Friday, December 14th Pt. 4

A soft knock at the door renews Lucas’s fight against me as the jangling of keys unlocking the door can be heard. I can hear Angela and Patrick conversating as she opens the door.
“No! Daddy please! The spankings make the nightmares come! Please! I will go to Wolfington! Please, daddy, stop hurting me.”
He collapses again into sobs, completely spent from the hour-long ordeal that we’ve been dealing with.
“What is that all about?” Patrick asks, his voice is hushed in awe and concern.
“What’s concerning is that it has taken him nearly eleven months to reach this point but that is only something I can deal with later. Right now it’s important that both of you follow my directions. As you can see he is highly reactive and has regressed mentally. He is varying wildly between ten, when it happened, and his current age.”
“Yes sir.” I hear from both of them.
“Angela, I need that door shut, locked and bolted. If he tries to flee I need him slowed down from getting out the door as much as possible. Pat, I need you to stand by. I’m hoping that I’ve got him submissive enough that it’s not going to be an issue but if fight or flight kicks in I will need your help. At this moment what I need is for you to take a seat in my chair.”
I remain quiet, listening to my son’s subtle whimpers waiting for Angela to join me on the floor.
“Why are you now thinking he has Hyperactive Sexualization Disorder?” Angela starts once she locks the door.
“Once you have the blood draw started I will explain. I just don’t want him jumping out of my lap before we have that part of what he needs established.”
I feel her hand on my shoulder as she sits behind me.
“No, please don’t hurt me!” I’m shocked at his weak attempts to start fighting again.
“No Luke. I promise this is different. Lay your head down on my shoulder. I know blood draws have pain involved but it’s very different than getting hit ten times.”
I can feel his body shaking as he lays his head back upon me. While I have noticed that his wariness of me has increased and he has started fighting these spankings more, today he seems genuinely terrified of receiving one.
“Alright Luke. Three, two, ….”
He yelps hard twice before breaking down into sobs. I tighten my arms around him and rock him like a small child as I hear Angela pop the first of six collection tubes to the line.
“The reason I’m asking for this test is because of what he’s admitted to. Six years ago, when Kristoph Redmen was here as a prospect, he and his mate targeted and sexually assaulted fifteen pups.”
“Yes, you spoke of that about seven months ago when Julie was to interview Madisyn about her time with Cole but I’m not connecting it to Lucas very well.”
“Cole said that Kristoph would brag about targeting the alpha’s kids first and specifically asked about Lucas. Cole was right.”
I pause a moment as I collect my thoughts on what Luke has told me.
“Based on what Luke told me, Kristoph physically and sexually assaulted him for four nights before Luke had the mental ability to seek me out. The night I found him under my bed was the only night his mate got involved but that still resulted in forced oral sex. I found belt marks on him but I was never able to get any information from him about what happened. Over the last six years he’s had a steady increase in an intense preoccupation in sex which has resulted in him pursuing premature sexual activity. When I took his access to the girls away, he has been struggling with intense uncontrollable aggression. It’s taken him eleven months to fully realize what’s going on and I think coming here for yet another punishment was the final straw.”
I can feel Angela rubbing my back as I finish a shortened version of what Luke told me.
“Lucas, have you ever heard of Silvix?”
“No ma’am.”
“I didn’t think so. Silvix is a pseudo silver that was created for situations of ferality and similar situations as yours. Silvix is going to sedate your wolf so that you don’t have to fight him for control. There’s a decent burn with the IV stuff but the first dose is much larger than the rest which is why it’s given this way. I’m going to set the feeder to thirty minutes as I don’t think you're going to handle the pain very well. Once you’re calm, we will explain what HSD is and how we are going to treat it.”
I can feel him nod as she finishes her explanation. A harsh yelp followed by fast breathing telling me that the burn of the medication creeping into his vein has hit and his fight with his wolf has renewed. Every wolf recognizes silver and they all fight against such treatment. I wrap my hand around the back of Luke’s neck, helping to calm his inner beast.
“Are you doing okay with the treatment?” Angela asks after a few minutes.
“Yes ma’am. I’d like to change the way I’m sitting if it doesn’t mess anything up.”
“Do you want to stay in my lap? You're calm enough now that I’m okay if you don’t want to be held.”
I’m surprised when he shakes his head.
“I just want to turn to the side, lean against you that way.”
Angela and I help him get more comfortable, letting him lean into me as he slowly starts to relax.
“What happens to me now? It already seems like you’ve set a diagnosis of this hyper Sexualization issue if you’re willing to poison me with silver.” He states sadly.
“I would never poison you.” I speak quietly near his ear hoping to pacify his nervousness towards the medication. “Hyperactive Sexualization Disorder is when your wolf develops an intense need for sexual gratification at an early age. Now we understand that as werewolves we have a higher sexual desire than humans but unlike humans, that desire normally doesn’t hit until after the first shift.
The main symptom of HSD is having intense sexual desires before the first shift resulting in premature sexual activity. Mild cases of HSD are usually left alone but heavily monitored for dangerous changes in personality and sexual activity. Moderate cases are medicated after a positive diagnosis using chemical analysis of the hormone levels present in their blood. Moderate cases will always include dissociative behavior or defiant behavior. High levels of impulsive behavior as well as depression and anger management issues are also common at the moderate level but they only need to show either the dissociative or defiant behavior to move into that category."
