Chapter 86: Marcus Trap

Marcus Pov

I didn't want to hurt Olivia deep down. I felt bad seeing her in pain, but there was nothing I could do. “What I'm i turning into?” I muttered.

I don't have to feel bad. I tried to tell myself. “I don't have to feel guilty.” I said.

The thought of how we've spent a lot of time together kept coming to my mind. Olivia is more than just a friend to me and it hurt me to see her in so much pain. I had only thought doing this was the only way to get her.


Olivia's Pov

I tried as much as I could to convince Marcus to release me. “My family will be worried.”

“And who cares about your family. The only way you can make them not to be worried is by getting married to me. Just call them now, tell them you are leaving the country and their mind will finally be at ease that you are safe at least.” Marcus spat.

“You must be joking, why will I do that?” I muttered. “Think about it, think about everything we've shared together, think about the moment we spent together. I don't want to think of you as a monster. You are my friend and one mistake you will make is to throw away our friendship for something that can never happen.”

“You think it's just about being friends huh? I want to be with you Olivia, I can't live without you and if you won't listen to me I will rather kill you next to me.” Marcus said.

I can't blame him for having feelings for me. I can't question his feelings but I think he's going too far.

“I've always loved you, I've been hiding my feelings for years and I can't sit back and watch you get married while I remain here.” He said. “You don't care about my feelings.”

“Nah, you are mistaken, I value our friendship and I don't want us to have misunderstandings. Just let me go. I will make sure the police do nothing about this. You won't be arrested.” I said.

“And who told you I can be arrested?” He muttered.

I knew I was being so nice to Marcus. I struggled to free myself from the chair I was tied to. But there was no way I could free myself. Marcus grabbed my arms. “Saying no to me, is something you will regret.”

Marcus dragged my arms while I tried to release the grip from my hand. Marcus dragged me deeper into the cabin. I was scared of what he was going to do next. I knew I had to do something because with the look on his face he was determined to hurt me. I was very scared. I don't know who will come to my rescue.



Marcus Pov

I watched as tears rolled down Olivia's cheeks but I couldn't control my actions. Even if I release her now, I will be arrested. I didn't think Olivia would spare my life if she left this place alive. And looking at her I could see the picture of the memories we've spent together and I knew Olivia had never looked at me like that with fear and hatred. I didn't know how to stop myself from what I was doing because I was consumed by my own desire. I knew I was actually turning into a monster. I wasn't sure if I could stop myself.

I stared at Olivia, she was shivering. “You're feeling cold?” I asked, but got no response from her.

I asked one of the men to get a blanket. Which I used to cover her.

She rolled her eyes. “Can you at least lose these ropes around my body, I'm hurt.” Olivia muttered. I could see the pain in her eyes, so I thought I should lose the rope. The men assisted me in losing the rope and Olivia stood up to stretch her body.

“Can I get water?” She asked. I was already becoming suspicious because she was asking a lot of questions already. I took a deep breath. I signaled one of the men to go get a bottle of water from my car.

Olivia paced back and forth in the small wooden room. It was as if she was thinking about something. But there was no way I would let her get into her way with her plan.

I was just watching her before I got a call from an unknown number. I hesitated before picking up. I decided to pick the call and was surprised to hear Davis speaking. “I know you're with Olivia.” He said.

I paused for a while before speaking. “And who told you I'm with her.” I asked.

“Well, your girlfriend, Jasmine, is here with us. She found your plans in your drawer and she brought them to me. If you know what is best for you, bring her back or await the consequences.” Davis spat. It seems he wasn't scared of what was going to happen to Olivia. “Is he doing this on purpose?” I muttered to myself.

I couldn't believe Jasmine would do a thing like that. She really went to tell Davis everything after finding out. “Tell Jasmine I will make sure I kill her for taking that to you and as for you Davis there's nothing you can do because Olivia has agreed to be mine and we will be traveling outside the country soon.”

But Olivia shouted. “Don't listen to him, he's lying.”

I told one of the men to stop her.

Davis laughed. “Don't you dare hurt her, you claim to love her yet you love seeing her in so much pain, what kind of a guy are you?”

“You can say whatever you want to say but she's here with me already.” I said, laughing. “I can't watch her get married to you.”

“I just hope you don't hurt her because if you do you won't like what I will do to you. The police are on their way to get your sick mother, she will be in my custody and I will tell her what her son does.” Davis said.

“What? How dare you bring my mother I to this. Don't say anything to her.” I said, angrily.

I really don't want my mom to know about this. She will feel bad that her son is turning into a monster.

“Then we should have a deal, if you don't want your mom to know about this all you need to do is to bring Olivia back to me.” Davis said.

I knew he got me already. If my mom was to hear about this with her illness she might have a heart attack and die and I don't want that to happen. I don't want to be the cause of her death.

“It's fine, I will bring her back to you, just let my mom remain in the hospital where she is, she's ill.” I said, trying to convince him.

“Nah, we'll take her back to the hospital when you bring Olivia back. So I think it's best you bring her now so your mom will be safe.” Davis said.

I sighed heavily. I stared at Olivia who was still shivering with fear.
