Chapter 7 The Fierce Fiona
John asked, "Liam, what's going on?"
Liam appeared with a bruised and swollen face, clearly having been bullied by others.
John shouted, "Damn it, someone dared to bully my classmate!"
John looked righteous and instantly summoned a golden Slime.
The golden Slime made cute noises.
It was already a level one contract spirit, standing at 8 inches tall.
It looked like a lump of poop with no combat power.
And indeed, it had none.
"John, Auroria's Beast Taming laws prohibit summoning contract spirits at will. Go back to class first." Liam was shocked and quickly spoke to stop him.
John said, "I can't accept someone bullying my classmate. It's too much!"
John was indignant but put away the contract spirit.
At this moment, a student from Beast Tamer Class Three suddenly appeared nearby.
He was wearing a white T-shirt and had striking green hair.
Ethan said, "It was me, Ethan Sinclair, who hit him. Do you have a problem with that? If you lose, you have to accept the punishment. That's the rule of the Beast Tamer Class."
Ethan sneered and looked at Liam.
Ethan said, "Your low-grade Beast Taming Orb for this month is mine. Remember to bring it over. Liam, it's not just you. I'm saying everyone in Beast Taming Class 5 is pathetic!"
Liam clenched his fists. His eyes filled with unwillingness.
'How can he be so arrogant?' John couldn't help but think, ready to step forward.
"This is Beast Tamer Class Three's territory. Let's go back." Liam pulled John back to the classroom.
John glared at Ethan but ultimately held back.
"Why did you get into a fight with him?" John asked.
From what he knew of Liam, he didn't seem like someone who would cause trouble.
Liam replied, "I've always had conflicts with him. We hold a Beast Tamer competition every month, and if I lose, I must give him the Beast Taming Orb distributed by the school."
John said, "Beast Taming Orb? I've never heard of it."
Liam explained, "The top three in each monthly exam get a Beast Taming Orb."
John said, "No wonder I didn't know."
The two supported each other back to the classroom.
Several boys gathered around, concerned, and asked, "Liam, are you okay?"
Clearly, everyone was aware of Liam's monthly competitions.
A cold voice rang out, and a girl spoke disdainfully, "Useless! You've lost three months in a row."
She was wearing a white dress, with fair skin and a petite figure.
As soon as she finished speaking, the girl walked out of the classroom.
"Who is this person?" John asked, a look of confusion on his face.
"Our class representative, Fiona McKenzie," Liam whispered, already used to her tone.
As the class president, losing three competitions in a row had made Beast Taming Class 5 the subject of discussion among other classes.
As they were talking, a student suddenly shouted, "Big news! Fiona is going to challenge everyone in Beast Tamer Class Three after school today!"
John asked, "What's going on?! Is the class representative that strong?"
"Beast Tamer Class Three has twenty-four people, and the weakest is a level three Beast Tamer." Liam was stunned and sighed. "Ms. Rosewood is helping me. It's my fault for not being able to beat Ethan."
John asked, "Can she win?"
John looked at Fiona's empty seat, surprised that this girl was so strong and was going to challenge an entire class.
Liam explained, "Fiona used to be in Beast Taming Class 1, but due to special reasons, she was moved to Beast Taming Class 5. She definitely has strength, but Beast Tamer Class Three is not weak either."
John was excited, feeling a rush of adrenaline.
John said, "Let's all go cheer for Fiona this afternoon. If she really can't win, we'll help her out."
Liam nodded. "Okay."
Beast Taming Class 5 instantly united, all expressing their intention to watch the battle.
The fight between the two classes alarmed the entire grade, and even the teachers knew about it, but no one stopped it.
If it were regular students fighting, it would definitely be stopped.
But the Beast Tamer Class was different.
At this moment, the class bell rang.
Fiona, wearing a white dress, returned to the classroom.
Harper also walked in, looked at the students and handed out test papers.
"The top three in the last test were Fiona, Liam, and Jasmine." After speaking, Harper took out three white orbs filled with spiritual energy.
These were the low-grade Beast Taming Orbs issued by the school.
Unlike other options, these orbs could directly enhance one's Beast-Taming power and were very useful.
But they were also extremely expensive, each worth tens of thousands of dollars, and not available for purchase.
Only the school could provide them.
For students with excellent grades, the annual tuition of tens of thousands of dollars was definitely worth it.
"Fiona, be careful this afternoon," Harper specifically reminded her that he was clearly aware of the challenge.
"Harper, it's fine. The classmates will all be there to watch," John said confidently.
"That's good. John, you don't need to go. Stay and study your academic subjects to avoid any danger."
John felt puzzled.
The day quickly passed.
John initially wanted to study, as the exams also included academic subjects.
But he had no foundation, and as soon as he looked at the books, he felt sleepy.
A few minutes later, he unknowingly fell asleep.
A crisp bell rang, and John immediately woke up.
"School's out."
The atmosphere in the class instantly changed.
Fiona, carrying a blue backpack, was the first to step out of the classroom.
The other students followed, heading to the school's Beast Taming arena, which had a dedicated competition area.
Besides the two classes involved, students from the other three classes also came to watch.
The arena quickly filled with nearly a hundred people, becoming quite crowded.
In the center was a large platform, the place for contract spirit battles.
Ethan said, "Fiona, I admit you're strong, but I didn't expect you to be so foolish as to challenge our entire class. Have you prepared your three Beast Taming Orbs?"
Ethan crossed his arms, looking mocked.
Three Beast Taming Orbs were worth thirty thousand dollars, a real gamble. Even students in Beast Taming Class 1 wouldn't be so extravagant.
Fiona said, "Cut the crap!"
Fiona looked disdainful and instantly summoned her contract spirit.
Suddenly, a blue ice wolf appeared. It was 6.6 feet long, its body emitting frost. Its sudden appearance immediately stunned everyone.
"A level five Beast Tamer!"
The crowd was shocked.
A Level 5 Beast Tamer could already be considered a top student in Beast Taming Class 1, capable of ranking in the top ten.
Ethan said, "No wonder you're so confident."
Ethan looked embarrassed. As the class president, he was only a level four Beast Tamer.
Ethan said, "Don't be afraid. We have over twenty people. Even if we take turns fighting her, we can win."
As soon as he finished speaking, Ethan summoned his contract spirit.
A skeleton holding a bone knife appeared, with green flames in its eye sockets, looking extremely terrifying.
The types of contract spirits varied and were not limited to beasts.
Ethan's skeleton was an undead type, while John's Slime was a special type.
