Chapter 68: Enemy of the Gate

Olivia's Pov

“So you have a lot of explanation to make if he meets you here.” I said.

“And do you think I'm scared of him?” Edward said.

I smiled. “I didn't say you should be scared of him, what you don't know is that Davis is not someone you should truffle with, you should know him better, you knew him before you were sent to work with me.”

“What can he do?” He asked.

“I don't know, but if he finds out you're here unwelcome or uninvited he will make sure he takes action. I told you I'm engaged to him yet you keep bothering me.” I said, my eyes narrowing slightly.

“What can he do? Throw me out? I'm not a timid little boy, I won't let him do all of that.” Edward snorted.

“I think I should go and welcome the love of my life while you stay here and wait for him to meet you.” I said.

I walked back into the house with Davis but to my surprise Edward wasn't there. I asked the bodyguard and he said he ran out of the house using the back door.

I couldn't stop laughing. Davis had asked why I was laughing. “You won't believe Edward was here, sitting on your couch comfortably telling me to have sex with him so he will tell me some secrets you have.”

“He had the guts to walk into my house, why did you let him in.” Davis said, talking to the bodyguard.


Davis Pov

Emily couldn't help as she kept laughing out loud. “It's funny how he thought he could just waltz in here and I do open my arms and welcome him. you know I can never cheat on you.”

“I'd trust you Olivia and I hope you don't disappoint or take my trust for granted.” I said.

I went to my room to freshen up, I stood in the toilet as an event from years back flashed back. Vincent had died in an airplane crash when he was trying to escape from the police. The investigation I had told Olivia to take care of, she later discovered Vincent was behind all of it but he was just so cunning. And the old woman in question is my parents' enemy. She did business with my parents but betrayed them.

I was happy all of that had ended. I could walk out freely the way I wanted and I was glad Emily was safe. I splashed water on my face, I really want to forget about all the encounters I had with Vincent. I never knew I had once kept a monster as a friend.

I got out of the bathroom after taking a shower and I dried my face with a towel. Olivia laid on the bed with her legs crossed, she was pressing her phone. She was putting on a sexy dress which displayed her curves. She was looking so beautiful. She didn't know I was carried away by her dressing. “Hey pretty, are you dressed like this for me?”

I smiled. “And why are you staring at me like that?”

“I couldn't resist her, just tell me you want me to come to you. I think we should have a little fun, just you and I.” Davis said,

“I didn't know you would notice I dressed for you, I just wanted us to forget about Edward's drama.” She said,

I loosened the towel around my waist and walked towards her. “I can't resist you.”

Olivia smiled, it was so bright and warm. She leaned closer to me, her lips brushing in mine. The kiss deepened as I pulled her closer. As we continued kissing I knew I wasn't going to let anyone come between us. Not even Edward, Olivia was my everything.

Just as we've gone so deep in our kiss my phone buzzed. “Ignore that, we have time to attend to that later.”

She smiled and pulled me back into the kiss. I didn't want to break the nice moment we were having together. I was lost in the moment even as the buzzing was persistent. I didn't want any distraction then, I just wanted to enjoy the warmth in Olivia's lips.

“I think you have to pick that call, it might be something important.” Olivia said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“I will get it then “ I said. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, it seemed urgent. Instead of picking the call I decided to go see who was knocking. Olivia had quickly put on a short following me to see who that was.

As I opened the door it was the bodyguard, “Hey, what is wrong and why are you knocking like a mad man?”

“We just thought we should let you know that Edward was spotted by one of us in the camera. It seems he's with some guys.” The bodyguard said.

I listened to all the bodyguard had said, what does he mean and why is Edward outside my house? My grip on my phone tightened. The bodyguard had said he was the one calling me. “Why were you calling with a strange number?” I asked angrily.

“Sorry about that sir.” He said.

I nodded, waving my hand to let go.

“What is he really saying?” Olivia asked.

“It's Edward, I don't know what he's doing here.” I said.

“I'm going to meet him, I need to earn him, what he's he trying to do?” Olivia muttered.

“Nah, why do you want to go and see him alone, I'm going with you.” Davis said. “And I might kill someone tonight. In Fact just stay back and I will go alone.”

“I'm not letting you go alone either, keys face him together.”

“You're right, let's go together, we need to present a united force against that guy.” I said.

Before we left for the gate, we went to the security, we watched as Edward was I instructing the guys he was with on the camera feed.

“What exactly is wrong with this guy?” Olivia whispered to me.

“Keys go and find out before we conclude.” I said. We made our way to the gate. When we opened the gate, Edward looked surprised to see us.

“What are you doing here by this hour of the night?” I asked, in an urgent tone.

“How do you two know I am outside here, well I'm shooting a video.” He said, pointing at the camera man.

In the camera footage it didn't look like he was shooting a video.

And with the look of things it seems like he was telling the truth. “But why are you doing that in front of my house?” I asked.

“That's because I love this place, it's a mansion and I just love the place, the scene I'm working on fits for this house, can I get in and continue the shoot?” Edward asked.

“Nah, there's no way you will shoot a video in my house, come on, just leave now.” Edward said.

“There's nothing there, I'm just shooting a video, are you scared of anything?” Edward asked.

“Does it look like I'm scared of you? I really don't want you around me, around my home or around Olivia. I'd that too much to ask?” I felt a surge of anger.
