Chapter 74: Love Displayed
Davis Pov
I came back late to see the house empty. Olivia was nowhere to be found. I dialed her number but it still wasn't going through. Now I was worried. I asked the bodyguard they said she left with Rebbeca in the afternoon and she didn't come back after that. “Then why is her phone off?” I muttered. Still dialing the number.
I was getting worried already before I saw Olivia driving in. She came out of the car with a short and crop top. She was drunk so I couldn't even ask her questions. “Where were you, your phone was off, I wasn't able to reach you.”
“Just take me inside, I'm tired.” Olivia said.
“Why are you drunk? Is anything wrong?” I asked.
“Well, why don't we get married?” Olivia asked.
I was shocked. “Married? Is that why you are drunk?”
“Maybe that's the reason I'm drunk, so why don't we just get married tomorrow?” She said,
I smiled. “Come on, I can see you're not in your right senses.”
“You think so?” I asked. “Who were you with?”
“I met Marcus, you know it's been a long time since we were in touch.” She said,
“Why did you meet him?” I asked, curiously.
“Well, he told me I should leave you for him, so why don't we just get married so all of this will stop.” She said, hitting me on my chest.
I didn't know Olivia always wanted us to get married, I thought she loved the way we were and with the look of things I thought it'd be best if I got married to her. “Why will Marcus say a thing like that?” I asked.
She sighed heavily, throwing up on my feet. “Jeez.” I said.
“My bad, just take me in.” She said,
I wasn't sure if I was ready for marriage but since that was what Olivia wanted I will grant her wish. I had always wanted to do everything to make her happy. But she had never complained about not getting married. I'm just curious why she did that all of a sudden after meeting with Marcus.
I took her into the house. She asked me to pull her top and short off so she could shower. I did that. “You can go have your shower now.” I said, turning to leave the room.
“And where do you think you are going?” She said,
“Just want to take some fresh air outside the house.” I said.
She sat on the bed naked. “I can't have a shower myself in the state I am now, why don't you help me out.”
I smiled. “Then I will help you out.” I took her to the toilet as she could barely walk. Her long curly hair fell across her shoulders.
With a hint of mischief in her eyes she stared at me. I was speechless looking at her naked body and how radiant it was. I then washed her hair gently, before washing off the soap on her body. I washed out the soap on her body properly before washing her hair. I messaged her muscle gently as she let out a soft sigh. The shower water cascading down her body washing off the soap. She leaned into my touch as I continued to message her body. She closed her eyes and was relaxed. She was enjoying every single moment.
After a while she opened her eyes. The water dripped on us. “Thanks.” She said, taking a shower to dry herself. I took the towel from her and helped her out. I tried the towel around her waist after that. She leaned on my chest smiling. “We should do this more often.” She said,
After the shower we shared a moment of pure intimacy.
It was morning, the sun shines brightly as the room was directed to the east. I closed the curtains as the sun was directly at Olivia's face. I wrapped my hands around her waist as I got back to the bed and gave her a gentle peck. I then left for the kitchen. Since Maria, our maid, left Olivia has been the one cooking, she enjoyed cooking so I couldn't employ a new cook. I looked round the kitchen, I had no idea where she kept the provisions. I opened different drawers before I finally found it. “Okay we have a lot here, what should I make for breakfast?” I muttered.
Just as I was still looking for what to make, Olivia looked at the kitchen staring at the opened drawers. “Hey what are you doing?”
“I thought you were asleep, you shouldn't have woken up yet.” I said.
She looked at me curiously. “Why?”
I smiled. “Well, I wanted to serve you breakfast in bed.”
She laughed. “You should have done that before now, this is 10 o'clock AM, didn't you check the time.”
I didn't say a word. I should have actually done it before now.
“What were you planning to make?” She asked.
I sighed. “I actually don't know, I was confused on what to make for breakfast.”
“Let me do what I'm best known for.” she walked closer to me, pushing me aside.
“Really? Do you think I can't do anything?” I said.
“Then you wouldn't have been standing here doing nothing, we both know you're not the cooking type , it's not as if I'm bragging.” Olivia said, rolling her eyeballs.
“You are actually bragging right now.” I said.
“My bad,” she said, as she brought out some eggs. She started breaking them in a bowl. “Sime toast and scrambled eggs won't be bad.”
I nodded, “Not bad.” I sat on the kitchen chair as I watched her walk in different directions in the kitchen trying to make breakfast. It was the weekend so we had all day to ourselves.
I was happy to have a life with Olivia, she was everything I had always wished for. “You know I don't feel bad even if you tease me about my cooking skill.”
The aroma of the egg filled the kitchen as she flipped the egg in the pan. I couldn't wait to taste the food.
“I wouldn't have believed it if I was told I'd find love like this. You mean alot to me sweet.” I said,
“Why?” She asked, curiously.
I smiled. “Well, maybe because I enjoy every single time spent with you, you delicious food, your smile and all makes me happy.”
After a while she was done cooking, and she served the food. I took a bite and it was nice. “You never disappoint.”
She smiled, sitting there enjoying each other's company. “So what are we going to be doing today?”
I had no idea. “Well you mentioned something about us getting married yesterday, I guess you were drunk so we should talk about it now.”
“Marriage? Did I say that?” She asked.
“You were drunk so I didn't expect you to remember.” I said.
She sighed. “Really?”
I nodded. “So why didn't you tell me you always wanted us to get married?”
“Don't bother about what I said yesterday, I was drunk. Did I do anything stupid?” She asked.
I smiled. “Are you telling me you can't remember the intimate moment we had?” I muttered.
She dragged my ears. “Let's just eat.”
