Chapter 29 He Is My Dear Friend

"Such a simple task shouldn't be difficult for you, right?" John said with a mischievous grin. "If you don't say anything, I'll take it as a yes."

He took out 100,000 Stellar Coins from his backpack, along with a white Beast Taming Orb.

John said, "This is the Beast Taming Orb you gave me last time. I'll lend it back to you. It's useless to me."

Even after having ingested the Beast Taming Orb, it still took time to cultivate and refine it into one's own Beast-Taming power.

However, for John, cultivation was impossible. He would never be able to cultivate in his lifetime. He only wanted to rely on the system's rewards to level up.

Fiona said, "John, even if you can't get into Beast Taming University, since you've chosen this path, I hope you take it seriously."

Fiona looked serious, clearly thinking that John was already giving up.

As the Class Representative, she naturally wanted to help John.

John said, "Ms. Rosewood, I know. A low-grade Beast Taming Orb is worth 20,000 on the Black Market, totaling 120,000. Although we're friends, we need to be clear about this. I'll write an IOU first."

John wrote the IOU, and both of them signed it, which finally put his mind at ease.

"Thank you, John," Fiona said earnestly.

Although everyone was a Beast Tamer, they didn't have the ability to earn Stellar Coins. Lending her so many Stellar Coins at once was undoubtedly a great favor.

"We're all classmates. Saying thank you is too formal," John waved his hand and then added. "By the way, remember to pay back the interest as well."

John shouldered his backpack, ready to go home and rest.

Meanwhile, Fiona headed to the Black Market. Although she had Stellar Coins, the Beast Taming Orb was an extremely rare item. Whether it was available in the Black Market was uncertain, everything depended on her luck.

Days passed by.

John wanted to find an opportunity to teach Ethan a lesson, especially since his brother had tried to get someone to retaliate against him last time.

Now that Oliver had graduated and was no longer at school, John could only target Ethan.

But Ethan had been extremely cautious lately, never giving John any chance, always hanging out with a group of people, even when going to the bathroom.

Two weeks passed, and John successfully advanced to a Level 4 Beast Tamer.

Every bit of Beast-Taming power he had was obtained through the system, making him deeply appreciate the difficulty of being a Beast Tamer.

At the same time, he had completely mastered the high school Beast Taming knowledge, rarely making any mistakes.

His academic performance had actually surpassed Ava, the top student in the grade.

One day, their homeroom teacher Harper walked in with a heavy expression.

"Boys and girls, the results of this year's exams are out," Harper said seriously.

In an instant, the whole class was curious. They had less than a year until the exam, so they were naturally very concerned.

The Beast Taming Studies results were released on the day of the exam, but the academic test papers took time to grade. The total score was a combination of both subjects.

Harper said, "South River High School's overall score ranked fifth, two places lower than last year. The top score in the grade was 630, ranking outside the top ten in the city."

The school's exam results were as expected, quite poor, at least not comparable to previous years.

"The school has placed its hopes on you. If the exam results next year are still unsatisfactory, I'm afraid South River High School will be affected from then on," Harper continued.

Harper's tone was heavy, "This is both pressure and an opportunity for you. The school will provide various resources to support you. If all goes well, next year's exam scores for the entire grade will improve."

Harper continued. "There is one week left until the final exams. I hope you all make the most of your time to improve your scores."

With that, Harper looked around the classroom. "The remaining time is for you to review on your own."

Harper left the classroom, and the students buried their heads in their books.

John yawned, looking a bit bored. He had already mastered all the high school knowledge; the only thing he needed to improve was his Beast Taming level.

He was still some distance away from becoming a Level 5 Beast Tamer. To get into the top twenty in the grade, he needed to at least become a Level 5 Beast Tamer.

Just as John was feeling bored, a set of options suddenly appeared before him.

[Option 1: Stay in the classroom and study. Reward: Title 'Diligent Scholar,' Effect: Learning efficiency +20%]

[Option 2: Leave the classroom and engage in free activities. Reward: Unlock new alchemy recipe: Size Potion]

This didn't require any thought.

John stood up and confidently walked out of the classroom.

As the Class Representative, Fiona wanted to stop John.

But John had just lent her Stellar Coins, and because of his help, Fiona swallowed back the words she was about to say.

[New alchemy recipe: Size Potion unlocked!]

John was in a good mood, not expecting such a simple choice to unlock a new potion recipe.

As John walked past the boys' restroom, a chubby kid with a bruised face came out.

John asked, "Andrew Robinson? Who bullied you?"

John immediately recognized his former classmate from the regular class.

Andrew was stunned and immediately started to complain with a face full of grievances.

Andrew said, "John!"

John shouted, "Whoa, stay away from me."

Seeing Andrew about to wipe his snot and tears on him, John stepped back to avoid it.

John said, "John, it was Robert Davis and Ethan from Beast Tamer Class Three."

"Did you provoke them?" John asked.

"I accidentally peed on them," Andrew replied.

John couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"I really didn't mean to," Andrew scratched his head and said, "John, I want you to help me get revenge."

John stopped laughing, his eyes constantly shifting as he thought about other things.

John said, "I know Ethan. He's a good buddy of mine!"

John's words scared Andrew.

He quickly said, "John, I'm sorry. I didn't know you guys were friends."

"No, no, you misunderstood," John waved his hand, frowning.

John thought, 'You didn't understand my meaning.'

He cleared his throat, looking serious, and said, "What I mean is, I need Stellar Coins!"
