Chapter 103 Divine Skill: Green Light Overhead
"Next up! Uriah versus Brady!"
Brady couldn't help but chuckle. He was itching to get back at Uriah for yesterday's loss.
Before John and Joshua could even react, Uriah jumped in, "Chill, if I can't win, I'll just throw in the towel."
He knew his limits.
Uriah's contract spirit was more about detection, making this fight pretty unfair for him.
Brady summoned his contract spirit first.
A three-meter-long crocodile with gray scales appeared, its massive tail swaying slightly, eyes cold and fierce.
It was a B-class Desert Crocodile!
This wasn't your average croc; it was a beast built for land combat.
"Quit stalling! Where's your contract spirit?" Brady clenched his fists, ready for payback.
Uriah smirked, especially when he saw Brady's spirit.
A chubby Caterpillar with transparent wings appeared. It looked out of place but had a unique charm.
"You're toast!"
The Desert Crocodile's massive tail swung, launching an attack.
Knowing the opponent was a flying type, it aimed to deal heavy damage right away.
The Caterpillar wasn't fast and got hit by the tail, its belly rupturing and blood spilling out.
One was a combat type, the other a support type—totally different levels.
John and Joshua stood up, ready to tell Uriah to surrender.
If the contract spirit got seriously hurt, it would be a huge loss.
"Too weak! What was the school thinking, putting you in the special training class?"
Brady grinned, finally feeling the sweet taste of revenge.
Because John had crushed his spirit before.
Uriah still didn't surrender. The Caterbutterfly struggled to flap its wings and finally got airborne.
But it kept bleeding and would soon fall from weakness.
People shouted, "Surrender! It's no point!"
Uriah shook his head, a wicked smile on his lips, as the Butterfly's eyes glowed green.
A green light, almost alive, danced in the air.
"Is he trying to..." John and Joshua exchanged a glance, immediately understanding Uriah's plan.
It was the divine skill Green Light Overhead!
The green light flashed and almost instantly appeared over Brady's head.
Seeing the green glow, the whole class burst into laughter.
"What kind of skill is this?!"
"Brady! There's green light over your head!"
"This green light is so bright, I can't even open my eyes. Someone check Brady's face for me."
The classmates' comments made Brady furious. He couldn't believe Uriah had such an absurd skill.
"Mr. Alexander! He's breaking the rules by using a skill on a Beast Tamer!" Brady gritted his teeth, feeling totally stifled.
Zane was just as speechless, not expecting such a wild skill.
John chimed in, "Teacher! Uriah just added a special effect. It didn't cause any real harm, so it's not against the rules!"
Zane frowned but nodded, agreeing with John's point. He also wanted to toughen up the students' mental game.
"This doesn't count as real harm!"
Brady clenched his fists. His spirit had been crushed yesterday, and now he was facing this humiliation!
He felt like the whole world was watching him.
"Go for it! You can do it!" John's shout made Brady lose it again, his body twitching occasionally.
"Fine! Let's see how long your contract spirit can last!" Brady closed his eyes, pretending not to see the green light over his head.
The Butterfly's belly was still bleeding, but if it held on, it would surely win.
Uriah calmly gave the Butterfly an order.
The flying Butterfly opened its mouth and spat out a small camera!
The Butterfly's antennae moved and skillfully turned on the camera.
This scene surprised everyone below.
John was equally shocked. He now knew who took the photos of the Black Market fake medicine dealer!
A Butterfly that could use a camera?!
"Smile for the camera!" Uriah grinned as the Butterfly turned on the flash.
"Imagine you're a superstar on a stage watched by millions of people, and the green light over your head is a symbol of your glory."
Uriah's words made the whole class burst into laughter.
Brady's mouth twitched continuously, feeling mentally tortured and unable to bear it any longer.
"I surrender! But I have one request!"
He sighed deeply, as if he was exhausted.
Uriah smiled, "Don't worry, I won't keep the photo."
Brady nodded, retracted his contract spirit, and gave up the match.
Even Zane felt Brady had been tormented. Not just for a student, even he couldn't endure it.
Uriah's words were especially humiliating.
For a moment, the class stopped laughing, but their gazes at Uriah changed.
They made up their minds that if the Butterfly flew up, they would immediately surrender.
This was a mental blow!
"Impressive, Uriah!"
John hadn't expected Uriah to win this way.
Uriah grinned, "Skill, it's all skill, can't help it."
Zane's mouth twitched. He thought the three of them were just a bit eccentric, but now it seemed even their contract spirits were unusual.
