Chapter 8
Shame? No, that was an understatement for what Jacqueline felt. Jacqueline turned red out of embarrassment and she quickly buried herself in the water, leaving just her head out.
"How are you here? You were supposed to be on a trip, if I knew you were here then I wouldn't have come out of my room. How did you stay underwater for that long? Are you a merman?" Jacqueline wailed, she felt so embarrassed. If she had known she would end up in such a problematic situation, she wouldn't have dared to leave her room, gosh!
Alexander let out a deep chuckle that had her insides twisting and he examined her like she was a small animal.
"This is my house, I should be asking you why you're here and not tucked in bed in your room. Now look at the situation you have landed yourself in" Alexander smiled sinisterly as he ran his tongue through his perfectly aligned teeth.
"I.. I…" Jacqueline gulped as her lips began to quiver, half because of the cold and half because of the situation she was in now.
She vividly remembered that this same man had seen her boobs before and he had sucked on them, he was the first guy to ever do that to her. Jacqueline's face turned even more red as she remembered it, her life was ruined now. One moment she felt butterflies in her stomach from thinking about the money she would be making and now, things had gone downhill.
"I never knew.. you'd be here. I'm sorry and I really just want to leave" Jacqueline said nervously and for a moment, she was carried away with the view of the water droplets running down his sculpted body.
"Leave then" he said as he made eye contact with her and she quickly avoided it.
Jacqueline took her red lips in, was this guy simply playing dumb or was he just trying to irk her like he always did? Jacqueline sighed out.
"You'll have to close your eyes and turn your back so I can leave" Jacqueline said and she got a bit startled when he chuckled again.
"Huh? Are we playing hide and seek now?" He asked as mirth shone in his eyes.
Jacqueline clenched her fist under the water, she knew she was doomed now. Alexander was nothing but the devil's spawn, he derived pleasure from tormenting her or was it everyone around him?
"Well..you have to close your eyes as a gentleman should" Jacqueline said and her lips trembled more. Was she really supposed to tell him that? That's what he was supposed to do immediately he saw her half naked, not staring at her like a pervert.
"Who said I was a gentleman?" Alexander asked calmly as his left eyebrows tipped up and a sinister smile adorned his lips.
Jacqueline gulped when he walked forward and her heart almost skipped a beat, what the hell was he doing?
"Don't…don't move" Jacqueline said nervously as she became panic-stricken, what the hell was this nutjob planning? Obviously something evil.
"Are you commanding me Jacqueline?" He asked in a daunting voice.
Jacqueline hadn't expected him to say her name and when he did, it struck a chord in her chest. Alexander continued approaching her and Jacqueline swam backwards, hoping he would stop his frightening games, she was already terrified.
"No I'm not…please stop moving" Jacqueline pleaded hoping he would stop now that she had added 'please' to the statement but then again, it was Alexander Vladimir she was talking about here.
Alexander kept approaching her and Jacqueline moved backwards in an attempt to run away from him but what she didn't know was that no one had successfully been able to do that.
Jacqueline gasped when she felt her back collide with the edge of the pool, there was nowhere else left to run to. Her heart skipped a beat when he got closer and even more closer.
His head to his waist region was above the water and as for her it was just her head that was above the water. With him being so close to her, Jacqueline just wanted to drown herself.
She immersed herself in the water and she was about swimming away when Alexander grasped her hair and he brought her head out of the water with it.
Jacqueline gasped as Alexander gently pushed her head back to the edge of the pool and he placed one of his hands at the side of her head as he smirked darkly, like he always did.
Jacqueline was at least glad that the rest of her body was still hidden by the water. Her heart drummed in her ears as Alexander locked eyes with her. Usually, she wasn't affected by his eye contact with hers but now that they were in such a precarious position, she was more aware of his presence than ever.
"You know…" Alexander drawled as his gaze shifted to her collarbone. "I've been thinking about the reason why you were ransacking my stuff" Alexander said as he gauged her expression with a sinister smirk on his lips.
Jacqueline tried to control her racing heart, it wasn't like he was a vampire and he would hear it anyways. She felt like there was a huge lump in her throat that wouldn't go away no matter how many times she gulped. Had he found out the truth already? Was her demise really near? Although her head was in chaos, she tried to school her expression so as to not make it obvious that she was up to no good.
"Well…now I know" Alexander said as his finger slowly traced her collarbone and down to her shoulder blades making Jacqueline shiver as his fingers were colder than the water.
Jacqueline's body froze, he knew about the plan now. It meant he had plans of drowning her in the pool. Jacqueline parted her lips to say something but he placed his finger on her lips, indicating she should stay quiet.
"You have a crush on me, don't you?" Alexander said and Jacqueline internally sighed in relief. At least his mother fuckin theorem was better than him finding out about the truth.
Jacqueline just stared at him and she badly wanted to deny the false allegations but if she did, what other reason did she have to tell him? He might start thinking she's a thief and arrest her or worse.
And so with a bitter mind and heart about how the situation had turned from bad to worse and then to miserable, Jacqueline agreed to his words with a heavy heart.
"Yes, I do".
