Mafia’s possession:chapter 90
"But you won't." Jacqueline interrupted him chuckling.
"You won't, because you haven't gotten what you wanted. You won't because the moment you stand in his presence he won't believe anything that comes out of your mouth, because just like I said, you are a minor." She shrugged, seating back down.
"You want him out of whatever game you both are playing and I'm the key, you can't achieve your aim without me, Rope." Jacqueline smirked.
"What makes you think so, that I can't get rid of you and replace you, and hope you didn't just call me 'Rope'"
"Can't you see it? I'm the right person for the job. I loathe him for a reason you don't know, and who else to help you stab your enemy other than someone who sees that same person as an enemy?" Jacqueline smirked, picking up her phone.
"And yes, I called you rope, who in God's name gave their kid a name like 'Chain'? Rope is more...i don't know, reasonable." She smiled.
"You're getting on my nerves, Jay Z." Chain seethed.
"I know, dear. I know." Jacqueline huffed.
"Time is ticking, the more you let it run by, I might get impatient and do something you won't like and you will see that you aren't as useful as you think you are. " He said.
"Don't you dare harm my sister and the next time you send Rena to my house, that's the day all business with you is off. I'll come-"
Chain burst out laughing "wait, did you just call the Vladimir mansion own by the ruthless Alexander Vladimir yours? What kind of fantasy dream are you in, madame?" He asked and Jacqueline just stared at him.
"You didn't get the meme, did you?" She asked.
"What memo?" Chain asked, his face morphing into a frown. Was there something he missed or did his other spy fail to report it to him.
"You didn't miss anything and the other spy that your mind just went to, you should offer your condolences as you won't be seeing or hearing from him again." Jacqueline stated.
Of course she knew he planted someone else in the house and she had found out not immediately, but she still did before he reported back to Chain. The idiot had reached out to her immediately, spurting nonsense about them being partners for a greater cause. She had accused him of assault and Alexander had raged in anger, shooting him in the head immediately.
"What did you do, Jacqueline?" Chain asked, his tone sounding strong and if it was in past times, Jacqueline should be cowering in fear.
"Nothing much." She shrugged.
"Don't do anything stupid and I will do as you asked, the moment you think I'm bluffing or I'm kidding, is the moment I'll come after you with everything and when I mean everything, you know who I have in mind." Jacqueline threatened.
Chain swallowed, hell the girl in front of him looked intimidating. When he found out that she was here and decided to come, the plan was to scare her and get her agitated. It's been a while he saw her and he had no idea she had gotten bolder and fearless. He clenched his fist, regretting sending someone of her nature there. Jacqueline was intimidating, brave and smart even before meeting Alexander, with Alexander she's more and it got him terrified.
"Remember what you're doing this for, Jay z. Don't lose sight of it." He warned.
"Yes, I know exactly why am doing this. I want my revenge for him outing me out." Jacqueline said, and he nodded, turning to leave.
"Chain." Jacqueline called after him. He turned slightly to stare at her.
"Don't order me around like that, I said I'll get it done and I will." She said and Chain rolled his eyes.
"And thank you, I think I've found my place." She stated, resuming the movie she was watching.
Chain stared at her, turning to leave.
Just then, the door exiting the underground floor opened and Alexander and Romano stepped out.
"Chain, my acquaintance. What are you doing here?" Romana called, walking up to him.
Chain shrugged "just stopped by to have a drink, but discovered the place was locked." He said, his eyes on Alexander who was now with Jacqueline. They were currently whispering in each other's ears.
"You're a manager in one of our clubs, you won't tell me you didn't get the memo." Alexander said, his focus was on Jacqueline.
"Um, b-boss my phone got misplaced." He stuttered, clearly feeling bullied by Alexander's presence.
Like on queue, his phone pinged in his pocket.
"The same phone that just beeped in your pocket? " Romano asked.
Chain scratched his ear, running out of lies and excuse to give.
"I just got-" He was about to say, but was interrupted by Jacqueline.
"If you want to lie, lie with honor." She said.
Romano and Alexander chuckled. "Nice one jackie. " Romano complimented.
"Lie with sense." He said.
"I'm sorry, boss. I guess I didn't read the mail." Chain answered, glaring at Jacqueline. The girl was beginning to have guts that he didn't like and he was going to do something about it.
"I'll get going now." He said, turning to leave.
"Chain." Alexander called, stopping him on his tracks.
"You said you stopped by for a drink." Alexander said.
"Y-yes." Chain stuttered.
"What? No drinks in your club." Alexander asked.
"I- uh-" Chain kept stuttering, not finding the right words to say.
Jacqueline directed her focus to her movie, if she didn't involve herself in the conversation, Alexander won't think that there's anything wrong.
Romano watched the both of them, Alexander was driving to a point. He felt that there was something his best friend wasn't letting him know. He was just going to wait till he tells him though, no need to rush.
"He came to see me." The manager of the club they were in said. He was in cohorts with Chain and he wasn't going to let their secret activities get exposed.
