Chapter 56: Caleb's Prank
Davis Pov
I called for Rebbeca, “Have you spoken to Olivia?” I asked.
“Yes sir, she agreed to meet with me tomorrow.” Rebbeca said.
“That's good, but have you guys decided on the place to meet?” I asked.
Rebbeca nodded. “Yes.”
“I suggested we meet at the new coffee shop downtown.” Rebecca said.
“That's a good spot, but hope you didn't tell her I'll be there?” He asked.
“Yeah, she knows nothing about that.” Rebbeca said.
I nodded, writing some detail on a note. “So what time did you both agree to meet?”
“We haven't fixed a time yet, we'll talk about that later.” She said,
I walked to the window, looking down from the view and it was nice. I really wanted her to see what I found in the garden.
Olivia's Pov
I really don't know why Rebbeca wanted to see me. “Caleb stop giving me that look I'm going nowhere today.” I said.
“There's no way you are going to stay in this house, you need to go out.” He said.
“Okay fine.” I said.
“So you're going to go in there and wear something sexy.” He said.
I smiled. I went into the room and after a while I walked out with a long gown. “But this isn't sexy enough,” he said.
“This dress is perfect, you're just Impossible.” ilI said, playfully rolling my eyes.
Caleb raised his eyebrows, “Nah, I don't think this is sexy.” He said, looking me down from head to toe.”Are you sure this is my sister, you dress more than this, come on go Change to something else.”
“Well if I'm not going with this dress I'm not going at all then, because I'm wearing what I like and I can't wear it just because you want me to.” I said, rolling my eyes.
Caleb laughed. “But to be sincere it looks like you're going for a funeral.”
“So you want me to wear it just to satisfy your ego?” I asked.
“Not to satisfy my ego, I just want that confident and beautiful woman of you out, you know what I'm talking about.” Caleb said.
“What are you talking about?” I Couldn't just admit he was right. But he pleaded with me so I walked back into the room and changed into a sleek blue dress, it hugged my curves, bringing out my shapes.
Caleb's eyes widened with shock when I walked out. “And this is what I'm talking about, you're looking so beautiful.” He said in a low tone. “You got it all sis.”
“You talk too much, can't you just shut up.” I said.
Caleb smiled. “Nah, I can't, when I see a beautiful woman like you I have to appreciate that beauty.”
I felt good watching my brother appreciating my appearance, “I bought this for you.” He said, kneeling to wear the heels on my leg.
“Wow, now I'll admit this is beautiful, I love it.” I said, trying not to blush. I was excited, my brother was making me happy.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I wasn't looking that bad, “It’s been a long time since I dressed this way.” I said.
I appreciated Caleb for all his care. “You're the best brother one could ever ask for, but you're annoying sometimes, you just have a way of winning me back when you get me angry.”
“But where are we going exactly?” I asked, before Caleb stood up, holding out his arms for me to take. “Let's go.” He said.
I held his arms, nodding my head as we walked out of the door.
We walked to the car, got into the car, with my black heels. “You didn't say anything about where we are going.” I said.
He didn't say anything, instead he started the engine.
“Why are you avoiding my question?” I asked but he just smiled.
He started the engine and we drove through the city. He turned to the highway, he turned on the music. “Isn't that too loud?” I said.
Caleb finally stopped at an apartment. The gate was opened after Caleb spoke to the security guard.
“Now I'm confused, what's all this about?” I asked.
“Okay this is my fianceé's house and we're having dinner with them now, I knew if I had told you, you wouldn't have come nor would you want to dress like this.” Caleb said.
“So you deceived me? I knew you were up to something but I couldn't tell what it was exactly.”
“I'm sorry, you just have to coordinate yourself as we go in there,” he said.
“You told me you don't have a girlfriend, so how are you getting married?”
“I wanted to tell you officially.” He said, smiling.
“So you're getting married?” I asked with shock.
“Yes, sister.” He said, before we could finish talking a young lady walked out of the house.
Caleb opened the door as he ran to hug her. “Hey, we've been waiting for you.” She said,
Caleb signed. “Yeah, I didn't tell you I'd be coming with my sister right? She's here with me.”
“Are you serious?” She said, I walked out of the car, with a fake smile on my face.
“Wow, she looks beautiful, I can't wait for my parents to see her.” She said,
We exchanged pleasantries and I asked for her name.
“You didn't tell her about me Caleb?” She asked.
“She just found out now, don't give me that look, I had my reasons.” Caleb said.
We walked into the house. I couldn't stop looking at this young man sitting on the couch with his chest exposed, he was looking hot. “This is my brother.” Annie said.
I expected him to stand up and hug me but he just waved his hands. “Don't mind him, that's how he acts sometimes, he's probably not in a good mood.” Annie said,
We got to the table where the food was placed, Annie brought out a chair for me to sit. “My parents will join us shortly.” She said,
“Wait, why do you make me dress this way.” I whispered in Caleb’s ear.
“I'm sorry.” He whispered back.
I sat on the chair and I was picking at Annie's brother, he was really looking hot. He caught me staring so I quickly turned my face to another direction.
“Wow, she's beautiful.” Caleb's mother said. My mind wasn't there.
“Hey sis,” Caleb said, bringing me back to reality.
Annie's brother joined us, “So what do we have for dinner?” He asked.
“Why don't you wait, you'll find out yourself.” Annie's father said.
I shifted uncomfortably on my seat, I didn't know I was biting my lips, looking at him passionately.
Just then Annie's father sighed. “I think we should focus on our meal.” He said smiling.
The food was dished by a maid and we began to eat and chat. I was happy to see my brother and his fianceé that way.
“This was supposed to be me.” I said. I didn't know I said that out loud.
“Is she talking to herself?” Annie asked Caleb in a low tone.
I wasn't comfortable around the hot guy, it was just as if I should grab him and start kissing him. No matter how hard I tried not to look at him I kept on looking at him.
