Chapter 110 It Can't Be Him
No one saw this coming!
Two Grand Masters were down, and Aria was on her knees!
How did this even happen?
Fergus was just some loser kicked out by Violet.
"Not interested, just wanted to make a point!" Fergus turned and headed straight for Eric. After a couple of steps, he noticed Aria didn't raise her gun, so he ditched the idea of crippling her.
Aria was smart. If she had dared to raise her gun, Fergus would've made sure she spent the rest of her life in bed.
"What are you doing?" Eric was shaking, scared out of his mind. He never thought this guy would be so fierce, beyond anything he imagined.
Fergus smirked, "Take a wild guess."
Right then, people had two thoughts: either Fergus had some serious backing, or he was ready to go all in!
As Fergus got closer, Eric was drenched in sweat. He looked around for help, but everyone avoided eye contact; no one wanted to mess with Fergus!
Panicking, he warned, "Fergus, life isn't just about short-term wins and losses; it's a long game. If you touch me today, you'll face not just the Allen Family but also the Garcia Family. Think about the consequences!"
Jennifer's body trembled as she tried to keep calm and advised, "Fergus, just leave now. Don't hit him and avoid future trouble."
Fergus didn't bother to respond. He liked solving problems once and for all, no loose ends.
"Wait!" Eric shouted, "Let me say three things. First, I know how to adapt! Second, I'm not afraid of bad luck, just of having no one to share it with! Third, I know there are always people better than me. My father taught me to win people over with virtue!"
As Eric spoke, he took a step forward, opened his fan, and then knelt down. "Fergus, I yield. Please spare me!"
Everyone was stunned again. This was Little Emperor, the top heir in Mountain State, someone no one dared to mess with, and he had caved in?
Fergus was momentarily speechless. He thought Eric was gearing up for a fight. Turns out, Eric was as wise as he claimed!
After a moment, Fergus decided to spare Eric, not out of fear but to avoid hassle. Why waste time on problems when he could be romancing Violet?
He slowly turned to look at Colin and Jace.
"What are you doing?" Colin's face went pale with fear, and he stammered, "Fergus, don't do anything crazy. You can't take on all these people alone. Look at how many are behind me!"
The hundred or so bodyguards behind him were his only sense of security. No matter how good Fergus was at fighting, could he take on so many?
As soon as he finished speaking, the bodyguards turned and fled, kicking up dust as they ran.
They screamed while running.
"Mr. Lawson, we're not fighting!"
"He's a Grand Master! We don't want to die!"
"A Grand Master can't be insulted!"
Seeing them flee, Colin was so scared he wet himself.
Jace gritted his teeth, stepped forward, and said, "Mr. Yost, today's mess is my fault. I'll offer thirty million dollars to calm your anger. Please accept."
He had no choice but to offer money. This guy dared to take down Grand Masters, let alone him. He cursed Colin a hundred times in his head. Of all people to provoke, why him?
Fergus couldn't be bothered to act. He'd rather rush back to Tarynville. But he remembered something and asked, "Where's Aaron?"
Aaron was David's old classmate from Tarynville, the one who got away last time.
Jace was taken aback for a second, then respectfully said, "Mr. Yost, Aaron's resting at the company. Do you need him for something?"
Fergus replied casually, "Tie him up tomorrow and bring him to Tarynville for David to handle. Got it?"
David had been loyal and deserved a reward for his loyalty.
With that, Fergus turned to leave.
"Wait!" A voice called out from behind.
It was Jennifer. She swayed a bit, her face slightly flushed, and shyly ran up to him, whispering, "Mr. Yost, it's late. Why don't you rest at the Treasure Pavilion?"
Jennifer paused, glanced shyly at Fergus, and softly added, "I can stay with you."
She had thought Fergus was just showing off at Violet's place and acting recklessly at the auction. But now, she realized Fergus wasn't showing off; he was the real deal.
Someone like him was worth investing in.
Fergus sneered.
He quickly walked away, disappearing into the night, leaving only his back for everyone to see.
Soon, the crowd dispersed, their thoughts unknown.
Jennifer also returned to the Treasure Pavilion, full of regret. If she had been nicer to Fergus earlier, tonight might have been different. Fergus was a master who could take down two Grand Masters. Knowing him had its perks!
As she thought about it, she walked into the backyard and saw Aurora sitting in the courtyard, gazing at the moon.
She quickly approached and respectfully said, "Ms. Rivera, you haven't rested yet?"
The moonlight made Aurora's complexion glow, making her look exceptionally beautiful. At this moment, she seemed like a fairy from a painting.
Aurora heard the voice and smiled faintly, "Is everything outside over?"
Having grown up in the Treasure Pavilion, she was used to seeing killings and treasure snatching. Although she found it inappropriate, she was powerless to stop it.
Jennifer bowed and replied, "It's over. Fergus has left, and everyone else has dispersed."
Aurora nodded slightly.
Vida, standing behind the wheelchair, coldly asked, "What about Fergus? He didn't even say thank you?"
Vida hated ungrateful people the most.
Jennifer awkwardly responded, "No, but he handled it all on his own."
Aurora was stunned. Although she didn't know Aria and the others, she knew they weren't small fries. How could Fergus handle it?
Vida snorted, "Jennifer, you're just a city-level manager. If you dare to deceive Ms. Rivera, you can't bear the consequences. There were two Grand Masters outside. How could Fergus handle it?"
She didn't believe it at all; it was incredible.
Jennifer weakly explained, "Both Grand Masters were defeated by Mr. Yost!"
Aurora's expression was full of surprise.
Vida was also shocked, her eyes wide open. "What about Little Emperor?"
Jennifer replied, "He knelt and admitted his mistake!"
Vida was astonished. "What about Aria? She's the gang leader of Mountain State!"
Jennifer responded, "She also knelt and admitted her mistake, expressing submission. Mr. Yost suppressed them all!"
Both Vida and Aurora were stunned. How could this have been possible? But with Jennifer's status, she wouldn't dare to lie.
Aurora's face turned serious. After thinking for a moment, she asked, "Vida, could my fiancé be him?"
Vida thought for a moment, then shook her head. "It shouldn't be. Although Grand Masters are the pinnacle in a state or city, Capital City is where many real talents are hidden. Besides, I've seen Fergus's strength; he's slightly weaker than me. If I wanted to take him down, it would only take three moves. It can't be him!"
Aurora thought for a moment and nodded, sadly saying, "Push me back. Tomorrow, we'll go to Davenport, the state capital of Silvervale State. The Witchcraft Conference is the last chance."
