Chapter 77: Forced Love

Marcus pov

I wasn't happy that Olivia came with Davis. I couldn't even talk to her without him interrupting. I was really upset. “So you guys are really getting married?”

“Why are you surprised?” Davis asked.

“I should be, she never mentioned anything like that to me when we met yesterday and now you are telling me this, this is suspicious.” I said.

“Why are you suspicious of us getting married? Are you against it?” Davis asked, raising his eyebrows.

I knew exactly why I was angry and I wasn't sure if I wanted to say that out loud.

I didn't know how to express my feelings without sounding jealous because Davis' expression was pushing me over the edge. “Don't you think getting married is a bit fast, you guys need to get to know each other well before you start thinking of marriage.”

“We've been together for years Marcus, we know each other well enough.” Davis said. “That's what Olivia wants.” Olivia looked at him before he corrected himself. “Yeah, that's what we want.”

Olivia was just watching us exchange words. If only she knew how I felt. “Marcus I get that you and Olivia are friends but don't you think you are crossing your boundary?” Davis asked.

I felt a pang of anger at what he said but I had to control myself because I wasn't going to cause a scene in front of Olivia.

I stood up, “Can I talk to you Olivia?”

“Sure, what is it?” She asked.

“Well not here.” I said,

“You can tell her whatever it is here.” Davis attacked.

While I was still trying to consider what to say to Olivia she stood up to follow me.

“Hey, are you really going with him?” Davis said, angrily.

But Olivia didn't give him any response.

“Really?” Davis muttered.

Olivia and I walked to the end of the beach. “Hey we've just been walking, what do you have to say?” She asked.

I took a deep breath, looking for the right word to say. “Olivia, I really care about you and I can't watch anyone hurt you, I don't want you to get married to Davis.”

“What is your point Marcus? What are your reasons?” she asked.

“I just feel you both are rushing this marriage thing, why can't you take it slowly.” I said, I knew it would be difficult for me to see Olivia if she gets married to Davis.

“But you know that cannot happen now, we don't think we're in a rush and we've dated for five years and I think that I am more than okay for us to settle down.” Olivia said, rolling her eyes.

“So you guys dated for five years? Why didn't you mention that to me?” I said.

Olivia sighed. “Marcus we've lost contact for years now and I met you yesterday don't you think you're not supposed to know everything. You can't blame me because we barely talk anymore.”

I knew she was right. “I know we weren't talking the way we normally do.”

There was silence for a while before I spoke up. “Sorry for saying this Olivia, all I want is just what is best for you, I don't think Davis will make you happy.”

“Then who is?” She asked.

I smiled, holding her arms. “I'm the perfect guy for you Olivia, you know me very well, I'm a very caring person.”

“I know you are caring Marcus, but my heart belongs to Davis, you know how much I've always loved him. You have no idea how much I love him.” Olivia said, trying to remove her arms from my gasp.

I sighed. “Are you not seeing how much I love you? Why do you have to come with him today? I wanted you to come alone.”

Olivia rolled her eyes, adjusting her bra which seemed to be oversized. “Marcus I don't know what you're planning but I want to be straight with you now. If you know you want something more than friendship I will just cut you off. I can't leave without Davis I I hope you won't try anything stupid cause I know you too well.”

“Is that all you can say to me because of Davis, you knew me before that guy, you never knew how I feel.” I said angrily.

“I have nothing to say to you Marcus, my love still remains with Davis and nothing can change it.” Olivia said, with a determined voice.

I smiled. “I see you're not ready to accept my feelings, so we'll die here together.”

“Who do you think is gonna die with you?” Olivia asked, curiously.

“You of course, Davis isn't here to save you.” I said, a hint of malice in my eyes. She tried to run but he held me back. “Where do you think you're going, Davis won't save you, by the time he gets here we both will be dead.”

Olivia wasn't scared. “What are you trying to say? Why are you doing this?”

“You know me for years but It seems you don't know what I'm capable of doing.” I said, fixing my gaze on her.

Olivia kept shouting but no one could hear her voice. “Get your hands off me.”

“You won't like what I will do next, I advise you to leave me alone, are you threatening me to be with you? Do you think this will change anything?” She spat on me.

I smiled, trying to kiss her. “You can spit on me the way you want. It will be nice to finally taste that saliva.”

I tried her hands and legs with a rope and I sat next to her. I lit a cigarette. But Olivia kept shouting.

Davis Pov

It was taking a long time for Olivia to get back so I was getting worried. I could hear someone shouting but I couldn't tell if that was Olivia though it sounded like her voice. “I told her not to go with that guy but she refused.” I was worried.

I scanned around the beach but they were nowhere to be found. “Olivia, Olivia ... .O.. .” I shouted but there was no response as the beach was so noisy with a lot of people so I couldn't even see a trace of Olivia.

A sense of panic arose Inside me. I was scared Marcus might have hurt her. I kept searching and asking some people if they had seen any trace of Olivia but no one had seen her. “I just hope Marcus hasn't done something to her. He won't like my actions.” I muttered.

I looked from a distance, I could see two figures. One Person was on the floor while one was squatting next to the person on the floor. I assumed that was then. I ran towards that direction.

I got closer, it seems they didn't notice my presence. Marcus was saying something in a low tone to Olivia while Olivia was upset. I wondered what Marcus was trying to do. “What is going on here? And why is Olivia on the floor?” I asked as I kicked Marcus on the floor giving him some punch.

“Just let him be sweetheart, lose these ropes from my hand.” Olivia said. But all I wanted to do at that moment was to deal with Marcus so I didn't stop punching him.
