Chapter 43 John's Preparation and New Challenges

He didn't even hesitate to make a decision.

John decisively spoke up, "Mr. Kane, can you take me with you?"

Michael was taken aback, looking at John. Then, with some difficulty, he said, "Entering the Alternate Dimension requires a ticket."

John said, "No problem, I'll buy my ticket. I just want to go and see."

Since he had yet to reach the Iron level, he couldn't enter the Alternate Dimension alone.

Michael pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, come to the company in three days. Ava will be going, too. Just use your contract spirit to protect yourself."

It was clear he knew about John's performance during the exam. The golden Slime's defense surpassing Ava's firebird was evidently helpful.

John said happily, "Thank you, Mr. Kane!"

John was overjoyed. Although he couldn't make Power Flowers anymore, going to the Alternate Dimension would be a great experience.

He used up the last three Power Flowers and then left with thirteen bottles of mid-grade Power Potion.

The Black Market was crowded.

John had become a proud Level 5 Beast Tamer, allowing him to enter and exit the Black Market freely.

He went to his designated spot, laid out a blue cloth, and placed the extra potions from his system backpack.

"John, earning Stellar Coin again?"

"How's business today, Jacob?"

John was at ease, with no intention of hawking. He was already quite famous.

He was a celebrity in the Black Market. Everyone knew him.

Jacob sighed. "Not good. If I don't sell something soon, I won't be able to afford food."

John said, "Perfect, you can directly eat the 'Earth Dragon King Beast Core' from the stall. It's a good use of waste."

Jacob ignored John's comment. Instead, he leaned in closer and whispered, "Honestly, John, where are you getting these potions? Can you hook me up with your supplier?"

"I make them myself," John said earnestly.

"Don't lie to me," Jacob said.

Seeing no response from John, Jacob repeated, "Don't lie."

Feeling helpless, Jacob returned directly to his own stall.

"Sir, I want a bottle of mid-grade Power Potion!"

While they were talking, a line had already formed in front of John's stall.

At eight thousand Stellar Coins per bottle, the mid-grade Power Potion was extremely cheap, even affecting the market.

Although it couldn't be resold due to the lack of a trademark, it was perfect for enhancing one's contract spirit.

John grinned, handed the potion to the customer, and earned eight thousand Stellar Coins.

Another fruitful day.

Suddenly, a young man in line said, "Ma'am, can you please queue up? I was here first."

A woman trying to cut in line got angry and went to the back, muttering, "No respect for elders, so rude."

Austin glanced back, snorted, and asked John, "Sir, how many potions do you have left?"

John replied, "Twelve bottles of mid-grade Power Potion, fifteen bottles of low-grade Power Potion."

John's eyes gleamed. Was he going to sell out so quickly today?

"I only asked for the benefit of the people behind me," Austin coughed. "Give me a bottle of mid-grade Power Potion."

John felt helpless.

"I thought he was something special," Kane mocked.

The small line quickly dispersed. Kane had planned to buy one of each potion, but the college student in front of him bought all the remaining potions.

"Do you really need that many potions?" Kane asked anxiously.

It was her first time hearing about cheap potions in the Black Market, and she wanted to buy some for her grandson. She didn't expect them to be so popular.

"I'm not drinking them. They're for my contract spirit," the college student rolled his eyes and left the Black Market with the potions.

John also packed up, feeling happy and ready to go home.

Just then, his phone beeped.

[The final exam results are out.] John looked at his phone, eyes full of anticipation.

[Name: John]

[Academic Subjects: 396]

[Beast Taming Studies: 215]

[Total Score: 611]

[Class Rank: 2]

[Grade Rank: 20]

John grinned. He was exactly 20th, just as he had expected.

His academic performance, too, was not far from what John had predicted. His general education grades were undoubtedly the best in the class, but his Beast Taming Studies grades were just average.

Although his defense was the best in the grade, and his attack power was equally impressive, his Beast Taming level was only average. The most damaging were his contract spirit potential rating and speed test, which were not high.

Two F grades would definitely pull down his overall score.

This was like in the previous world. Your scores in all subjects were excellent, but if you could score at least fifty or sixty in English, no matter how excellent you were, you could never rank among the top in the grade.

Fortunately, John's academic grades were good.

Suddenly, the new ringtone John had set on his phone started to ring.

The caller IDon it clearly displayed Harper.

John was taken aback for a moment, surprised that it was his homeroom teacher. Without thinking too much, he answered the call.

John said, "Hello, Harper."

"John, you've been accepted into the senior year special training class!" Harper's voice trembled with excitement.

John smirked. "Mr. Adams, calm down! This was expected."

John thought, 'Stay calm, Mr. Adams.'

Harper took a deep breath and said, "John, I really underestimated you. I didn't realize you had so much talent!"

"Of course, I was just hiding my strength before." John's smile froze as he realized something was off.

Harper said, "Don't worry about the details. I'm proud to have a student like you."

"The school's rewards should be generous, right?" John asked.

Harper said, "Of course. Ahem. Anyway,as a teacher, educating students is both my duty and mission."

John felt helpless.

Harper was being a little suspicious and acting weirdly.

After chatting for a while, John ended the call.

John thought Harper was always making a molehill out of nothing and didn't want to waste his precious time on this teacher of his.

John left the Black Market whistling cheerfully.

Although John didn't have high hopes the special training class for the third year of high school, it was still best to get in, as it would be a testament to his abilities.

Upon returning home, John announced the good news right away.

His family was very happy and began to notify all their relatives and friends to share the joy.

After that, John returned to his room to prepare to enter the Alternate Dimension.

John, who had no wilderness survival experience, was seriously preparing all kinds of things that might be useful.

Unfortunately, the system space could not store real items. It could only hold system rewards or potions refined through the system.

Twenty minutes later, his backpack was very full.

John said, "That should be enough."

John clapped his hands, feeling satisfied. John thought, 'I'm such a genius!'

Used to giving up, John felt excited. Although he didn't like to work hard, he loved fighting.

John said, "Conquering the first Alternate Dimension will be the start of my fame!"

But he forgot he was already famous. Although his reputation as a public restroom pharmacist wasn't great, he was still a celebrity.

In fact, because of him, the manufacturer of the same T-shirt John wore that day made a lot of Stellar Coins.
