Chapter 81: Love at First Sight

Emily's Pov

Later in the evening, I was up from my short nap and Rebbeca dragged me to the gym. Davis and Olivia were not around, Rebbeca had said they went out shopping for the wedding. Rebbeca drove to the gym,we walked into the gym when we got there. Few people were inside, they were all toned and sweaty. Looking at them I felt like an outcast.

“I'm not sure I can do this.” I said.

“Why not huh? Don't say that. This is what you need to control your fitness and health. I'm not saying you're far but the best way to maintain your body now is by doing this even when you're in school.” Rebbeca said,

I took a deep breath as I scanned around the gym. With my music career in hand I need to be fit. “Let's do this then.”

Rebbeca clapped her hands. “Good.” She turned the attention of most people in the gym to us.

The couch in the gym walked towards us. “How can I help you guys?” He asked.

I watched the way Rebecca stared at the guy. “Don't tell me you're falling for this guy.” I asked her quietly.

She just gave a little smile. “So what are we starting with?”

He mentioned the amount we'd be paying before he started the training.

“We'll be starting with a warm up.” The couch looked at me. “Don't worry we are taking it slowly.”

I nodded, and we began the workout. When I get tired Rebbeca pushes me to become my best self even if I didn't really believe in Myself.

More people were coming into the gym, a sense of anxiety washed over me but I didn't have to worry since Rebbeca was by my side. When I almost fell she made me laugh and cheered me.

I noticed the regular eye contact the couch and Rebbeca were having. I wonder what was wrong with them. But I knew something for sure. Rebbeca likes him. As soon as we met with him, I saw that look In her eyes and I wasn't convinced.

We were done for that day, as we walked out I teased Rebecca about her crush. “You have a crush on the couch, don't deny you're into him, it's clear.” I grinned mischievously.

“I'm just being friendly to him Emily, don't see it the other way round.” Rebbeca said, blushing playfully as she rolled her eyes.

I laughed. “Stop denying that, with my observation you were practically drooling over him. There was a time you lost focus.”

“Okay, you got me here, I like him but you know I can't help it. He's sweet and charming, all I could do was just stare since I couldn't touch him.” Rebbeca said,

“He's also handsome. I think you forgot that.” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Exactly, that too.” Rebecca giggled.

We walked to the car and I could only imagine how I would feel if my heart raced for someone like the way Rebecca was at that moment.

We drove away from the gym and I was just staring at Rebbeca's lovestruck expression. She was obviously smitten with the couch.

“You know I feel like a schoolgirl, we did a lot of this then.” She blushed, looking at her hands.

“Well you're just crushing on him, what if he doesn't like you?” I said, raising my eyebrow.

“I feel something will come out of it, I need to start gyming also.” Rebecca said.

I couldn't stop laughing. “Are you doing all of this because of the couch? I thought I was the only one who needed to go to the gym so I should go alone from tomorrow till I get back to school, while you do other things.”

“No way, I will be going with him. I have to make the first move.” Rebbeca said.

“What? Are you going to ask him out?” I asked, curiously.

“I promise not to ruin your training session. I just hope I can help it.”


I smiled. “It's fine.”

We drove home and we met Olivia and Davis' car outside. “What's going on here?” Rebbeca muttered.

I got down from the car and walked towards the car but there was no one there. Now I was worried. I asked the security guard. “I saw them driving in, this car isn't for them.” He said

“Then who?” I asked. “Don't you do your Job?”

“I’m sorry Ma.” He said.

Rebecca parked the car outside. As we got to the house I saw my parents car parked inside. Whoever the owner of that car was, that person must be related to us.

I hissed before we walked into the house. “And who parked the car outside with… .”

I paused. I was surprised to see my Grandparents. “Hey Grandma and Grandpa. I'm happy to see you guys.”

“See how big my granddaughter has become, she's now a full grown woman.” Grandma said.

“Come on mom, she's just 18.” My dad said. He always sees me as a child.

“Did you park your car at the entrance of the gate?” I asked them.

“Oh that, we forgot to drive in.” Grandma said. I couldn't stop laughing.

“Really?” My dad asked.

I laughed. “Grandpa, you guys are really something else, who does that.”

Now my grandparents were now looking a bit sheepish. “Anyways, forget about that, we are just happy to see you after a long time.”

“I miss you a lot.” I said, hugging them tightly.

My dad gave the key to the bodyguard to repair the car. I turned to my grandparents asking them how long they'd be staying.

“We can't miss your father's wedding for anything, we are staying for the wedding.” Grandma said, her face lit up.

“It's really going to be a great celebration, it's good to see you guys.” I said.

“And where are you coming from?” My dad asked.

I sighed. “Well, I want to start watching my weight, so I went to the gym with Rebbeca.”

“Alright, your cousin's will be coming tomorrow, so I want them to stay in your room so you guys can get to know each other well.” He said.

“But Dad, there are lots of rooms in this house. Why must they stay in my room?” I asked.

“Well, don't ask me questions.” My dad said.

I sighed. “How many of them?”

“Two.” He replied.

“Dad, there's no way I'm sleeping with anyone on my bed except you want me out of this house.” I said, angrily. I really love my privacy and I can't even let my cousin's who I've never seen before intrude.

“Stop acting this way Emily, you should be happy that they are coming over, you also have cousin and niece brothers coming so I want you to get along with all of them.” My Dad said. “So stop being rude and selfish.”

“Just let her be," Grandma said. She loves her privacy.”

“Nah mother, there is no way I will let that happen, I want it my way this time, I have always done everything for you but when I ask for a favor you always refuse.” He said, angrily.

I left the living room with annoyance.
