Chapter 65 It Was None of Your Business

John and David took Alex to the police station. Afterwards, they went to a steakhouse.

John and David felt very happy as they enjoyedtheir steak.

"By the way, David, I'm going to the Beast Taming Resource Bureau in the City of Wisdom this afternoon. Do you have any plans?" John asked as he picked up a piece of steak.

John still had fifty Interstellar Points to redeem. He wanted to exchange them.

David replied, "I'm going to a Spirit Cooking training class this afternoon."

"Alright, prepare well for your exam and cook specifically for my Slime in the future," John said.

Half an hour later, after they finished their meal, the atmosphere suddenly became serious.

They looked at each other, no longer speaking.

David broke the silence, saying, "John, it's time to pay the bill."

"Hello." John casually took out his phone. "What's the matter? I'll be right there."

David, looking puzzled, said, "John."

John made a gesture to hush David, whispering, "I'm on the phone. It's important."

"John," David said angrily, speaking up once again.

John waved his hand. "You get ready over there. I'll be right over."

With that, John prepared to leave.

"John!" David slammed the table, saying, "You're holding your phone upside down!"

David thought, 'John, if you're going to pretend to make a call, at least make it believable.

How dare you treat me as if I'm an idiot!'

John's expression froze, and he awkwardly said, "No wonder I couldn't hear the phone ringing."

"Are you trying to avoid paying the bill?" David looked at John suspiciously.

"I'm not that kind of person," John said, his eyes widening as he generously paid the bill.

They parted ways at the steakhouse.

An hour later, John arrived at the Beast Taming Resource Bureau in the eastern part of the city.

This was where Interstellar Points were used. Although material resources were abundant, few people came here. Interstellar Points were not something ordinary people could obtain.

John felt skeptical as he looked at the low building in front of him. It was surprising that a government agency had been built so casually.

Entering the lobby, John saw an old man in a vest lying on a rattan chair, fanning himself, almost asleep.

"Henry." John crouched down, approaching Henry, and spoke softly.

Henry, still squinting, showed no reaction.

"Henry," John raised his voice.

Shaking his head, John stood up and muttered, "It's on fire."

Suddenly, Henry quickly stood up, looking around in panic.

"You tricked me!" Henry yawned, pointing at John. "This is a government agency. How dare you trespass? I'll have the Spirit Control Bureau people arrest you!"

"I'm here to redeem my points. Why would you arrest me?" John shook his head. "Henry, I'm here to exchange Interstellar Points!"

Henry asked, "What are you exchanging?"

John replied, "Interstellar Points!"

Henry said, "Points?"

Henry asked, "What points?"

John was speechless, finding it difficult to communicate with Henry.

He walked toward the counter where a young woman was stationed.

John said, "Hello, I'm here to use Interstellar Points."

"Please show me your passport." The staff looked at John in surprise.  She was even more astonished after seeing his passport.

How did a student have Interstellar Points?

"Hello, here is the exchange manual." The staff handed him a green booklet.

John eagerly opened it to see what was inside.

Beast Taming Orb Section:

[Low-grade Beast Taming Orb: 1 point]

[Mid-grade Beast Taming Orb: 3 points]

[High-grade Beast Taming Orb: 6 points]

[Basic-level Beast Taming Pearl: 5 points]

[Black Iron-level Beast Taming Pearl: 20 points]

Potion Section:

[Low-grade Power Potion: 0.5 points]

[Mid-grade Power Potion: 1 point]

[High-grade Power Potion: 3 points]

[Basic Size Alteration Potion: 3 points]

Material Section:

[Power Flower: 3 points]

[Level One Enlargement Fruit: 4 points]

Looking around, John saw that almost everything was available. However, as he was only an intern Beast Tamer, there were no black iron resources or anything above that level.

In addition to this, Interstellar Points could be directly exchanged for Stellar Coins. One point was equivalent to twenty thousand Stellar Coins.

This meant that the reward for hunting the Ice Hare Lord was as high as a million Stellar Coins!

However, John had no intention of converting them into Stellar Coins. After some thought, he decided to exchange his Interstellar Points for medicinal herbs.

Alternate Dimension herbs were becoming increasingly rare. Even SourceLife Pharmaceuticals had run out of Power Flowers, and Andrew's shop hadn't received any herbs for half a month. Even the Black Market's supplies were mostly sold out.

The nurturing of herbs took a long time, and they were becoming scarcer.

John said, "I want five Level One Enlargement Fruits and seven Level One Iron Core Fruits."

"That will be forty-eight points," the staff said with a smile.

Iron Core Fruits and Enlargement Fruits were equally valuable, each requiring four points. If assessed by market value, they were definitely not worth ninety-six thousand Stellar Coins.

However, these materials were not available for purchase, and John didn't have time to wait. He needed higher efficiency!

John's golden Slime could consume twenty bottles of Size Alteration Potions and twenty-five bottles of Defense Potions, so he prioritized enhancing those two attributes.

Soon, the staff retrieved the herbs from the warehouse.

The advantage of Interstellar Points was that there was no limit to exchanging anything. Even if the City of Wisdom didn't have what you wanted to exchange, they would source it from elsewhere for you.

"There's no need for a bag; just put the herbs in here," John said, taking out a large blue bag from his backpack.

The staff's mouth twitched, thinking that John was a strange person for carrying a large bag with him.

John packed all the herbs into his backpack, whistling as he prepared to leave.

"Why are you buying so many herbs? Are you going to plant them at home?" Henry, who was standing at the door, spoke up. "You really don't understand the importance of Interstellar Points. I don't think you obtained your points legally, right?"

John smiled slightly and said, "Henry, did you hear that a stray dog gave birth outside the Black Market? Did you know about that?"

"That's none of my business!" Henry was puzzled by John's words.

"If that's the case, I'll exchange things with my points. It's none of your concern!"

Henry felt very embarrassed.
