Chapter 31: Vincent's Escape
Vincent's Pov
There was no way to escape this time but I had plans. I won't just let Davis get away with this and Olivia who had the audacity to cross me. She'll regret her actions.
Marcus opened the door, “why that look on your face, I don't know what you are plotting, but there's no escape for you this time.” Marcus said.
I smiled, “we'll see about that. I'll make sure I kill both you and those two brats outside.”
“Looking at you now, you're almost dead, so what strength will you use to kill us all. Come on Vincent, you're in Jail and there's no escape room for you.” Marcus said.
I wasn't ready to exchange words with him, all I'm going to do was to wait till then. “You won't get away with this.”
“This is the problem with you, for years we've been looking for you, you killed Elizabeth and now you're about to do something dangerous to Devis, come on, there's no way I'm letting you leave this jail.” Marcus said, with malice in his eyes.
“You're right, I'm trapped in here, but you are forgetting something.” I said.
Marcus paused for a while.
“I'm not gonna lose anything.” I said. “You can't take me down, I've been through things that are more than this and I know I will emerge unshatherd.
Marcus sat down, watching me as I gloated over my predicament. “They have no idea what I'll do to them when I get out of this jail.” I muttered.
Sitting in the cold, damp cell, with different plans on my mind. They all thought they had won. I've spent several years perfecting my craft and I won't just lose now. It's too early for that.
“I know what you're capable of doing and that is why you will remain in jail.” Marcus said.
I let my mind wander the taste of revenge as I closed my eyes. After a while Davis left, closing the cell door behind him.
Not long after Marcus left a sound of footsteps echoed at the entrance of the door. “A visitor is here to see you.” he said with a gruff voice.
“Who is that?” I asked.
“You come with me and find out for yourself.” The guard said, harshly.
On getting there, I saw a woman with piercing blue eyes and raven brown hair. The face looked familiar though I don't think I know her.
“I've heard so much about you, it took me a lot to meet with you.” She said,
My eyes narrowed, I was unsure about who this woman was. “Who are you?” I asked.
“I'm someone who is in support of you, someone who also wants to bring Davis down.” She said In a low tone so she won't be heard by the officers.
“Then you should go do that alone, what makes you think I need your assistance or a partner to do this with.” I said, angrily.
“You don't need to be like this, I know your plans and I'm really impressed but I'm telling you you will never succeed without my help.” The woman said.
“Okay then, what do you propose?” I asked, in a low tone.
“Yeah, I was expecting that question, I'm ready to get you out of here and we both will work together to take him down.” She said,
I moved forward as I tried to adjust my chair. “So who are you to Davis?”
“You don't need to know now, we're in the station, we should be careful, they might hear us.”
“Time up.” One of the officers said, dragging me back to the cell.
The thought of who that woman was and why she had come to see me. “Could this be a trap?” I muttered. “Nah, she doesn't look like she was joking when she said all of that, she meant it.” But I wondered what her connection with Davis was and how she knew all about my plans.
At night I heard footsteps outside the cell, the door swung open. And to my surprise, I saw the woman standing at the entrance, with a small smile on her face. “It's time I get you out of here.” She said, with a small smile playing on her lips.
“How did you get the key and how are we going out of here?” I asked, confused.
“Leave that to me for now, let's go.” There was a glint of mischief in her eyes.
She quickly closed the cell door, there was a sound and she had his herself, leaving me wondering what this woman was up to.
Hours tick by, the thought that I was taking a risk trusting a strange woman filled my mind. But there was something about her that made me believe all she had said.
Still lost in my thoughts, the sound of keys giggled and she came in. “It's time to go.”
I knew I had no choice but to follow her, it was time for me to know where the journey would lead.
We got out of the cell without the notice of anyone. She led me to the unknown.
Marcus Pov
The next day, I had gone to talk to Vincent about him giving up on his plan to escape but on getting there, Vincent was nowhere to be found.
“Where is he?” I said, scanning the empty space.
“I have no idea, but he was here last night. I heard a noise from this direction last night, I decided to check who it was but I saw no one and he was still here when I checked but this morning I found it empty.” Ryder said,
“Shit.” I said, clenching fist. “That fool has finally managed to escape, I was wrong about him after all.”
“Don't worry, some officers are on their way to find him.” Ryder said, I turned to face him. “They'd better find him.” I said.
I stood still for a while, then I paced back and forth in the Station. “If I find him this time I won't spare his life again.”
