CHAPTER 67

SKYLAR POV - PRESENT DAY

That whole day all three of the guys stayed glued to my side in case I decided to go back into shock or lose it again or something.
But when I went to bed, the three of them insisted on joining me. Which I wasn’t surprised about.
I fell asleep pretty quickly which I was grateful for but I woke up a couple of times and I could hear the guys whispering to each other, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. I knew that they were talking about me. But right now, I just didn’t care. And I went back to sleep as fast as I could.
When I woke up early in the morning and all of the guys were still asleep so I snuck off the bed without waking them and I went to have a shower and I got dressed.
I went down to the kitchen where I made myself a coffee and I started pulling food out of the cupboards and fridge and I started making breakfast.
While I was in there I heard the three of them coming running down the stairs with really heavy footsteps but they stopped at the kitchen doorway and I was standing there staring at them while cooking on the stove.
“You scared the living hell out of us.” Lucas said, walking over and putting his arms around my waist.
“I got up early so I thought I’d make breakfast weirdos.” I said, joking.
They all seemed to relax after that and Harry walked over to the coffee machine and got a coffee for the guys and handed it to them.
“How are you feeling this morning?” Harry asked.
“Better. Thanks.” I said. And he leaned over and kissed me.
“Why is your bag down here?” Jax asked.
“Because I’m going to school.” I said.
“Is that a good idea?” Lucas asked, still holding me around the waist and his chin was resting on my shoulder.
“Yeah. I’m sure. I can’t stay locked up in the house forever.” I said.
I dished up breakfast and we went to the dining room to eat.
I didn’t really want to eat in the kitchen just yet. Not after what happened in there the other night.
So we sat around the table eating breakfast together before the guys had to go upstairs and get ready for school. But not before they all kissed me before they headed upstairs.
As soon as we got to school that morning we all walked inside and I saw that Grace was waiting near the front door.
“There you are. I’ve been waiting here for ages for you guys.” She said, completely ignoring me.
“What do you want, Grace?” Harry asked.
“Dad still wants to have that sit down with you guys. You haven’t called him yet.”
“That’s because we’re not interested. Since you’re so good at passing on messages, maybe you can pass that one along to him.” Jax said.
“Oh, what’s the matter? You guys don’t want to come to my house and see my room. I bet you guys would be impressed.” She said, pressing herself up really close to Jax.
“I’m sure your daddy has brought you everything you have ever asked for.” Lucas said. But I looked away and didn’t want to even entertain her flirting with the guys right in front of me and Harry noticed it straight away.
He was looking at me with a worried look on his face, but then he turned back to look at Grace.
“We don’t have time for this shit. Come on. We still have to go to the office before school starts.” Harry said to the guys.
So they walked off and left Grace just standing there while they dragged me away as well.
“Why do you have to go to the office?” I asked.
“We’re changing our classes. From now on, at least one of us is going to be in class with you.” He said, matter of factly. Not leaving anything open to debate. They’d already made up their minds and they didn’t care what I thought. They were insistent on being with me every second of the day.
“You do realize that’s not gonna stop her from doing anything.” I said.
“We know. But ever since the basement incident, she hasn’t come near you. She’s just more intent on flirting with us.” Lucas said.
“I think she’s trying to figure out which one of you I’m dating.” I said. And they all laughed.
“Won’t she get a shock when she finds out the truth?” Jax said softly next to me.
“Oh god. Don’t say anything.”
“You know that we won’t. But it would be good for us to tell her on the day that we graduate. At least then she’ll know that she doesn’t stand a fucking chance.” Harry said.
I always knew that Grace was gonna be trouble when it came to the guys.
She’d been eyeing them off since the first day they came to school. And for them to be showing this much interest in me had to be killing her, considering how much she hates me.
I knew that it wasn’t over with her. Next time, she’s just gonna be a lot more careful.
After we left the office and the guys had changed their classes, not allowing the receptionist or the principal to argue with them, they were pretty satisfied with the way they had set it out.
We went through the rest of the day without having much trouble at all and if there wasn’t at least one of the guys in my class then the whole three of them were.
I didn’t mind. I was still concentrating on school and trying to get the grades that I needed so I could at least try and go to college when I finished high school.
Maybe in a different city.
But at lunch time we walked into the cafeteria and Grace walked up to us immediately and grabbed onto Jax’s arm.
“Why don’t you guys come and sit with me? We’ve got three spare seats.” Grace said.
“We’re sitting with Skylar.” Jax said.
“She can sit on her own. I’m sure she’s used to it by now.” Grace said.
“Well, we’re not going to let her.” Jax said, pulling his arm out of her grasp.
“Why the hell do you even bother with that frigid little bitch? I know that she can’t give you what I can.” Grace said, pressing up against Jax again.
But this time, I was fed up. I turned back to look at Skylar and she stood up straight to smirk at me like she knew that she was getting under my skin.
So I looked at Harry and then I pulled my arm back and I punched Grace straight in the middle of her face.
She fell back on the ground with blood pouring from her nose and not only the guys, but the whole cafeteria stood there in shock.
I turned around and left the room, with the guys running after me.
“I’m sorry alright. I didn’t mean to do that but she fucking had it coming.” I said, still walking down the hallway.
“Hey. It’s alright. Stop walking.” Harry said, grabbing my arm. So I turned to look at them and I saw Jax and Lucas laughing.
“That was fucking beautiful.” Lucas said, hugging me.
“It’s good to see that our training sessions are paying off. Although, that wasn’t really self defense.” Harry said.
“Yes, it was. She was assaulting Jax.” I said. And Jax started laughing again.
“She really was. I felt very violated.” Jax said, trying not to laugh while he said it.
But Harry just took me by the hand and we decided to spend our lunch hour outside, away from everyone else in the school.
I was worried that they were going to kick me out because of that. But Harry assured me that they wouldn’t. And Grace and her father won’t say that it was me. They were smarter than that. Because if they spoke up against me then her father knows that he wouldn’t have a chance of getting into business with the guys or doing any sort of dealing with the guys.
