Chapter 58 Mountain Shrine

Walking out of Red Pharmaceuticals, only then did Fergus see how many people Xavier had brought.

Vehicles were lined up bumper to bumper, surrounding the entire place.

If he had given the order just now, they could have torn down Red Pharmaceuticals!

Violet originally wanted Fergus to go back with her, but Fergus said he had something to do and got into Xavier's car.

"Mr. Yost, should I go get the contract from Marlin?" Xavier asked tentatively.

Fergus shook his head. In fact, he deliberately didn't pressure Marlin too much. If Marlin couldn't withstand the pressure and gave the contract to Violet, it might not be a good thing for her.

He mused, 'I need to find the materials to change her fate first, and then I can make her happy.'

He directly ordered, "Quickly help me find three things; the Eternal Flame that has burned for over a hundred years, the Thunder God's Staff that has been struck by lightning at least three times, and a moonstone the size of an egg."

The moonstone was for backup, the Eternal Flame to guide the way, and the Thunder God's Staff to prevent fate's backlash, using lightning to attack.

Of course, other things were needed, but Fergus could find those himself.

"Huh?"

Xavier scratched his head. He had heard of these items, but not with these complicated and rare conditions. 

He pondered for a while, 'An Eternal Flame that burns for a hundred years? A Thunder God's Staff struck three times? A moonstone the size of an egg? That's too difficult.'

However, he still agreed. "Mr. Yost, rest assured. I will immediately order all the guys to find those. When there's news, I will contact you right away."

Fergus said, "Good, take me back to the company."

Back in the city, the cityscape had changed again. All the screens were announcing Sophia and Tyler's wedding, and people were discussing it enviously below the screens.

Xavier glanced at Fergus and timidly asked, "Mr. Yost, I also received an invitation. Are you going? If you don't go, I won't go, either."

He knew Fergus didn't get along with the Johnson family, but since the invitation was delivered, he felt awkward not going. Thus, he sought Fergus's opinion.

Fergus replied, "Go ahead. Since you've been invited, you have no reason to refuse. I'll go, too."

Xavier nodded. If Mr. Yost said to go, then it was okay to go. Thus, he drove with peace of mind.

When they reached the company building, he suddenly said, "Mr. Yost, I just remembered a place that might have what you need."

Seeing that there was still enough time, Fergus let him head there directly.

It turned out that the place he mentioned was a Mountain Shrine in a county of Tarynville, said to be four or five hundred years old. When he went there before, he saw an Eternal Flame in the shrine, but he wasn't sure how long it had been burning.

If there was an Eternal Flame in Tarynville that had burned for over a hundred years, it could only be here.

An hour later, they arrived at the foot of the Mountain Shrine.

The steps leading to the top were crowded with tourists.

"People say this place is very magical, so folks from Tarynville come here to pray for wealth and love. I've been here a few times and donated a lot of money," Xavier explained.

Fergus looked up and frowned. He vaguely felt something was wrong up there, but it was too far to discern specifically.

He replied, "Let's go up first. We still have to attend the wedding tonight, so let's hurry."

They walked up a total of 999 steps.

Fergus walked as if on flat ground, while Xavier was almost exhausted.

At the top, they saw a building set in a beautiful mountainous area. It was built out of stone or wood, known for its sturdy structure and sensitivity to the surrounding environment.

Fergus saw the offerings inside and sneered slightly...

"Fergus?"

At this moment, he heard an exclamation.

Fergus turned his head and was stunned. It was none other than tonight's main character, Tyler, and beside him was tonight's bride, Sophia!

Tyler mocked, "Fergus, can't you forget about Sophia? Did you come here to chase her?"

"Let me tell you, it's too late!"

"Just now, Sophia and I handed our star charts to Michael Clack, and Michael offered them to Rocky. From now on, our marriage is under Rocky's protection, and we will never be separated in this life or the next."

She looked at Fergus with some expectation. If he could stop it, it was fine!

Before Fergus could speak, Xavier exploded, "Watch your mouth, or I'll tear it off!"

Tyler was not intimidated at all and sneered, "Mr. Quinn, you should watch your mouth too. My wedding with Sophia is the talk of the city, and many distinguished guests will be attending tonight. If you touch me now, it's no different from seeking death!"

Previously, seeing Xavier would have scared him, but with the Shaws establishing a marriage alliance with the Johnsons, Tyler could now stand up to the underground big boss without fear.

Fergus slowly raised his hand and pointed to the Rocky statue in the main hall. "It's him!"

Everyone was stunned by the direction he pointed and questioned, "Rocky?"
