Chapter 76 You Were Not From This School
Mia's punches were powerful and intimidating. Just the sound alone was enough to instill fear in others.
The other five individuals also snapped out of their daze and glared at Mia.
"What? Do you want to help him?!"
Mia grinned ferociously, paying no attention to the five others.
A furious Mia was just like a lioness. The strong aura she emitted was enough to send chills down one's spine.
The other five clenched their fists but hesitated to intervene.
"Mia! You are asking for trouble!"
Peter's voice, muffled by the bag over his head, was filled with resentment. He hadn't expected Mia to be so brazen.
In a flash, the space above his head abruptly tore open.
An incredibly ferocious snake head stretched out, its sudden appearance immediately invoking a chilling sensation.
Since he was a prodigy of the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic, his control over the Beast Taming space was naturally beyond comparison to that of ordinary people.
Summoning a part of the contract spirit's body, known as semi-phantom summoning, was a skill all first-year students needed to master.
Mia sneered, and the space above her head ruptured similarly.
A massive dragon head emerged, its red scales shimmering vividly under the neon light, and it was even enveloped in flames.
This was Mia's first S-class contract spirit: the Crimson Flame Pseudo-Dragon!
To be precise, it was the Crimson Flame Dragon. When Mia became an Iron-tier Beast Tamer, it had undergone a bloodline evolution, shedding its title as a 'pseudo-dragon'.
Though it was not yet terrifyingly powerful like an SS class, it had grown significantly stronger than an S-class.
The Flame Dragon roared, clamping fiercely down on the opponent's snake head.
The two terrifying contract spirits kept biting and fighting each other, but the aftershocks of the battle were surprisingly controlled within a radius of 16 feet. It didn't even affect the street.
This was the first rule of the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic: students were allowed to summon their contract spirits in the city, but they must not harm innocent people; otherwise, they would face severe punishment.
Even though Peter was drunk, he instinctively controlled his contract spirit, not daring to involve ordinary people.
Soon, his Crystal Serpent fell into a disadvantage and was completely suppressed.
Peter himself was also beaten up. His originally handsome face had suffered serious injuries.
The Crystal Serpent finally couldn't bear it and returned to the Beast Taming space.
Mia retracted the Crimson Dragon with a kick, sending Peter, laden with a large bag, comically flying several feet.
Mia shouted, "Get lost, you bastards!"
Mia clapped her hands, exuding an overwhelmingly domineering aura that caught the attention of passersby.
The remaining five individuals dared not make eye contact and quickly escorted Peter away from the scene.
John and David remained calm, eating their meals without offering any assistance.
They might face setbacks, but they had never seen Mia fail.
David cleared his throat and asked, "Mia, is that your classmate?"
"Yes, he probably had it out for me before, and now that he's drunk, he dared to provoke me."
Mia nodded and continued eating, unfazed by the incident.
There were many who disapproved of her, but one man was insignificant.
While the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic was the pinnacle of Beast Taming universities, competition within it was brutal. Apart from their Beast Guards, almost everyone was considered hostile.
Resources were limited. If you didn't compete for them, someone else would claim them.
An hour later, the three of them were satiated.
Despite Mia's slender figure and lack of an ounce of fat, her appetite rivaled that of John and David.
Mia said, "Lena, the bill!"
Their hotel that John had booked was nearby. After a day of travel by train, they were a bit tired and ready to rest.
They agreed to meet the next morning for a tour of the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic.
John immediately fell asleep when they returned to the hotel.
In the infirmary of the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic.
Peter, who had been beaten up badly, kept wailing. The alcohol had worn off, and the pain seemed to double.
The school doctor wiped Peter's face with medicinal wine andasked, "Who hit you so hard? It seems a bit excessive."
One of the people accompanying Peter said, "Who else could it be? It was Mia!"
"Well, then it's fine." The school doctor nodded understandingly. "It seems that Mia was in a good mood today. She didn't hit you that hard."
The five people were speechless.
Peter wailed, "Yves, why didn't you guys help me?"
He thought he had five others with him people, but in the end, he fought alone.
Yves sighed. "Peter, you know how powerful Mia's two contract spirits are. We didn't stand a chance against her!"
Another person suddenly said seriously, "I think we can't beat them."
Peter said, "Zachary is more confident than you guys. You're a bunch of timid fellows!"
Zachary explained, "Peter, you misunderstood what I meant. Mia's two contract spirits are very strong. We can't defeat her."
"Get lost!" Peter roared, accidentally pulling at his wound, which caused more pain.
"Peter, don't provoke Mia anymore." One of them sighed. "We are about to be juniors now, and most seniors are hunting in the Alternate Dimension. There are really not many people in the school who can defeat her."
Peter said, "I didn't want to. I was just drunk today!"
"We all tried to stop you, but we couldn't."
The next morning, John and his companions arrived at the entrance of the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic.
Two imposing stone dragons stood guard, exuding a majestic presence.
John said, "They truly are the cream of the crop, selected from across the nation."
John observed the students coming and going, and their exceptional demeanor indicated that none were ordinary.
John said, "Let's go in and have a look."
As they approached the entrance, they noticed a male student presenting a card to a device, which then opened the gates for him.
"It seems like we need a card," David whispered, leaning in.
For a university, the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic seemed unusually strict about access control.
At that moment, John was presented with options.
[Option 1: Wait for Mia to come out. Reward: Small amount of Beast-Taming power]
[Option 2: Attempt to blend into the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic. Reward: 5% increase in Slime defense]
[Option 3: Force your way in. Reward: Gain the title 'Fearless,' Effect: Transform Slime's personality to brave]
John ignored the third option. Even a random student from the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic could easily defeat him, let alone a teacher.
It seemed like the second option was the only viable choice.
With a calm demeanor, John took out his passport, pretending to swipe it.
However, the gate showed no response.
John asked, "Orion, it seems like there's an issue with my card. Could you help me out?"
Orion, who was at the gate, twitched his mouth. "I'm not a fool. The voice just now was yours. It was not from the device."
Orion felt exasperated. Where had this fool come from?
"Sorry!"
John apologized and presented his passport once more.
John's imitation was quite convincing.
"Where's my stun baton?" Orion patted himself down.
