Chapter 140
“Bring who here?” Romano asked and Alessandro pointed at the door. Immediately chain and other guys emerged, holding Ariel, Jacqueline and Jennie.
“Well, well,well…” Chain smirked coming in.
“The whole party is here.I didn't think I would see the day.” He said.
“What do you want, Chain?” Romano asked, glaring in hatred.
“Do I want something? I don't know but what I do know is, none of you are walking out here alive.” He said.
“You’re kidding.” Alessandro said.
“Am I?”
“You think that your band of college kids will be able to stop me? I’m not even talking about Romano yet.” Alessandro asked, tucking his hands in his pocket, looking calm. His gaze will move to Jacqueline only when he was sure that she wasn't harmed did he focus on Chain.
“Oh, my bad.” Chain smiled, waving at the entrance and immediately 30 bulky men walked through the door.
“What’s with you and having a big mouth?” Romano scoffed, glaring at Alessandro.
“I had no idea they were this much, you can't blame me.” He muttered. They kept trooping in and they had to retreat.
“Is this enough or do you want more? “ Chain asked, smiling.
Alessandro looked around, they had surrounded them and the girls were currently in the middle with them.
He was about to do something today when one of the armed guys growled in his direction.
“Uh… I think this is alright” he said and the chain burst out laughing.
“I didn't think I would see the day when Almighty Alessandro Vincenzo and Romano, whatever your other name is, would cower at their feet.” He said, laughing hysterically.
Alessandro and Romano exchanged stares, leaning in to each other. “Is he blind? We are still standing” they said at once and Ariel burst out laughing.
“This is a serious case for you two, wrong time to make jokes.” She said, still laughing. Chain signaled to his guys and immediately he growled at Ariel, shutting her up immediately.
“Fine, we’ll ask the questions you want us to. What do you want, Rope.” Romano asked, rolling his eyes.
“You’re hilarious.” Alessandro muttered in his ears.
“What? What’s the point of answering Chain when he looks like that?” Romano said, glaring at Chain. His big belly cracking him up.
“Seriously, chain, what do you eat?” Romano asked.
“What are you doing, Romano?” Alessandro asked.
“Baiting him, buying us for papa bear to get here.” He answered.
“Where’s my sister, Chain.” Jacqueline spoke up, her voice hoarse from crying.
“I don't understand? What was the earlier agreement, pretty girl?” chain said, crouching besides her abs trailing his hand up and down her cheek.
“I fulfilled my side of the bargain, I did everything you asked. I brought the file, which you rejected, he’s here so where the is my sister.” Jacqueline yelled, grabbing a hold of Chain and pummeling his face with slaps.
“Where the is my baby sister?” She asked, sending her hands to his neck.
On seeing the attack on their boss, the armed guys came close. Alessandro acted fast and pulled her away.
“Let me go!! Let me finish the bastard son of a bitch” Jacqueline yelled, trying to pull away from his grip.
“Hey, look at them. They wouldn't think twice before shooting you to death” he said.
Jacqueline shook her head, still struggling. “I need my baby sister, where's my baby sister?” she cried, hugging Alessandro.
“You’ll get her back. I will get her back, baby.” He muttered, hugging her back.
Their little moment was disrupted by Chain
“Awwwn how cute this is.” He said laughing maniacally.
“How cute is this, guys?” He asked, turning to his guys.
“Very cute. Even in the face of danger they still can play lovey dovey. I'm impressed.” Chain’s second i’m command said.
“Are you kidding me? It’s not even about that. After everything they've both done to harm each other one way or the other.” Chain said and immediately he and his guys bursted out laughing.
Alessandro rolled his eyes, Jacqueline still in his arms.
“I’m sorry, Alessandro. All you did was love me and I ended up stabbing you in the back.” Jacqueline said.
“I used to work for a chain because I hated you…” Jacqueline started to say only to be interrupted.
“I know. I knew from the start.” Alessandro said. Jacqueline widened her eyes in shock and tried leaving his embrace.
“Stay here, Jacqueline.” He muttered, not letting her go.
“What do you mean?” She asked, her voice barely over a whisper.
“I knew from day one, baby girl” Alessandro said.
“And you did nothing?” She asked, tears flooding down her cheeks.
“I’m sorry, Alessandro.” She croaked out.
“It’s fine, pretty girl. At the end of the day, I guess I loved you either way. I know you weren't trying to hurt anyone and you wouldn't have done it if he hadn't threatened Jennie.”
Jacqueline cried, she felt bad hearing his statement. She had never felt more bad and awful.
“I love you anyway. I guess I can't change your mind about leaving, but do what makes you happy. Just know one thing, I'll come for you eventually and when I do, please don't leave me again.” He said and she nodded.
“Okay, party over.” Chain stated. He had no idea what they said, but seeing him and Jacqueline together, made him jealous.
He signaled to one of the guys and they pulled Jacqueline away from Alessandro. They both exchanged loving stares.
“I should be thanked for letting you both say the final goodbye when the party hasn't arrived yet.” Chain said, frowning.
“What party?” Alessandro asked.
“Oh, don't be faster than your shadow my love, they will be here eventually.” Chain said.
Romano and Alessandro exchanged looks, their eyes speaking words their mouths couldn't.
Romano nodded at Alessandro unasked question.
“You never said what you want, Chain. You think Santiago won’t kill you when he’s done with you?” Alessandro asked.
Just then, the door burst open again, this time Santiago and Greta walked inside.
