Wednesday, October 31st Pt.2

“A choice in what?” I whisper, uncertain what to do with this new information.
“I’ve sent Jessa with my delta, Anthony, to retrieve you from White Ridge. I spoke with Dr. Boyter and he felt that as long as you take it easy and report when your migraines start and stop, he has no issues with releasing you from Ridge General.
They will come to the hospital in the morning. Jessa brought some of your clothes with her so she can help you get dressed and they will be staying until you are released. You will stay the night with Jessa at the Ridgeline Grand Hotel before making the trip back to Crimson Dawn.”
“Why are you saying I don’t have a choice when I want to return?”
“I’m glad you feel that way as it will make getting you out of the hospital easier with your cooperation.”
“Alpha?” I speak nervously.
“It’s okay to speak your mind, Cole?”
“I want to come back to you but your plan. Something feels very wrong with your plan. Why can’t Alpha Moore take me to the hotel? I can’t explain the sudden unease but I’m scared. I don’t want to stay another night here.”
Panic is starting to invade my body as I voice what I can’t explain.
“Please alpha, make arrangements to get me out of this territory now.”
His silence is deafening as I’m barely able to whisper my need.
“Let me talk to Andrew and Winston alone. Perhaps they have connections with another pack within an hour or twos drive from here.”
He tries to console me but it’s not enough to calm the panic welling up inside me.
“For now, let’s plan on getting you out in the morning. I will call you on your hospital room’s phone if things change.”
“Yes sir.”
“I will see you soon.”
He ends the conversation with a tap of a button but I can’t help but feel defeated knowing that I’m staying another night. Dr. Moore puts his phone away shortly after Alpha Demetri hangs up.
“Please Alpha Whiteman. Please get me out of here. Please hide me. As uneasy as hearing your plan made me, I swear that’s what I need. He knows. I don’t know how but I feel it. He’s coming after me and it’s no longer safe for me here. Please. Take me to your safe room until my mate, my Jessa gets here.”
I loath how pathetic I sound as I beg this unknown alpha for protection from unforeseeable events but I have never ignored this feeling. It has never been wrong.
“Please.”
I whisper again as he stands without speaking and heads towards the door signaling Alpha Moore to do the same.
“Try to relax, Cole.”
He tries to calm me as he places his hand on mine.
“I promise you are safe here. The hospital knows not to release you without my approval. Get some rest. The nurse will come get you and take you to the cafeteria for dinner soon.”
All I can do is nod. I roll to my side, whimpering slightly as the painful stomach cramps remind me that things are about to get bad. I can only hold on to the thin sliver of hope that the alphas that are so desperate to protect me retrieve me in time.

Wednesday, October 31st; 9pm

I wake with a start. I jump out of the bed and sprint to the bathroom making it just in time to empty my stomach into the toilet. I stay kneeling in front of it, cursing the dizziness that comes from such a sudden movement and the migraine I’m certain is going to follow.
‘Kristoph.’ My wolf hisses in warning.
‘It can’t be.’ I whisper back as I start concentrating solely upon my hearing.
I stand slowly, placing my hand on the bandage now covering where the IV used to be. I nervously pick at it, wanting the tape off my skin. I make my way slowly to my bed, looking cautiously around my room, grateful that Dr. Moore brought me my clothes and shoes.
He reassured me that they were making arrangements with a pack an hour away to transfer me to. Unfortunately it seems that he hasn’t come back for me in time.
I slip my feet into my shoes and slip my hoodie over my head before heading towards the door. I know it’s not a secure room and I’m easily a sitting duck if my wolf is correct and he’s seldom wrong about the proximity of family.
I open it slowly, uncertain as to what lays on the other side. I slip out of my room unnoticed and head towards the stairs. I shift partially enroute just in time to smell the last wolf I would ever want to smell, Kristoph.
I duck quickly into the stairwell and start jogging down the steps checking each door I come to. The moon goddess is not on my side as each door I check is locked.
I continue my trek down the steps completely lost as to what floor I started on. My heart jumps into my throat as I hear several doors open above me and at least three sets of feet running loudly down the stairs.
I find myself in the underground garage by the time I find a working door but my head start is short lived as two of the wolves jump their way down the rest of the stairs landing in front of me before I get out the door.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Desmond sneers.
My eyes dart wildly around me trying to find the best way to get out of this predicament. Slowly, I attempt to back away but I’m violently shoved to the floor before a shoe collides hard with my face.
“Pick him up.”
Kristoph’s voice is all too familiar as I feel the rough, unforgiving hands of his beta and delta wrap around my arms hauling me to my feet. My mouth and nose are bleeding profusely as he strikes me hard in the stomach.
“Did you really believe faking a seizure would get you out of returning home. It’s the first time in over ten years that dad has allowed me alone time with my precious baby brother. While that belting made me stay away from you it did little to curb my desires. I have a disease you know. Hypersexual defiance disorder. Dad did a blood test to confirm it was there as it fucks with your hormones. Apparently doubling the amount of testosterone a male werewolf has nixes your ability to control violent behavior especially when it comes to sex.”
He cackles maniacally as he places his fingers under my chin. I pull away from his touch earning me a swift slap across the face adding to the pain I’m already in. The sting of the tears I wanted no one to see run down my face as he grabs me harshly, forcing me to look at him.
“I was forced to promise dad that you wouldn’t become my bitch this time but he has changed his mind about one thing. The one thing that I’m good at mixed with the ultimate challenge of forcing a male to come while under duress. Your three days with me will be hell brother, but worse than that is the knowledge of our ultimate goal. Dad wants Melinda or Sasha pregnant with your child before he disposes of you. It will give credence to Sasha’s claim that you’ve been raping her for nearly a year, especially if I can get both of them pregnant. You will never know your child and your child will never know love. Just like you, they will never know mercy. Just like you, they will be kept weak, injured, and hungry. Just like you, their life will be nothing but pain and fear.”
He growls lowly in my face, one of the worst things that dad could ever come up with. I growl as I wildly resist those who restrain me.
“Let him go. It’s time we find out how much he’s learned from his time out of the territory.”
He laughs uncontrollably until my fist collides with the side of his face. We dance a violent dance in the parking lot corridor until I’m slammed against the concrete wall. I’m stunned into submission but it’s not enough as all three of them converge on me at the same time. The only thing I can be grateful for is the swiftness at which Diana grants me the reprieve of unconsciousness.
