Chapter 88: Olivia's Return
Marcus Pov
Now I knew my mother's life was at risk. I knew the only way to save my mother was to release Olivia, but I really don't want to let her go. “I love my mom just as I love Olivia and I don't think I can live without her.” I muttered. We had already left the old building we were hiding. My men and I went to Olivia somewhere deep surrounded by mountains. I was contemplating if I should let Olivia go, but the thought of her putting a ring on Davis' finger to be with him forever made me worried.
I kept gazing at the mountain that surrounded us. It was really a hard decision to make. I was thinking while my men were waiting for my orders. But the thought of telling them to release Olivia was something hard to say.
“Where should I keep her?” One of the men asked.
“In the cottage.” I said, while trying to stall for time. I was still figuring out what to do.
So my men led her away into the cottage, still lost in thoughts, I thought about my mother. I knew I was putting her in great danger. I need both and I don't want to lose any.
I followed the men to the cottage after taking a deep breath. I just need to think fast or else I will lose everything. I got in with the men, Olivia fixed her gaze on me, she was sitting close to the door. I didn't know how Olivia was taking my actions and I was scared she would never forgive me.
I was still gazing at Olivia pleading eyes. She really wants to go.
One of the men moved closer to me. “We need to act fast, they are already in search of us.” He whispered.
“Please Marcus, anything at all you want I will give to you, just let me go.” Olivia said,
I pulled her closer to me. “You can't get married to him, I won't let you wear his ring and bear his children and then be left with only the memory of me being with you.”
Olivia's face was filled with tears. “I'm in love with him, I don't love you.”
I turned, looking elsewhere. My mother and Olivia are in the line. I was confused. I closed my eyes for a few seconds. “Bring her to the car.” I said, leaving the cottage.
She was taken to the car, I could hear her scream, it was just like a dagger in my heart. “Let me go please.” She kept saying.
I didn't want to see tears that flowed down her cheeks so I turned away. But I knew something for sure. I was putting my mother in danger and if she finds out I don't know if she'd ever forgive me.
Olivia was taken into the car, I looked round the mountain. I got into the car and I sped off. Olivia both hands were tied.
Olivia didn't stop pleading as I drove off. I knew I shouldn't dare look at her because I knew it would shatter my resolve. As I sped away the mountain. My heart was heavy with the betrayal. Olivia murmured and cried, her voice was becoming weak, she was already exhausted.
After a while the car skidded to a halt which made the mountains tower above us. I quickly drove out of there.
But when I looked at the rearview mirror I discovered we were being chased.
I needed to do something fast. We had already been caught. “Leave the car.” I said, and one of the men quickly opened the car as Olivia was thrown out.
Before I continued driving, I looked at her. I could see the determination in her eyes.
“Keep moving.” I said to one of the men with a detached and cold voice. Now I was scared that I would lose her forever.

I drove quickly as I saw Olivia thrown out of the car. I rushed out of the car. She was on the floor. Looking tired and exhausted. Her eyes were red. She must have been crying. I quickly rushed to her with concern on my face.
I quickly took her to the car, I could see the fear in her face. I wasn't going to ask her any questions.
“I want to go home.” She said,
I held her hands squeezing them. “I will take you home safely.”
Olivia's eyes were fixed on the road ahead of us as her hand trembled on mine. I didn't know how best to reassure her, all I could see was fear in her eyes.
The press were outside waiting for our arrival. Olivia turned her face elsewhere as the camera light flashed on her face. “We are home already.” I said, reassuring her that she was safe and drove quickly into the house.
Her eyes were filled with tears as I drove I to the house. I held her hand, squeezing them again. “I won't let anyone hurt you anymore.”
I got out of the car, and I quickly opened the door for her to get down. The look on her face showed how exhausted she was. “Thanks for coming for me.” Olivia said, hugging me tightly.
“Come on, I should always do that for you, you don't have to worry about that. You're safe now.” I said, holding her hands as we walked towards the door.
Emily must have sighted us, she rushed out of the house, she didn't bother to know how tired and exhausted Olivia was she hugged her tightly as they both fell to the ground. It was a very happy moment for us all. Rebbeca was also in the house and she was happy to see Olivia back.
Jasmine, the lady who told us about Marcus' plan , was still in the house. I didn't expect to meet her there, we had left for hours and she patiently waited for Olivia to return.
“I'm so sorry about Marcus' behavior, I've been with him for years and I had no idea he was capable of doing something like this.” Jasmine said.
“Who are you to him?” Olivia asked.
“I'm is Ex-girlfriend, He ended things with us yesterday saying he only loves you.” She said,
“I know how hurt you feel, but I assure you Marcus and I can never be together.” Olivia said and I felt a sense of pride. I was lucky to be with someone like her.
Emily was still excited. “Grandma and Grandpa are inside the house, they've been so worried.”
Olivia smiled. “Thank you all for your love.”
We all walked into the house. Since it was a hall moment. I had to employ a cook to make varieties of dishes so we could throw a feast.
“Is that necessary?” Olivia asked.
“Yes, I have to do this.” I said.
“We should concentrate on the wedding for now.” She said,
I smiled. “Not after I celebrate your return.”
“What about Marcus' mother? where is she now?” Olivia asked.
I rolled my eyes. “Well, we never brought her out of the hospital, we used all of that to threaten Marcus. That was the only thing we could think of so he can release you.”
