Chapter 30 Do You Think You're Funny

Andrew was stunned. Andrew thought, 'Is this what you call a good buddy?'

"John, how many Stellar Coins do you want?" Andrew asked.

Although he had a weak personality and was often bullied at school, his family was quite well-off.

Though not Beast Tamers, his parents owned an herbal store that specialized in selling various precious herbs, including materials from Alternate Dimensions.

"Talking about Stellar Coins is inappropriate. I'm not that kind of person," John said with a sly smile in his eyes. "I want to discuss a business deal with your family."

Andrew was slightly taken aback. "John, what kind of business do you have with my family?"

"Don't worry about it. Just introduce me when the time comes," John replied.

He was currently a pharmacist at SourceLife Pharmaceuticals and had extra Power Potions every day.

But his Slime could no longer absorb them, so he had to sell the excess potions to exchange for other materials, which required a reliable shop to collaborate with.

The main issue was that he didn't have a pharmacist's certificate and couldn't purchase materials from Alternate Dimensions.

Andrew's herbal store naturally became his first choice.

"Alright, but whether the deal goes through is not my concern," Andrew nodded. "Also, don't tell my parents about me being bullied."

"You're too soft. When something happens, tell the teachers and your parents. They can help solve it," John patted Andrew's shoulder and turned to leave.

John happened to want to get back at Ethan, and now it seemed he needed to plan carefully.

John went to the playground, hoping to see if he could trigger any system options.

Wandering, he suddenly heard sounds from the auditorium.

"Right, today is the day for exam results," he realized.

As usual, the graduating seniors would return to their alma mater one last time.

John headed towards the auditorium.

All the graduating seniors were gathered in the auditorium, where the principal of South River High School gave a speech.

Although he was very dissatisfied with this year's results, the principal still said, "I hope you all have a bright future, and don't forget you are students of this school."

John muttered, "Oliver and Ethan are both here."

John's eyes narrowed, instantly spotting Oliver and Ethan at the back of the auditorium. They seemed to be plotting something.

John whispered, "So sneaky, they're definitely up to no good."

John quietly took a seat in the row behind them, pretending to tie his shoelaces while eavesdropping on their conversation.

Ethan said, "Oliver, you scored 590 on the exam this time. You can definitely get into a top Beast Taming university."

Oliver said, "Too bad I didn't do well on the academic subjects. Otherwise, I could have aimed for a prestigious university."

The caliber of universities in Auroria was classified into prestigious universities, key universities, and ordinary universities - of course, this was for those who aspired to become Beast Tamers.

Compared to traditional academia, there were significantly more Beast Tamer universities, both in quantity and quality.

This suggested that Beast Tamers were the main talent of the new era.

"It's already pretty good. At least you can choose a good major, and the family will definitely support you," Ethan said.

Oliver nodded slightly, feeling a bit regretful but still satisfied with his results.

"By the way, John hasn't been bothering you, has he?" Oliver suddenly remembered something.

"No, I've been hanging out with a group of people lately. Even if he wanted to, he couldn't do anything," Ethan said, hating John deeply. Thinking about the time John put a bag over his head, and later caused him to lose 40,000 Stellar Coins in the Black Market, made him even angrier.

"Oliver, you're a Level 6 Beast Tamer. When are you going to teach John a lesson?" Ethan asked.

"John isn't that simple. He seriously injured Frank," Oliver said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"Isn't Frank a Level 4 Beast Tamer?" Ethan exclaimed.

Although Frank's contract spirit also had an F-level potential rating, a Level 4 contract spirit should easily handle an ordinary person.

"John isn't a Level 1 Beast Tamer; he's at least a Level 3 Beast Tamer. He's been hiding his strength all along," Oliver explained.

Ethan said, "He's really cunning."

Ethan thought to himself, 'If John could defeat Frank, he could probably defeat me too.'

As the monitor of Beast Tamer Class Three, he couldn't even beat the last place in Beast Taming Class 5.

Oliver said, "If we're going to teach him a lesson, we have to go all out."

Oliver's expression turned vicious. Although he was just a recent graduate, he had a narrow mind and couldn't tolerate being provoked.

Overhearing their conversation, John muttered, "Oliver is quite ruthless."

Ethan said, "Oliver, I'm going to the bathroom."

Suddenly, Ethan got up and headed toward the restroom.

What a great opportunity.

John quietly got up and followed Ethan.

His backpack zipper wasn't fully closed, revealing a blue bag inside.

Oliver remained in his seat, watching John's retreating figure. It seemed somewhat familiar, but he couldn't quite place who it was at the moment.

Ethan arrived at the restroom, humming a tune and shaking his head.

Just as he was comfortably using the restroom, he caught a glimpse of a figure out of the corner of his eye.

His body trembled, and he accidentally peed on his hand.

But he didn't have time to worry about that; the nightmare in his heart was instantly triggered.

A bag once again covered his head, followed by a brutal beating.

Ethan shouted, "Damn you, John!"

Ethan frantically struggled, trying to escape the bag, but it was futile.

John was much stronger than him, completely overpowering him.

He planned to drag Ethan into a restroom stall for a thorough beating.

At that moment, a skeleton suddenly appeared, holding a sharp bone knife with two eerie green flames in its eyes.

Although Ethan was subdued, he could still summon his contract spirit.

"Cut him down!" Ethan commanded the skeleton soldier.

At that moment, Ethan, whose vision was dark, felt the ground shake, and then the skeleton soldier went silent.

A golden Slime, having morphed into a towering figure of 10 feet, settled onto the delicate skeleton soldier, utterly squashing it.

The sound of bones breaking came from beneath, and the Slime looked bewildered, even exhausted.

Ethan said, "My contract spirit is injured."

Ethan was shocked. That was too fast; it was a one-hit kill.

He didn't have time to worry about the skeleton soldier as he was dragged into a restroom stall.

Ethan shouted, "Help! Help!"

"Even if you scream for help, no one will come to save you."

John had a wicked smile on his face, looking every bit the villain.

Ethan was terrified.

John's punch instantly silenced him.

John asked, "Do you think you're funny?"
