Chapter 106 What's With This Look?
John was caught off guard by a wild idea.
He thought about getting Uriah to help Karl out, but the cafeteria rules said no summoning contract spirits.
He sighed, realizing he'd have to deal with Karl himself.
John smirked, "Not sure if I'll be strong later, but you're about to lose your edge!"
Karl squinted, looking calm, "You wanna fight?"
Xavier and three others surrounded them, and four more guys from the special training class joined in.
"You think you can gang up on me?" John grinned, surprised Karl came prepared.
Karl smiled, "Heard you're quite the fighter!"
Just as things were about to kick off, John struck first!
He grinned and charged at Karl.
Karl instinctively blocked, and John was almost immediately sent flying, landing on the ground.
"Did my body get stronger?" Karl wondered, surprised he hadn't used any force.
John clutched his chest, shouting dramatically, "Karl! How dare you insult regular students!"
Karl was confused. He hadn't insulted anyone today.
Though he often looked down on regular students, he hadn't said anything today.
The regular students in the cafeteria were stunned, all eyes on Karl.
Karl's heart sank, realizing John's plan. 'You're really low!'
Karl wanted to explain, but his voice was drowned out by John's.
John said, "You call regular students trash? I'll fight you!"
John got up and charged at Karl again, only to be flying several meters away.
"Still talking! I can't take it anymore! I'll defend the honor of the regular class!" John kept shouting, getting thrown again and again, looking pitiful.
Karl and the others were dumbfounded by John's act.
'You're overdoing it, aren't you?' Karl thought.
In no time, the regular students surrounded Karl.
Seeing the crowd, the special training class boys were shocked.
Just a few words had riled up so many people.
Sensing trouble, Eileen from the special training class quickly reacted,
He shouted at Karl, "Who do you think you are? Looking down on regular students? I'm gonna beat you up!"
He punched Karl!
John hadn't expected such a quick betrayal.
Once someone started, the rest followed. Herd mentality kicked in.
Xavier was scared, not expecting things to escalate, "Oh right, I forgot to get my food."
He gracefully turned and left the crowd.
In the end, only Vaughn and Brady stayed loyal, getting beaten up with Karl.
They cried out, "Stop hitting us! Please stop!"
John left the cafeteria calmly with Joshua and the others.
Uriah sighed, "John, you're really awesome!"
John smirked, "You think it's because of me?"
Uriah asked, "Isn't it?"
John answered, "The real reason is Karl often mocks regular students. They usually don't fight back, but given a chance, they'll go crazy for revenge."
Regular students weren't dumb. Many saw through John's act, given how ridiculous it was.
After all, it was John. He wouldn't risk his own interests for the group's honor.
But real or not, no one cared as long as they could beat up Karl.
Joshua nodded, "That's what happens when you do bad stuff. Karma catches up eventually."
The three of them went back to their dorm and took a nap.
The cafeteria chaos lasted a full half hour. Even John didn't expect it to get that wild.
Everyone got excited when they heard Karl was getting beaten up.
It showed just how much people disliked Karl!
In the afternoon, John and the others went to Beast Manor for class.
Zane looked around, puzzled, noticing three people missing again.
He pulled out the attendance list, ready to call names, when the doors of Beast Manor swung open.
The class turned and burst into laughter.
Karl was in a wheelchair, his right leg bandaged, eyes full of rage. Next to him, Brady had his left hand bandaged, pushing the wheelchair with his right hand.
Vaughn was the opposite, pushing with his left hand.
They looked like a bunch of cripples entering Beast Manor.
John couldn't help but smirk, "What's with this look? Quite unique, huh."
The whole class laughed.
Karl's mouth twitched, seething, "You're dead, John! I won't let you off!"
Zane was puzzled. They were fine in the morning, how did they end up like this by afternoon?
"Alright! Alright! Let's start the match!" Zane shook his head, not paying much attention.
Though Karl's injuries were bad, the medical tech was advanced. He'd be fine in two or three days. But today, he was stuck in a wheelchair.
"First match, John versus Xavier!"
The first match was crucial! The competition was down to the final six, including Ava, Evelyn, Xavier, Karl, Joshua, and John.
Everyone was eager to see the clash between the F-level Slime and the A-level Sub-Dragon!
Xavier said coldly, "Looks like your luck's run out!"
John sighed, "You'd better stay out of this. There's a trap you can't see."
"Stop talking nonsense!" Xavier summoned his contract spirit, an A-level Earth Sub-Dragon!
A dragon covered in gray scales appeared on the stage; its aura and appearance were overwhelmingly majestic.
Its presence swept across the entire venue!
Xavier sneered, "Show me the legendary Slime."
"Do you really want to see it?" John raised eyebrows, a mysterious smile on his lips.
Xavier said, "Thinking of surrendering?"
He turned his back to the stage, looking at the class, feeling very smug.
"Thinking a Slime can compete with my Sub-Dragon is a joke. A Sub-Dragon with dragon blood is truly invincible at the same level!"
Xavier got more excited, spreading his arms, "I'm not targeting anyone here!"
At that moment, the ground began to tremble.
The whole class was shocked, eyes wide with disbelief.
Even Zane's eyes narrowed, muttering, "What a shock! The Slime has actually mastered the gigantification divine skill!"
