Chapter 100 Still Perfect for Her

Even though Violet's lost her memory, Fergus isn't about to throw in the towel. If he can't help her remember, he'll just win her heart all over again!

He had to go after the girl he liked, no question about it.

As for those six engagements, he figured he'd just break them off.

When he married Violet, he wanted her to wear this. He was sure it would make the perfect statement.

Everyone gasped when they heard the price. It wasn't exactly cheap for a piece of headwear you couldn't wear every day.

"$55 million!" A chubby middle-aged CEO raised his paddle with a grin. "Next month is my wedding day. This tiara would be perfect for my fiancée."

A young woman in her twenties next to him cooed, "You're so good to me. I love you so much."

The CEO beamed.

People started whispering.

"So it's Mr. Fisher. I heard he's worth $2 billion. He's really generous."

"His new fiancée used to be his secretary. Wonder how she pulled that off."

"Just throwing money around to show off!"

Jennifer watched all the chatter with a practiced smile. Seeing no one else bidding, she said, "This tiara isn't just for weddings. You could give it to your daughters or keep it as a collectible. There aren't many tiaras in such good shape."

Jennifer shifted slightly.

That little move made the bidders' hearts race, their eyes lighting up. They started bidding again.

"To give Jennifer some face, I'll bid $56 million!"

"I'll go $57 million!"

"$58 million!"

The price shot up to $60 million.

"$66 million!" Mr. Fisher raised his paddle again, looking confident. "My fiancée really loves this tiara. I have to win it for her!"

The young woman beside him lifted her chin proudly, looking smug.

The others exchanged glances and chuckled.

"Since you want to give it to your fiancée, I won't compete."

"Mr. Fisher, you better send me an invite to your wedding."

"Spending so much for a smile from your lady, I'll let you have it."

Dropping tens of millions on a tiara wasn't worth it; better to do a favor.

Jennifer didn't mind. Not many people needed a tiara anyway. Since they weren't competing, no need to push the price higher.

Jennifer smiled and said, "Since everyone thinks Mr. Fisher should have it, congrats to Mr. Fisher for winning the treasure."

She raised the gavel, ready to seal the deal.

Mr. Fisher puffed out his chest proudly. Winning this tiara was more than just a simple auction win; it was a show of wealth, a bit of advertising.

Just then, Fergus spoke up, "$88 million!" He'd been daydreaming about how Violet would look in this and forgot to bid. Snapping out of it, he continued, "I'll bid $88 million!"

Everyone turned to look at Fergus.

Jennifer, about to drop the gavel, paused and looked at Fergus in surprise. Most of the rich guys here were familiar faces, but Fergus was new.

She quickly adapted and smiled, "This gentleman is really making waves, raising the price by $22 million. Impressive!"

Mr. Fisher was livid. Who was this guy? No one was competing anymore, and he jumped in to mess things up.

He gritted his teeth and said, "$89 million!"

The young woman beside him glared at Fergus, thinking he was being a jerk.

"$100 million!" Fergus said without a second thought. If he liked it, he had to get it. Money was just money.

The number made everyone gasp. It was double the starting price, and honestly, the item wasn't even that valuable. People started whispering.

"Who is this guy? Never seen him before."

"Is he from out of state or something?"

"No clue. Never heard of him."

Mr. Fisher squinted and asked, "Young man, I already said I need this tiara for next month. Are you just trying to mess with me?"

The young woman chimed in, "Exactly. You didn't bid earlier, and now you're jumping in last minute. Are you doing this on purpose?"

Fergus gave them a cool look and said casually, "What does your wedding next month have to do with me? I like this tiara too. As long as it hasn't been sold, anyone can bid. If you want it, just keep bidding."

Mr. Fisher clenched his fists and raised his paddle. "I'll bid $101 million!"

"$110 million!" Fergus quickly countered.

"$111 million!" Mr. Fisher shot back.

"$120 million!" Fergus said.

"$121 million!" Mr. Fisher's face turned red with frustration.

Fergus thought this was dragging on and said, "$200 million!"

Mr. Fisher started to say, "Two hundred..." but then realized it was $200 million and stopped mid-sentence. This was way beyond what he expected.

Jennifer saw Mr. Fisher hesitate and smiled, "Mr. Fisher, were you going to say $201 million?"

"Yes!" The young woman puffed out her chest, "My husband wants to give it to me. He won't back down."

She looked at Fergus and sneered, "Kid, you're probably spending your family's money, right? Don't show off. Know your limits. No matter how much you bid, my husband will always outbid you by a million!"

Mr. Fisher snapped, "Shut up! This is $200 million, not $2. If you can't speak properly, then shut up. Jennifer, I don't want it anymore!"

His assets were only $2 billion, and his company's liquid funds were less than $100 million. Spending $200 million would break his entire cash flow.

The young woman whined, "Darling, I like it. I want it. Please buy it for me."

Mr. Fisher slapped her hard and snapped, "Didn't I tell you to shut up? Do you think you deserve a $200 million tiara? If you keep talking, I'll sew your mouth shut!"

He glared at Fergus.

Fergus just smiled, unfazed.

Jennifer asked again, "Anyone else want to bid? This is a rare opportunity!"

The room was silent.

No one was crazy enough to spend over $200 million on this.

Jennifer saw no one responding and brought the gavel down. "Congratulations to this gentleman for winning the treasure!"

Jennifer kept thinking, trying to recall if she had ever seen Fergus before, but she couldn't remember.

Soon, someone packed the tiara and brought it over, along with a card machine for Fergus to swipe his card. Once everything was successful, they handed it to him.

Fergus looked at the tiara, already imagining how stunning Violet would look wearing it!

Meanwhile, Jennifer began introducing the second treasure of the auction, "The second item in today's auction is a ruby necklace. It's said that this necklace is endowed with magic, and its seven owners all lived happily ever after with their partners. Additionally, weighing 55 carats, it is extremely rare. The starting price is $80 million!"

Fergus's eyes lit up again. This ruby necklace would be perfect for Violet. The tiara was for the wedding, but this could be worn every day!

This necklace, around Violet's neck, would be an incredibly beautiful sight!
