Chapter 74 A Chance Encounter While Grocery Shopping

This medicine was a game-changer. Not only could it supply the Ironclad Defense Ministry, but it could also be sold on the market. Once it hit the shelves, it'd be like printing money!

"Partner up?" David was taken aback for a second. He wasn't planning to say much, but then he remembered Fergus was strapped for cash.

After a quick thought, he said, "Honestly, I don't have the formula. But if you're serious about teaming up, I can get you in touch with Mr. Yo...the person who does."

He almost dropped Fergus' name but remembered Fergus' warning to keep things on the down-low.

Thomas was thrilled when he heard this. He didn't expect such a lucky break. If the Zimmerman family got their hands on this formula, they could climb even higher, maybe even top the five major families!

He laughed and said, "Thanks, David. Don't worry, once this is done, we won't forget you!"

David nodded and left, thinking it was too late today and he'd fill Fergus in tomorrow.

"Mr. Thomas Zimmerman, Red Pharmaceuticals has the production capacity and is ready to serve you!" Marlin quickly pledged his loyalty. The guy he called almost took out John, so he had to speak up now.

"The Shaw Family is also ready to serve the Zimmerman family. From now on, we'll follow Mr. Thomas Zimmerman's lead!" Logan also quickly pledged his loyalty, hoping to get in good with Thomas while he was in a good mood.

Thomas, riding high on the good news, didn't bother with the two. He turned to look at his son on the hospital bed, his eyes suddenly cold. He gritted his teeth and said, "Fergus, tomorrow, I'm gonna tear you apart myself!"

The next day, Fergus got up early, planning to make breakfast for Violet. But when he walked into the kitchen, he realized there were no groceries. Violet usually bought fresh ingredients, so he had to hit the market.

He had to admit, the air in Sky Palace was top-notch. Tarynville was definitely a place for the rich.

But it was nothing like the mountain air of Aguguq, so he wasn't too impressed.

"Fergus!" Just as Fergus walked down the mountain, he heard a voice.

He turned to see Tyler, who was working out in the yard of a villa.

He smiled and asked, "Is this your place?"

Tyler knew Violet lived in Sky Palace and had heard Fergus did too, but this was the first time they crossed paths in the villa area.

Cautiously, he said, "Yeah, it is!"

Fergus smiled and walked straight into the yard.

Tyler was so scared he kept backing up, regretting calling out to Fergus. The guy could crush a head with one hand.

Panicking, he said, "I'm warning you, don't mess around. This is my home!"

Seeing Fergus didn't stop, Tyler quickly said, "Actually, I called you for your own good. I wanted to tell you a secret: Mr. Thomas Zimmerman is in Tarynville and said he's coming for you this morning. You should be ready!"

He wasn't really looking out for Fergus; he just wanted to see him sweat.

Fergus said calmly, "Relax. I just want to show you that you're working out all wrong. I'll teach you how to do it right."

As he spoke, he brushed past Tyler and walked into the villa. The place was super fancy, with a crystal chandelier on the ceiling that was ten feet long. The whole setup must've cost at least seven million dollars.

"What are you doing!" Tyler followed him in, regretting more and more that he had called his name.

"Watch." Fergus said casually. He jumped up, grabbed the crystal chandelier, and yanked it down hard.

The chandelier crashed to the ground and shattered.

"What are you doing!" Tyler shouted in despair. That chandelier was imported and cost a cool two million dollars. The worst part? It was one of a kind!

It was the most prized decoration in the whole villa.

And now, it was in pieces!

Fergus then casually grabbed a solid wood dining chair with both hands.

In just a minute, the villa was a wreck.

"Fergus, stop!" Tyler almost wanted to slap himself. Why did he call out to Fergus?

He couldn't help but explode. "What are you so smug about? Mr. Thomas Zimmerman is gonna tear you apart, for sure!"

Before he could finish his sentence, Fergus suddenly turned his head.

Seeing Fergus' eyes, Tyler swallowed his words. He looked down on Fergus but was genuinely scared.

Fergus smiled and said, "I'm teaching you how to exercise. Did you get it?"

Tyler was so mad he was about to burst but could only nod. "Yeah, I got it!"

Fergus said, "Good. Now, work out the way I showed you. I'm off to buy groceries. If I catch you slacking when I get back, you're in trouble, got it?"

Not killing Tyler yesterday was already a favor. He could avoid the death penalty, but not punishment. But there was no rush; he'd make him suffer slowly.

Tyler was trembling with anger. 'You're not teaching me to exercise; you're making me wreck my own home!'

But he didn't dare to disobey and nodded. "Got it!"

"Good boy." Fergus smiled and turned to leave.

He headed straight to the market.

He bought two bags of groceries because he needed to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

As he walked out, Fergus suddenly noticed an old man setting up a stall on the road.

The old man was sitting cross-legged, his eyes slightly closed. In front of him was a red cloth with various small items, all related to witchcraft.

Of course, what caught Fergus' eye was a piece of Thunderstruck Wood on the red cloth!

This was crucial for changing Violet's fate!

However, this piece of Thunderstruck Wood had only been struck by lightning once.

Fergus walked over and asked, "Sir, do you have any Thunderstruck Wood that's been struck by lightning three times?"

For small-time vendors like this, they usually had connections.

The old man opened his eyes and looked at him. "Yes, but it's very expensive, starting at ten million dollars!"

Fergus' eyes lit up. If he had asked for a lower price, Fergus wouldn't have believed him. After all, wood that could withstand one lightning strike and remain intact was already rare. Twice was extremely precious, and three times was one in a million.

Fergus smiled and said, "No problem. As long as the item is good, you won't be short of money!"

The old man looked at Fergus, then waved his hand. The red cloth folded up, wrapping all the items inside. He picked up the red cloth and said, "Follow me!"

Fergus followed behind.

They crossed the market, walked for about ten minutes, and entered an alley. At the front was a black wooden door that looked super creepy. As soon as the two walked in, the door closed.

The old man stopped in the yard, suddenly turned around, his expression becoming cold, and said bluntly, "Kid, the entire Silvervale Province is the territory of the Violet Thunder Sect. If you want to make some small money with the Thunderstruck Wood, the Violet Thunder Sect won't interfere, but you are asking for Thunderstruck Wood struck three times and clearly want to deploy formations and cross the line!"

The Violet Thunder Sect, those who didn't deal with witchcraft, had never heard of this name.

But those who did, trembled at the mention of it. They controlled all witchcraft in the province. Everyone who came to Silvervale Province had to report to the Violet Thunder Sect first. It was said that the five major families in the province also treated the Violet Thunder Sect members as honored guests, and the leader of the Violet Thunder Sect, Peter Thunder, was reputed to be one of the eight people closest to God in the country!

"Violet Thunder Sect?" Fergus frowned, never having heard of it. "So what? You Violet Thunder Sect are so powerful. Do you have Thunderstruck Wood struck three times?"
