Chapter 34 Black Market Scams Collection

John waited idly for school to end. He had already mastered all the high school knowledge.

When the school bell rang, John was the first to leave the classroom and headed to the regular class's door.

John called out, "Andrew!"

"John!" Andrew ran over, excited. "I saw Ethan's miserable state. You're really efficient."

"Of course. Let's go to your house tonight. I want to discuss some business," John said, rubbing his hands together.

He had unlocked the body potion and needed raw materials to brew it. Unlike the Power Potion, the yield of the body potion was only two to four bottles.

If he went to SourceLife Pharmaceuticals to brew it, his profit would be minimal, and it would be too high-profile.

A high school student being able to brew two types of potions was already quite astonishing.

"Tonight?" Andrew was surprised. "Isn't it a bit too soon to meet my parents?"

John's mouth twitched. "Are you looking for a beating? Speak properly."

"No, I mean, I haven't told my parents yet," Andrew said with an awkward smile. "And we have evening classes tonight."

John directly pulled Andrew towards the school gate. "No problem, I'll have David tutor you tomorrow."

Andrew felt helpless.

Andrew thought, 'Have David tutor me? Don't joke around. I don't want to be the last in the grade!'

The two went to Andrew's family shop, and it turned out to be easier than John had imagined.

Although he didn't have an apothecary license, Andrew's parents agreed to reserve the specified Alternate Dimension materials for him.

However, the amount of Stellar Coins required for the materials would be 10% to 20% higher than the market price.

Both parties agreed to this collaboration. Andrew's family shop was willing to sell the medicinal materials as long as John could pay with Stellar Coins.

Unfortunately, Andrew's family shop didn't sell potions, so they naturally wouldn't buy his potions.

The next day, John didn't go to school as usual but went directly to SourceLife Pharmaceuticals.

He had already fully mastered high school Beast Taming knowledge, so there was no need to review the textbook knowledge.

As a Beast Tamer, studying outside of school was also reasonable.

He quietly arrived at the potion department of the pharmaceutical company, and the others ignored him.

The company didn't promote him ostentatiously. After all, John didn't have an apothecary license. If this was exposed, he could likely be fired. "John, why are you here today?" Assistant Evan asked in surprise.

"Yes, I took some time to come over. Are there any Power Flowers left?" John asked.

Evan said, "There are fourteen now. Do you need them all?"

"Yes, bring them all," John nodded.

Although the company claimed to supply three Power Flowers every day, if he didn't show up, they naturally could only reserve some of them for him. Otherwise, they would run out of Power Potions.

SourceLife Pharmaceuticals sold potions to major shops, so they were naturally in high demand.

A day passed, and John used up all fourteen Power Flowers.

Six of the Power Flowers were used to brew lower-grade Power Potions, yielding seventy-eight bottles of potion.

According to the contract, one Power Flower required the company to give it five bottles of Power Potion, so fourteen flowers meant seventy bottles of Potion.

The remaining eight Power Flowers were all used to brew medium-grade Power Potions, which John stored in his system space.

Evan, the assistant, was already used to John's crazy potion-making speed and stored the seventy bottles of Power Potion.

At dusk, John left the company and headed straight for the Black Market.

He needed to sell the potions and then go to Andrew's family shop to buy herbs to brew new body potions.

Now, his system space had fifty-two bottles of medium-grade Power Potion.

Fourteen of them were fed to the golden Slime, which had developed resistance and could no longer consume medium-grade Power Potions.

John arrived at the Black Market, found an empty spot on the street, and started setting up his potions.

John set up a stall in the Black Market and began shouting, "Everyone, come take a look! Freshly brewed medium-grade Power Potions!"

John said, "These potions are absolutely genuine!"

Despite his loud voice, only a few people came by, and those who did look at John with disdain.

John thought, 'I'm such an honest and kind student, yet I'm being treated like a scammer.'

"Your scamming method is too clumsy," said the owner of the neighboring stall.

"These are real Power Potions," John explained helplessly.

"No one will believe you if you advertise like that," the man continued.

John turned to look at him and suddenly remembered. "You're the guy who sells mud."

The first time John and David came to the Black Market, David spent ten Stellar Coins to buy a lump of mud.

"What do you mean mud? That's the Earth Dragon King Beast Core!" The owner explained seriously, "Want to learn some tricks from me?"

John asked, "Tricks? What kind of tricks?"

The owner explained, "Of course, tricks for setting up a stall in the Black Market. I guarantee you can earn three thousand Stellar Coins a day!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the owner took out an old book, which was titled 'Black Market Scam Techniques Collection'!

John's mouth twitched slightly.

John thought, 'This is too ridiculous. Scamming methods are even published in books, and it's a collector's edition.'

John said, "Mine are genuine products, unlike you scammers."

"Not bad, not bad," the owner nodded. "Although your scamming skills are poor, your acting is pretty good."

John was speechless.

Suddenly, he thought of something and said, "May I ask your name?"

He replied, "Everyone calls me Jacob."

"Alright, Jacob, I need a favor," John said.

"Let's hear it," the stall owner said, feeling helpless.

"Alright, Jacob," John nodded and then whispered, "Can you help me find some people to pretend to buy my potions?"

"Will that work?" Jacob asked, rubbing his hands together. "Calling people is no problem, but you know everything requires Stellar Coins."

"One hundred Stellar Coins per person," John said generously. "Just bring the people, and after this is done, I'll give you a thousand Stellar Coins."

"Do you have that many Stellar Coins?" Jacob asked skeptically.

"Here's a five hundred Stellar Coin deposit. I'll pay you the remaining five hundred after it's done!" John took out five hundred Stellar Coins.

"Make sure to find enough people."

Jacob's eyes lit up, and he happily pocketed the five hundred Stellar Coins.

Ten minutes later, Jacob indeed brought a group of people to John's stall.

Most of them were stall owners, ordinary people selling fake goods.

Although the Black Market only allowed Beast Tamers of level five and above, it wasn't too difficult for ordinary people to sneak in.

"John, these people are the elite of the Black Market! How about it?" Jacob said.

John looked at the group in front of him and nodded.

The crowd immediately surrounded his stall. They didn't need any training from John. They naturally knew what to do.

"Medium-grade Power Potion, I want a bottle!"

"Give me a bottle! I came all the way from downtown!"

"Sir, I want five bottles of potion!"

Everyone's acting was just right, absolutely perfect, with no flaws to be found. They truly were the elites of the Black Market.

John thought, 'The only problem is you guys could at least pretend to pay Stellar Coins!'

"You need to pretend to pay Stellar Coins, or you'll be found out," John said, rubbing his forehead, feeling a headache.

The issue was that they needed to pay Stellar Coins. But they didn't have any.

If they had Stellar Coins, they wouldn't be helping John with this scam.
