Chapter 113 Owen, Come Arrest the Criminals!

"Is it really that amazing?! This stuff is incredible!"

John always thought it was useless, but who knew the system's potion would be so powerful.

Two minutes later, the Slime reappeared.

"I only used a tenth of it, so the potion can make us invisible for twenty minutes in total!" John thought for a moment, then took a sip himself. Sure enough, he vanished too.

Putting away the Slime, John sprinted towards the dark alley.

Time was ticking!

He quickly reached the end of the alley, where there was a three-story house with a yard.

John gently opened the door, about to step into the yard.

A voice suddenly rang out. John froze, fearing he'd be discovered.

"Why didn't you lock the door?" A man's footsteps approached.

John slipped into the yard before the man got too close and saw eight people gathered there.

Adrian took off his pink cotton jacket, complaining, "This jacket is so hot, makes me feel like a lunatic."

Gabriel said, "It's a trap designed to reel in the Spirit Control Bureau members right here."

"Are we really going to kill them?" One person looked anxious and scared.

A man with glasses, Zachary, said, "We have to create chaos in the City of Wisdom to to bewilder our foes and make our escape."

The Spirit Control Bureau was under the impression that Adrian was alone; therefore, they wouldn't deploy a large force to capture him.

If the Spirit Control Bureau fell into their trap, they would suffer heavy casualties!

"So what now? That student who escaped saw us, the Spirit Control Bureau won't give us another chance."

"We still have time, let's plan our escape first!"

John listened, shocked by how ruthless this gang was.

He looked around but didn't see Uriah and the others.

Taking advantage of the invisibility potion, he entered the three-story house and found the unconscious Uriah and Joshua in the innermost room on the first floor.

"This makes things easier." John summoned the golden Slime and gave it all the rest of the invisibility potion.

The invisible Slime silently moved into the yard.

"Roll, Slime!" John didn't use the enlargement skill because a 32 feet Slime could easily collapse the house and possibly harm nearby residents.

Besides, he wanted to torment this gang a bit.

The Slime used its charge skill, heading straight for the group.

Zachary was speaking passionately, "Don't worry, we will succeed."

Just then, Zachary's body twisted as if hit by a truck. He flew out, hit the wall hard, and lay limp on the ground, occasionally twitching.

Everyone was shocked, not knowing what was happening.

Someone said, "Zachary, stop acting! Get up and continue the discussion!"

"He's not acting. He's dead!" Another guy quickly realized, looking around warily.

With a second loud noise, another person flew out, vomiting blood in mid-air, looking extremely pained.

"There's an enemy!" Finally, everyone reacted, summoning their contract spirits.

This gang was at least level eight Beast Tamers, not only powerful but also highly coordinated, which was why they had survived in the City of Wisdom for so long.

One person stood behind his contract spirit, secretly relieved. But then, he felt a gust of wind behind him and was sent flying.

"It's an invisible contract spirit! Attack everywhere!" Adrian shouted.

Adrian reacted quickly, curling up in a corner, his Black-Tailed Scorpion attacking the front.

Invisibility didn't mean invincibility. It just made the spirit unseen while still vulnerable to attacks.

John watched from the house, grinning.

The invisible Slime stopped and used a new skill: Dream Kill!

Snoring sounds filled the yard, surprising the survivors.

"What is this?" Adrian looked confused, not understanding what was happening.

But the snoring grew louder, seemingly approaching him.

The Black-Tailed Scorpion's tail touched the Slime but wasn't harmed.

"It's here?!" Adrian quickly had the Scorpion use a skill, but it was too late.

The Slime, snoring and rolling, killed Adrian instantly.

Ordinary people couldn't withstand this impact.

The remaining criminals were even more terrified, the snoring like a death knell.

With its increased defense, the Slime withstood the contract spirits' attacks, charging around the yard.

In less than five minutes, the criminal gang was wiped out!

The Slime's attributes increased by 20%, significantly boosting its power.

"Hello! Owen! Come arrest the criminals!" John called Owen, giving him the exact location.

He put away the Slime, lifted Uriah and Joshua, and returned to the school.

The next day

"Spare me! don't kill me!" Uriah woke up with a start, jumping out of bed.

"Uriah, you don't need to be afraid anymore." John, woken up, looked at Uriah helplessly.

Uriah was confused, saying, "I'm back in the dorm? Was I dreaming?"

He remembered falling off the Slime and being captured by the criminals.

"Of course, it wasn't a dream!" John yawned, saying, "With me around, nothing bad will happen."

After his explanation, they reluctantly believed John had saved them.

John picked up his phone, seeing over a dozen missed calls.

"Hello! Owen! I was exhausted last night and fell asleep."

"You slept well, while I was up all night. Tell me the truth, how did you defeat that criminal gang?"

"They had an internal conflict, fought each other, and all died."

Owen was silent for a long time.

"Owen, I should get a reward this time, right?"

Owen said, "You won't be shortchanged on rewards. The Spirit Control Bureau is very busy now because of those criminals. They were all wanted!"

"Then I won't bother you further!" John hung up and walked to the classroom with Uriah and Joshua.

After last night's events, their relationship had improved.

"Today, we will officially distribute the rewards for yesterday's competition!" Zane said at the front of the classroom, "Students whose names are called, come up to receive your prize!"

"First place, John!"

Everyone had mixed expressions, surprised that an F-level Slime had won the championship.

John smiled and looked at everyone in the class.

"First place, John!"

Still, no one came up.

Zane's mouth twitched, looking down, "John, can't you hear me?"

John explained seriously, "I can hear you. I just thought others might not!"
