Chapter 80 Being My Teacher

As soon as those words left his mouth, everyone turned to look at him.

David stopped dead in his tracks, eyes wide with surprise.

Aaron, who was just about to enjoy the sight of David kneeling and calling himself a coward, suddenly shot a dark look at Fergus.

"Are you blind?" Aaron snapped coldly. "The outcome is obvious, and you still want to argue?"

The patients and doctors were just as stunned.

They'd all seen the conditions of the two patients. Even though they didn't want to admit it, David had clearly lost!

David gave a bitter smile. "Mr. Yost, I appreciate your good intentions, but the fact is, I lost to Aaron. That's undeniable."

He knew Fergus meant well and didn't want him to kneel, but after checking the situation himself, the patient's stomach ailment was indeed cured.

Fergus shook his head. "Sometimes your eyes can deceive you, and so can the pulse. Everything you see and feel is false. Have you ever wondered why Aaron always talks before inserting the needle? It seems like he's trying to mess with David's head, but there's another reason. Aaron also practices combat and has developed a bit of Inner Energy. When he talks, he's actually using Inner Energy, then transmitting it through the needle to the patient, creating the illusion of a cured stomach! But this Inner Energy will fade quickly, and by then, the patient will not only fail to improve but will get even worse."

Fergus had just figured this out. The only difference between the two was the talking, using Inner Energy through the needle.

The more Aaron listened, the more shocked he became, his eyes wide with astonishment because Fergus was spot on!

After leaving his master years ago, fearing David's revenge, he practiced combat for self-defense and recently developed Inner Energy. The Inner Energy in his body was just enough to temporarily protect the patient's stomach, so he needed to talk to absorb Inner Energy.

"Nonsense!" Aaron snapped back to reality. He couldn't admit it now. Angrily, he said, "You're spouting nonsense, twisting the truth, and making up lies! In that case, you should kneel too, or I'll take David's life!"

The people around found it hard to believe. What Fergus said sounded too unreal, like a story!

David frowned and said, "I've heard of using Internal Energy through needles, but such a divine skill has been lost for nearly a century. My master never taught us, so he can't possibly know it."

It wasn't that he didn't believe Fergus, but he didn't believe Aaron.

"Of course, I won against you purely with medical skills!" Aaron immediately said, squinting at Fergus with a threatening look. "I'll give you one last chance. Kneel and beg me immediately, now!"

Aaron's hands clenched into fists, itching to eliminate Fergus. Fergus, at such a young age, had such insight; he absolutely couldn't let Fergus grow.

Fergus sneered. "Whether it's medical skills or cheating is easy to verify. Just wait another five minutes. If I'm not mistaken, the reason you're in such a hurry to make David kneel is that you're worried the Energy will dissipate, exposing your poor medical skills!"

"You're courting death!" A trace of panic flashed in Aaron's eyes. Fergus was right again because the Energy transmitted to the patient would soon fade.

Aaron spoke, suddenly raising his fist to strike Fergus.

But at that moment, the patient suddenly screamed, fell off the bed, and started spitting out chili water, with fresh blood in it.

It was clear that the stomach had been burned through!

"He's really having an attack!"

"Exactly as Fergus said, and there's blood, worse than before!"

"You quack, you're harming people!"

Everyone started cursing.

David saw the signs too, his eyes blazing with anger. "Aaron, after all these years, you're still such a scumbag. How can someone like you even exist?"

He wanted to rush over and fight but first ran to treat the patient.

Fergus, looking unfazed, said, "Seems you're even more pathetic than I thought; the effect of the cure only lasting oneminute. Now, the winner and loser are clear. Leave your life here. There's poison on the medicine shelf, drink it yourself!"

Fergus had to admit, Aaron's plan was clever. Even he had to think for a while to figure it out.

"Drink the poison yourself!"

"Hurry up and die!"

"You scoundrel, harming people, die quickly!"

The crowd got more agitated, pointing at Aaron and shouting angrily.

Aaron was furious. "Shut up, you bunch of nobodies dare to criticize me? You're asking for it!"

Everyone quickly fell silent. Aaron was a medical consultant for InfiniCure Biotech, and regular folks couldn't mess with him.

Aaron glared at Fergus with cold eyes. "I had everything planned perfectly, but you messed it up! If it weren't for the fact that I have to go to the Ironclad Defense Ministry tonight to bid for medicinal materials and don't want any complications, I'd make you wish you were dead right now! But don't worry, after I win the bid, I'll come for your life immediately!"

After saying that, he turned to leave. The plan had failed, so there was no need to stay.

"Stop!" Fergus said calmly, "You haven't fulfilled the bet, and you think you can just leave?"

Aaron spun around, furious. "I've had enough, no more patience, you're asking for it!"

He quickly attacked Fergus, his large palm striking down with a fierce wind. This palm could crush a human head.

Even those around who didn't understand combat could see it was unusual.

"Indeed a scoundrel!" Fergus remained expressionless, quickly counterattacking, grabbing Aaron's wrist firmly.

Aaron was shocked and realized that Fergus was a master. He quickly tried to pull his hand back but found that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move it at all. He was terrified, and his eyes showed fear.

"Fulfill the bet!" Fergus said, quickly kicking.

A kick landed on Aaron's abdomen, sending him flying 16 feet.

Aaron spat out a mouthful of blood, clutching his abdomen, increasingly uneasy. He looked at the bodyguards and screamed, "What are you waiting for? Attack!"

The bodyguards, hearing this, quickly rushed towards Fergus.

Fergus didn't retreat but advanced, actively meeting the bodyguards. Their skills were not as good as Aaron's. In just a few seconds, all the bodyguards were lying on the ground, clutching their heads and screaming.

Fergus looked to the side, and Aaron was already gone. He had run away at some point. The patient was still screaming, looking more and more in pain.

"Hold on, hold on, quickly prepare the medicine, hurry!" David seemed to forget everything around him, focusing entirely on treating the patient. Unfortunately, the condition was too severe, involving internal organs. He could prevent further harm but couldn't stop the pain.

Seeing this, Fergus walked over. "Let me do it!"

As he spoke, he picked up a silver needle and inserted it into the patient's acupoints. As soon as the needle was inserted, the patient's screams stopped, as if he had never been in pain.

Everyone around was shocked.

David was astonished. "Mr. Yost, is this the Nine Blossom Acupuncture Techniques?"

Fergus nodded. "Yes."

David was puzzled. "But I just tried, and it didn't work."

Fergus smiled faintly. "Because you only used the Nine Blossom Acupuncture Techniques, while I used Internal Energy through the needle, the same principle as Aaron's. The difference is, Aaron can only protect for ten minutes, while I can protect him for three years."

Then he said to the patient, "Get up, go home and recuperate slowly. Three years is enough to heal."

David said nothing more, kneeling again, sincerely saying, "Mr. Yost is the God of Medicine and should be my teacher!"
