Chapter 85 Wake Up, Our Mission Was to Build Our Country

"My Frost Dragon has recently fallen into a weakened state, and has only 80% of its usual strength."

Mia described its condition. "Additionally, it can't swallow or absorb food and potions."

Donald took out a bunch of instruments and continuously monitored the Frost Dragon's body metrics. This was true professionalism!

"My preliminary judgment is that it ingested something from an Alternate Dimension."

Donald frowned slightly, temporarily reaching a conclusion, and then handed over a form, saying, "Go to the hematology department to check the blood composition!"

Mia nodded, took the form, and recalled the Frost Dragon.

The three of them left the consultation room, and John boasted, "I was quick in getting us in line, right?"

Mia said, "You sure were quick! Don't hang out with us tomorrow. I'm afraid a crowd will surround you and beat you up."

John touched his chin and said, "I don't think that will happen."

But he had a bad feeling and decided to stay in the hotel the next day.

The three of them arrived at the hematology department and were waiting in line when a girl suddenly walked toward them. Mia immediately recognized her and called out, "Evelyn!"

Evelyn looked over sharply.

"It's you!"

John and David said in unison. They hadn't expected to run into Evelyn at the hospital.

"Mia, it's you guys."

Evelyn was equally surprised and quickly remembered them.

Mia asked, "Do you know each other?"

Mia raised an eyebrow and looked at the three of them.

John grinned. "Of course we know her. She's Evelyn."

Evelyn's smile froze, and she said, "I'm Evelyn."

"We came by train with her," David said, looking at Mia and Evelyn. "How do you two know each other?"

Mia replied,  "We used to play together when we were kids, but then Evelyn moved away."

John's eyes widened. "Mia, didn't you play with us?"

Mia pouted. "You two were playing childish games back then. I was very annoyed with you and didn't want to play with you."

Evelyn covered her mouth and laughed. She hadn't expected such a coincidence.

Mia asked, "By the way, Evelyn, why are you at Miracle Realm Hospital? Is there a problem with your contract spirit?"

Evelyn sighed. "I borrowed money from a loan shark. To repay it, I participated in the underground spirit fighting arena in the City of Wisdom. Although I won a large prize, my contract spirit was severely injured."

John and David exchanged a glance. They hadn't thought she would want to repayd the loan; they thought she had run away.

"It's okay, Miracle Realm Hospital can heal it. It won't affect your studies," Mia comforted her. "You must be a senior in high school now, right?"

Evelyn nodded. "Yes, I'll be a senior after the summer break."

"Keep it up. Try to get into a good college, and you'll be less stressed."

Mia's tone was gentle, completely different from usual. "If you need anything, you can always reach out to me. You have my number."

Evelyn said, "I'm fine for now. I have Stellar Coin, and the City of Wisdom High School gave me a lot of transfer fees."

The silent John suddenly spoke up. "City of Wisdom High School? Transfer fees?"

Evelyn explained, "Yes, I was originally at Realm High School, but City of Wisdom High School paid Stellar Coin to transfer me to their special training class."

"Wait! I'm a bit confused."

John's mouth twitched. "So, the school leaders at City of Wisdom High School gave you Stellar Coins to have you join their special training class?"

"Yes," Evelyn nodded.

John thought, 'The school leaders must be out of their minds. Why are they spending Stellar Coins to bring in people to use the school's resources? All the students in our school worked hard to pass the special training classes.'

Evelyn said, "I heard they recruited other students, too."

John frowned. "Just how talented are you guys that they would give you Stellar Coin?"

Evelyn replied, "Maybe because my Beast Taming talent is excellent, and my contract spirit is A-level."

"That makes sense!" John felt like he had humiliated himself.

John thought, 'Beast Taming talent is categorized into ordinary, excellent, outstanding, and extraordinary! The higher the talent, the more efficient the cultivation of Beast-Taming power. Evelyn is sure to become a Level Nine Beast Tamer before the exam, similar to Ava, they're both students who might get into the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic. It seems that the City of Wisdom High School is already disappointed with the last senior class. If they fail this exam again, I fear they may never recover.'

Evelyn waved the blood test form in her hand. "Mia, I'm going to see Donald."

"Okay, talk to you later!"

Mia watched Evelyn's departing figure, then turned and said, "Evelyn will be at your school from now on. Take good care of her."

"Her parents were level eight Beast Tamers and died in an Alternate Dimension when she was in middle school. She's been supporting herself and her sister with part-time jobs all these years."

David nodded. "Don't worry, Mia! With John around, there won't be any problems!"

John's mouth twitched. "There's no need. She's very talented. She doesn't need my help."

John thought, 'One is the bottom student from the special training class, and the other is an excellent transfer student; they simply can't be compared.'

Mia pouted. "I always felt something was off about you. You went from an ordinary person to a level six Beast Tamer in a month. Even the Quantum Academy of Techno-Magic doesn't have someone like that."

John nodded reluctantly. "Okay, I'll try to help her more!"

Soon, the Frost Dragon had its blood drawn, and the blood analysis results were obtained.

Donald concluded that the Frost Dragon had ingested some unknown spiritual fruit in the Alternate Dimension. It just needed time to digest it, and not only would it be fine, but its strength would also increase.

Mia breathed a sigh of relief, "I have nothing urgent going on at school. Tomorrow, I'll take you guys to explore Skylight City."

"The day after tomorrow would be better."

John said that he needed to stay in the hotel for a day.

Mia smiled. "I thought you were brave."

With that, Mia called Evelyn and found out she had to stay at the hospital to take care of her contract spirit and couldn't leave for now. "Let's go have lunch!"

"You guys go ahead. I'm heading back to the hotel!"

John looked around, grabbed his packed lunch, and left.

He had diagnosed dozens of patients in the morning, including some silver-level experts, and he was quite scared!

Some things were like that; the more you thought about them, the more afraid you became!

The next morning.

Mia drove to the hotel entrance.

John and David packed their luggage and left the hotel.

Mia smiled. "John, you're still alive."

John sniffed and said, "I'm temporarily safe. I just sneezed all day yesterday."

He guessed he was being cursed all day yesterday.

Mia said, "Let's go. I'll take you to Thunderclap Mountain in Skylight City!"

The three of them set off immediately.

Thunderclap Mountain was a famous tourist attraction located around Skylight City, and most out-of-town visitors came to see it.-

John glanced at David's phone screen and said, "David, are you watching a live stream?"

David was engrossed, almost mesmerized.

John leaned over and saw a sweet-looking girl live-streaming her cooking.

He sighed and patted David on the shoulder.

"Watching her a hundred times won't make her yours, but reading a book a hundred times will make the knowledge yours. Our task is to build our country!"
