Chapter 37 When One Became Wealthy, One Didn't Forget Their Friends.

"John!"

At that moment, Harper walked over with a stern expression.

Harper said, "If you can't do it, just stay put and don't flip through the test papers!"

Harper thought, 'Isn't this clearly meant to disrupt the rest of the examinees?'

"My hand cramped earlier, but it's fine now." John laid his head down and went to sleep. After all, he had already secured the reward.

Each subject's exam took half a day. Two days later, the cultural studies exams were over.

Many students gathered together, discussing and exchanging thoughts.

"This exam was really tough, probably to filter out the top students."

"I just hope I can score 320 in the cultural studies."

"Yeah, the special training class for seniors has nothing to do with us, but at least we shouldn't score too poorly."

John stood aside, smiling without saying a word. Generally, top students were like this—silent but shocking everyone when the scores come out.

Harper suddenly walked into the classroom and said, "Alright, everyone, stop discussing! Regardless of the results, it's over now. You should all focus on the upcoming Beast Taming Studies exam."

The total score for cultural studies was 400 points, with most students scoring between 340 and 380, not a huge difference.

The total score for Beast Taming Studies was 350 points. Some students might score less than 100, while others could reach 200 or 300. This was where the real gap appeared.

Harper said, "I hope everyone follows the rules in the final exam and doesn't imitate John!"

Harper glanced at John, feeling a bit apprehensive, fearing John might do something strange again.

After school in the afternoon, David was already waiting outside the classroom.

David looked over and said, "Finally, summer vacation, John. Are you really going to work for two months?"

Regular classes didn't have a Beast Taming Studies exam, so David was completely free now.

John nodded and said, "Of course, I need more Stellar Coins. What are your plans for the summer?"

They left the school together.

David excitedly said, "Of course, I'm going to play games online. I want to reach the highest rank in this game. Oh, by the way, my mom is back. She invited you to dinner at our place tonight."

John readily agreed without even thinking.

David said, "John, I'll be counting on you in the future!"

David suddenly put his arm around John's shoulder and said seriously, "When you succeed, don't forget about me!"

John looked speechless. "Don't worry. I won't."

The two laughed and joked as they returned to the neighborhood.

John's parents had something come up and wouldn't be home for dinner, so they went straight to David's house.

David said, "Mom, I'm home."

They threw their backpacks aside and comfortably lay on the couch.

John didn't hold back at all, acting as if he were at his own home.

"David and John, you're back," a middle-aged woman said, walking out of the kitchen with a kind smile.

It was David's mother, Susan Thompson.

"Mrs. Thompson, hello!" John stood up and greeted them politely.

Meanwhile, David was lying comfortably and asked, "Mom, where's dad? I don't see him around."

Susan said, "Carter is in the study buying something. You can go take a look."

"I'd rather not. I don't understand any of it." David closed his eyes and slumped on the couch.

John, on the other hand, was very curious. David's parents were both Black Iron-level Beast Tamers, so the items they dealt with were likely related to Beast Taming.

Without hesitation, he walked towards the study.

"John, you're here."

A burly man, Carter, was intently looking at the computer screen and gestured for John to sit beside him.

John sat down and was immediately captivated by what was on the screen.

[Stalactite from Cloud Peak (1 gram), selling price: 500,000 Stellar Coins!]

[Level 2 Gigantic Fruit, selling price: 100,000 Stellar Coins!]

[Ice Wolf King's Beast Core, selling price: 1,000,000 Stellar Coins!]

John swallowed hard. John thought, 'These things are so expensive.'

He had mastered high school Beast Taming material knowledge and was familiar with common Beast Taming resources, but he never imagined they would be this pricey.

He thought making some Power Potions would make him rich.

But now it seemed that becoming a high-level Beast Tamer was far from enough.

Carter smiled and explained, "John, these things are used by Iron-level Beast Tamers, so naturally, they're a bit pricey."

Beast Tamers who were below the Black Iron-level were referred to as Apprentice Beast Tamers. They temporarily didn't have the qualifications to understand these items.

"Mr. Smith, what website is this?" John asked curiously.

Beast Tamers needed all the items sold here, including materials from the Alternate Dimension, which were extremely useful to him.

"The Beast Tamer Association website was established by the government so Beast Tamers could communicate, buy, and sell." Carter explained, "When you become an Iron-level Beast Tamer, someone will invite you to join."

John sighed, realizing that apprentice Beast Tamers knew far too little.

No wonder the city's physical stores had few Alternate Dimension materials; they were all for apprentice Beast Tamers.

The rare Alternate Dimension materials were mostly sold on the Beast Tamer Association website, which was unaffordable for anyone other than Beast Tamers.

John watched in awe as Carter spent millions of Stellar Coins on materials, all needed by Iron-level Beast Tamers.

If it were Silver-level or Gold-level, the various herbs would surely be even more expensive.

Carter said, "Let's go, John, time to eat."

Carter stretched and turned off the computer. The items he bought would be delivered in two days.

Smelling the aroma of food from the living room, Carter's appetite was whetted.

The four of them gathered around the dining table, enjoying a harmonious meal.

"John, you have the Beast Taming Studies exam tomorrow, right?" Susan suddenly said, "If you get a chance to join the special training class, don't miss it."

"Mrs. Thompson, do you also know about the special training class?" John asked.

"Of course, Susan was a member of the first special training class at South River High School," Carter said with a smile.

"Students who get into prestigious universities mostly come from the special training class," Susan explained. "The resources provided there will greatly enhance your Beast Taming skills."

The special training class for the third year of high school was not unique to South River High School. Essentially, every Beast Taming school across the country had one, although the resources provided varied.

In John's previous world, the third year of high school was indeed a very important stage during which students could achieve a comprehensive improvement in their grades.

In this world, it was the same.

For the sake of exams, every family would do their utmost, sparing no effort.

Some families would even go into a lot of debt in Stellar Coins, just hoping their child could get into their ideal Beast Taming university.
