Chapter 31 The Cure is Making Love

Seeing the contract, the room went dead silent.

Someone checked it out of curiosity and found it was legit. Fergus really owned Tarynville Hotel!

"No way!"

Tyler was in shock, staring at the contract in hopes it was fake. But he found nothing.

"Ms. Gray actually bought Tarynville Hotel!" Jessica's breath quickened, her chest heaving, unable to believe such a big deal happened under the radar.

Fergus smirked, "Thanks to Mr. Shaw for boosting our sales. A meal costing over three million dollars is one for the history books, haha."

Everyone looked at Tyler with amusement. Competing with the hotel owner made him look foolish.

Tyler was so angry he almost spat blood, especially seeing Fergus's smug face. He wanted to grind Fergus's bones to dust!

Furiously, he said, "What are you showing off for? It's all Ms. Gray's property. You're just a lucky employee!"

He knew he had lost face today. The longer he stayed, the more embarrassing it would be. He stood up and said, "Fergus, you wait and see. One day, I'll crush you."

"Waiter, refund the wine!"

Spending two million dollars on wine was painful; it had to be refunded.

Fergus said calmly, "Today, I'll show you what privilege means. Make sure there's no returns, waiter!"

The waiter quickly stepped back.

"You...!" Tyler was about to lose it. This was over three million dollars; all his savings! If it wasn't refunded, he'd be broke.

He gritted his teeth and said, "Fergus, if you don't refund it, will you believe me if I say I won't come here to spend money again? You're running a business, and you dare not meet a customer's request?"

Fergus casually said, "A customer's request must be met, but you... are a dog!"

"Actually, we don't need you here. From now on, you won't be allowed in even if you want to."

"Tell the front desk to put up a sign at the door. From now on, Tyler and dogs aren't allowed entry!"

When Fergus said that, the room erupted in laughter. Tyler thought, 'This guy is ruthless.'

Tyler's face turned purple with anger. He turned and left, realizing he had forgotten the wine when he got outside. But when he tried to re-enter, he was stopped at the door of Tarynville Hotel.

Inside the hotel.

"When did Ms. Gray buy the hotel?" Jessica asked out of curiosity.

For the first time, she felt the gap. While she was being threatened over a ten-million-dollar profit contract, Ms. Gray could casually buy a three or four hundred million dollar hotel. The gap was huge.

"Who said it was her? it was me. Didn't you see my name on the contract?" Fergus replied while eating.

"Do you think I'm a child? How much does this hotel cost? Do you have that kind of money? Ms. Gray just paid using your name." Jessica rolled her eyes, not believing it at all.

Fergus glanced at her, smiled, and didn't explain.

Seeing him nquiet, Jessica smiled and said, "Alright, I won't discourage you anymore. But Fergus, I suggest you to stop acting like this!"

"Be honest, did you know I was at the French restaurant and came here on purpose?"

Fergus was a bit confused.

Jessica looked at him seriously and said, "Fergus, you don't need to try so hard to impress me. Just speak up; Although it's impossible between us, we can still be friends!"

"You don't need to secretly follow me. If you want to ask me out, just do it. If I have time, I'll accept!"

Jessica thought, 'He must have secretly followed me today. He probably felt pressured being with Sophia and was in a bad mood. He thought I was still nice to him.'

Bang!

Fergus didn't want to say more. He put down his utensils and got up to leave.

Jessica was stunned and asked, "Where are you going?"

"Leaving, I'm nauseous!" He angrily said before leaving quickly. He couldn't understand where Jessica got her confidence.

Jessica watched him leave and smiled bitterly. "Maybe he was embarrassed because I saw through him."

Tyler stormed home, bursting through the door. "Dad, I want to kill Fergus! I want to kill him..."

The more he thought about it, the angrier he was, ready to act immediately.

But then, he saw it wasn't just Logan at home; Hayden was there too.

Logan frowned, "Stop making a scene. Always shouting about fighting and killing, what kind of behavior is that?"

Tyler awkwardly said, "Sorry."

Hayden waved his hand, also angry, "It's not Tyler's fault; Fergus is indeed hateful. This time, Sophia's old illness relapsed because he angered her!"

"If it weren't for Ms. Gray, not just Tyler, even I would've taught him a lesson!"

Logan and Tyler exchanged a glance. They could accuse Fergus and kill two birds with one stone.

Hayden waved his hand, "Let's not talk about Fergus for now, it's disgusting. Xavier, I agree to invest ninety million dollars to jointly develop Plot 140 with the Logan Group."

"But, can you let Tyler visit Sophia?"

The two had been negotiating for a long time. Hayden knew Logan was taking advantage, but he had no choice. Sophia was his only daughter; he couldn't let her suffer.

"Business is business, friendship is friendship!"

Logan said seriously, "Sophia has been Tyler's friend for ages. Even if you don't invest, we still will help. How about this; I'll go with Tyler!"

Soon, they returned to Westside Manor and went to the second-floor bedroom.

Following Walter's previous method, they used Tyler's blood to awaken her. There was some reaction at first, but it had no effect later on.

"What do we do now?" Linda panicked, crying and wiping her tears, "It's all Fergus's fault, making my Sophia like this. I will never forgive him!"

Hayden was also dejected. He could see this time that his daughter was in an even deeper sleep than before. At this rate, she'd only wake up once every few months. How was this different from being in a coma? Who would inherit the family fortune after he was gone?

"Maybe we're using the wrong method. According to Tyler, the last time you invited Walter, he also chanted incantations. Now we're just using blood, so naturally, it has no effect." Logan subtly hinted.

From his tone, it seemed like Logan didn't know Walter.

Tyler waited in agitation, saying nothing.

Hayden sighed, "Xavier, to be honest, even if Tyler comes, it won't work. Walter couldn't cure her. Last time, it was Fergus who cured her."

"What are you talking about!" Linda got anxious. "We have to find Walter again. Whether it works or not, we can't give up any hope. Hurry and find him!"

Hayden had no choice but to find Walter.

Walter and Logan had already discussed. After a negotiation, he rushed to Westside Manor.

After observing for a while, Walter said gravely, "Ms. Johnson was indeed angered into a relapse by someone, and this one is harder to treat than before!"

"Actually, Fergus was right about one thing. Draining Mr. Shaw's blood had an effect before."

"But now, even if we drain Mr. Shaw's blood, it won't work."

Hearing this, Linda immediately pleaded, "Walter, please save Sophia. You can have anything you want, just don't give up on her, please!"

Tyler cried. "How could this happen! Sophia..."

At this moment, Walter changed his tone, "Actually, there is one way to save Ms. Johnson and ensure she won't relapse in the future!"

"What way?" Hayden asked eagerly.

As long as there was hope, he was willing to offer anything in return.

Walter took a deep breath and said seriously, "A wedding. Mr. Shaw is Ms. Johnson's destined partner. As long as they spend a night together, Ms. Johnson will naturally wake up the next day!"

Everyone was stunned.
