Chapter 20 I Didn't Like Your Attitude

"Do you want to become a pharmacist?"

A cold voice rang out, and a woman with long hair and a stern face walked out.

She was tall and naturally exuded an air of arrogance.

Mason didn't even dare to look at her directly. He just whispered something and then left the floor.

"Yes, I want to give it a try," John said, sizing her up.

"This is not a place for kids to play around. Go home."

The woman turned and left, never once looking directly at John.

She muttered under her breath, "Ava, what the hell? Why did you introduce such a nonsensical person to the company. He's clearly just here to cause trouble."

"Excuse me, my interview hasn't even started yet?" John shouted.

"Your interview is already over!" The woman's cold voice came from the lab as she returned inside.

Options appeared before John's eyes again.

[Option 1: Stay silent and go home dejectedly. Reward: Title 'Failed Before Starting', Effect: Unlucky Aura +1]

[Option 2: Kick the woman in the butt while she's not looking, angering her. Reward: Moderate Beast-Taming Power]

[Option 3: Sneak into the lab and look for an opportunity. Reward: 'Charge' Skill +1]

John looked at the woman's departing figure. Although he really wanted to choose the second option, reason held him back.

If he kicked her, he definitely wouldn't get the job and would be resented.

John muttered, "Let's sneak in and take a look first."

Seeing that the woman had gone far, John swaggered to the lab door.

John said, "Didn't expect there to be clothes here."

John calmly picked up the clothes at the door, put them on, and then put on a mask before entering the lab.

His composed demeanor allowed him to blend in instantly.

John walked into a small lab where three people were focused on making potions.

The three had clear roles, and they were making Flame Potions.

"Are you all busy?" John greeted them with his hands behind his back.

The three looked up, not knowing who he was, but they still smiled and nodded.

John said, "Being busy is good. The company can't do without you, key people."

John left the lab with his hands behind his back.

"Goodbye, sir," one person hurriedly said, thinking some company executive had come.

John almost tripped, not expecting to be mistaken for a leader.

Confidence filled his eyes as he boldly inspected the place.

John muttered, "I finally found the Power Potion."

John was delighted and entered the lab.

But no one was inside, probably because they had something else to do.

"Let's wait a bit." John felt bored in the lab.

A few minutes later, he saw various herbs on the table, including five of the precious Power Flowers.

John's mind stirred, and he picked up the herbs.

The system's pharmacology showed that the Power Potion could be made. It asked him if he would like to make it?

John was curious and chose to make it.

At that moment, he felt himself enter a strange state as if the system had controlled his body.

His hands were steady, like a machine, picking up various refined herbs and placing them into the container in a specific ratio.

Soon, the white potion in the container emitted a slightly sweet fragrance, exactly like the Power Potion sold on the market.

"Low-grade Power Potion successfully made. Unlock mid-grade Power Potion after making it ten times! 1/10"

John was slightly stunned, not expecting the system to be so user-friendly.

Mid-grade Power Potions were suitable for level four to six contract spirits. The herbs used were the same, but the main ingredient required two Power Flowers, making the process much harder, and the selling price naturally doubled.

John said, "I wonder how many bottles of potion I made."

John poured the potion into standard bottles.

In a short while, thirteen bottles of Power Potion were neatly arranged on the table. This amounted to a staggering total of over 60,000 Stellar Coins.

And his cost was less than twenty thousand Stellar Coins. This was truly a profitable industry.

Of course, the profit wasn't from the Power Potion but from his system.

Depending on the pharmacist's skill, they could make five to ten bottles of Power Potion.

An average pharmacist could only make five bottles, with a chance of failure.

Since John used the system, he naturally made the highest level of ten bottles of Power Potion.

Furthermore, with his mastery-level proficiency, he could reduce the materials needed by 30%, effectively increasing his yield by an extra 30%. This is how he ended up with thirteen bottles of potion.

"Making thirteen bottles at once is really impressive," John thought.

Just then, footsteps approached.

Quickly, John stored seven bottles of potion in the system space.

The lab door opened, and two people in lab coats walked in.

"Who are you?" Aisha Rivers frowned, her eyes unfriendly.

John thought, 'Damn! It's her!'

John's heart sank, not expecting it to be the woman who had been so cold to him.

John said, "The lab layout is pretty good."

John walked towards the door with his hands behind his back, nodding as if nothing was wrong.

"It's you!" Aisha instantly recognized him. "That student!!"

John shouted, "Wow, you can actually recognize me."

John didn't expect her to react so quickly and had to take off his mask.

"You dare to enter the lab without permission." Aisha's eyes were filled with anger at his audacity.

"Lady, I really came for an interview. Why make it hard for me?" John said.

The two stared at each other, neither backing down.

"These potions."

Aisha's companion suddenly looked at the lab table and saw six bottles of Power Potion.

He walked up and sniffed the Power Potion slightly.

"This is a real Power Potion!" The pharmacist exclaimed, clearly in disbelief.

Aisha also reacted, looking at John incredulously and asking, "Did you make these?"

"I told you. I can really make Power Potions," John said helplessly.

A high school student was actually able to brew Power Potion, and not just one, but six bottles. This meant his skill level was higher than most potion makers, which was incredibly shocking.

This astounding revelation left them in prolonged silence.

There really were such amazing people out there. Some people's existence truly made others feel insignificant.

After a long while, Aisha cleared her throat, then ventured to ask, "Do you often encounter failures when brewing potions?"

"Hardly ever," John responded confidently.

"I hope you can become a department pharmacist here at the company!" Aisha said solemnly, feeling a bit regretful.

John said, "You know, I didn't like your attitude towards me earlier."

John raised an eyebrow, shook his head, and looked at Aisha with a teasing expression.
