deal is off.” He said.
“You wouldn't dare.” Santiago dared, revealing his gun, pointing at Alessandro. so did his guys.
“Are you sure you want to do this right now?” Alessandro asked.
“I’ve been waiting all week for this” he said and Alessandro scoffed, his eyes on the armed men pointing the gun at him, he blinked and immediately they pushed Greta and Santiago and chain to the middle, surrounding them.
“What did I tell you, Santiago? You won’t live to see the coronation.” Alessandro shrugged.
“How is this possible?” Santiago asked, looking around. Greta was already shivering in fear.
“You took over my father’s clan. His men are loyal to a fault.” Alessandro shrugged and just then the door burst open.
“Who is it again!” Romano groaned, turning around. Vincenzo Vladimir matched in, leaning heavily on his walking stick.
“Oh, it’s papa bear,” Romano squealed in excitement.
“Behave,” Alessandro scolded.
“No! It can't be. You killed him didn't you?” Santiago yelled at Alessandro.
“I thought I did, thank God I didn't. Because who would have come to my rescue.” Alessandro shrugged, going to hug his dad.
“I’m sorry, dad.” He whispered.
“It’s fine son, I'll spend the rest of my life atoning for my sins.” Vincenzo said.
“It’s fine, dad. It’s time to let go.” Alessandro said and he nodded.
“Now where are we?” Alessandro said, looking back at Santiago and Greta who were currently surrounded by his father’s army.
“Any last words?” Romano asked, grinning from ear to ear.
Chain made to stand up, but was immediately shoved to the ground.
“Jacqueline never loved you,” he said.
Alessandro scoffed “at the beginning she didn't, but now? She does.” He said, staring at Jacqueline.
“If she did why would she agree to spy on you for me”
“That's because you threatened her sister and before you spit out anything else, I knew from the beginning” Alessandro said and Chain almost died from shock.
