Chapter 62 If You Didn't Know Uriah, You Weren't a True Hero

The next morning, just as the sun was rising,David knocked on John's door, shouting,"John, time to get up!"

John rubbed his eyes, looking like he had just woken up.

John asked, "Why are you here so early?"

John thought, 'No one gets up this early during a holiday.'

John reluctantly got out of bed, tidied up, and went to the living room, where he saw David having breakfast with John's parents.

John yawned and said, "You didn't stay up late last night? Why did you comehere so early?"

David explained, "You're so silly. If I came any later, your breakfast would be cold."

John shook his head, realizing that David had gotten up early just to mooch a meal.

"What do you want from me?"

John picked up a piece of bread and started eating it with milk.

David said, "I'm taking you to meet some influential people. Did you forget what I told you last night?"

Sebastian looked over and asked, "David, what influential people?"

David replied, "Someone who sells beef."

John shook his head, thinking David must be out of his mind.

After breakfast, David insisted on taking John to see this person and dragged him along.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Rainflower Street.

John said, "David, you must have been scammed. A beef seller can't possibly investigate fake drug dealers."

"I never lie to you," David said indignantly.

Just then, an unidentified object suddenly flew toward them.

"Who's there? It's a sneak attack."

John reacted quickly, grabbing it with his right hand.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a cow hoof with a few shiny cow hairs on it.

"I didn't think Uriah Sinclair's name was so famous that even you two have heard of it."

A shirtless man wearing a brown apron sighed.

His eyes were melancholic. He was holding a butcher knife, and his thick beard looked very mysterious.

"Uriah, it's me, David."

David ran over excitedly when he saw Uriah.

John looked up and saw the beef stall in front of Uriah.

Uriah glanced at David and then said, "You're the one who asked me to investigate your background last time, right?"

John's body shook, and he looked at David with a strange expression.

John thought, 'David's investigating his lineage? Hemust truly suspect that he's not their biological child.'

David said,  "Uriah, yes, it's me. I didn't expect you to remember me."

Uriah said, "Of course."

David felt something was off but didn't pay much attention.

David said, "Uriah, my friend wants your help."

Uriah looked at John and asked, "Do you also suspect you're not your parents' biological child?"

John quickly shook his head and said, "I want to find someone!"

Uriah asked, "Who?"

John replied, "A fake drug dealer from the Black Market!"

Uriah asked, "Do you have any other information, like appearance or height?"

John felt confused.

Uriah asked seriously, "Is there a problem?"

John shook his head, thinking that Uriah was unreliable, but since he was David's acquaintance, he had to give it a try.

John asked, "Can you help me find this person?"

John took out a photo of Jacob, now almost certain that Jacob was scamming people with the fake drug dealer.

Uriah said, "A photo is enough. Do you need any other information?"

John added. "This person used to be a scammer in the Black Market, selling mud. Now he's selling fake drugs.

"He's scamming people with mud and getting Stellar Coins."

Uriah was a bit shocked.

He said indignantly, "There are really too many fools in the world now."

John said, "There's nothing we can do. Many people have been scammed by him."

David felt a bit angry but didn't know how to refute it.

"This is serious. Let's discuss this first!"

David couldn't hold back anymore and interrupted their conversation."Right, let's discuss the serious matter first!"

Uriah nodded and said generously, "Since we have all the other information, it should be easy. Come back in three days."

"Thank you, Uriah!"

John put down the cow hoof in his hand and sniffed it. "This cow hoof is quite fresh."

As he was about to leave, David pulled him back and whispered, "John, you haven't paid yet."

"What? I need to payStellar Coin? I didn't buy the cow hoof." John was stunned.

David said, "The Stellar Coin for the help."

John's eyeswidened. He spread his hands and said, "He's charging for help?"

Uriah said, "Fifty thousand Stellar Coins! Not a single coin less!"

Uriah frowned slightly. 'John really doesn't understand the rules. He doesn't know that he needs to pay Stellar Coins for me to help him.'

"Forget it then," John said helplessly, "I couldn't even sell Jacob for fifty thousand Stellar Coins."

As he was about to turn around, a long-lost option suddenly appeared before his eyes.

[Option 1: Accept Uriah's help, reward: large amount of Beast-Taming power]

[Option 2: Find someone else to help, reward: High-grade Power Potion]

[Option 3: Solve it alone, reward: Mid-grade Beast Taming Orb]

John was stunned, then quickly turned back and decisively said, "No problem! Deal!"

Both of them were stunned by John's sudden change in attitude.

For John, skills and talents were the most important, followed by Beast-Taming power. Everything else seemed less important.

John said, "In three days, I'll give you the Stellar Coins, and you'll help me investigate this thoroughly!"

Uriah nodded, then suddenly remembered something and asked, "By the way, are you the Beast Tamer from South River High School?"

John asked, "What's up? Does your son study there, too?"

Uriah's mouth twitched. "I'm not that old. I don't have a son yet."

He stroked his beard as he spoke.

John and David, however, thought he looked quite old.

"Uriah, I'd like to purchase 4.4 pounds of steak!"

A middle-aged man rode by on a bicycle and looked at the beef stall.

Uriah glanced at the man buying beef and felt helpless.

Uriah sighed silently when he saw the man's bald head. .

"Sir, could you please not call me that? I'm not that old!"

As more customers came to the beef stall, John and David left Rainflower Street.
