Chapter 114 He Really Came

After getting the order, Bruce's crew jumped into action, clearing the floors in no time.

The guests were in shock. Just a minute ago, they thought sealing the place was just a bluff. Serenity Springs Resort is a five-star hotel, a big deal in Tarynville. How could it just get shut down like that?

But now, it was really happening!

Fergus shot Bruce a cold look and said, "Sealing it is the easy part. Undoing it? Not so much. You're gonna regret this."

Bruce smirked, "Kid, you're still mouthing off when you're about to bite the dust. My seals? They don't get removed. Ever. I'm telling you right now!"

He added, "As long as you hold onto Tarynville Hotel, I'll keep it shut. A day, a year, doesn't matter. I've got that kind of pull!"

Everyone knew Bruce wasn't bluffing. He was the head honcho at the Commerce Department!

People around started sucking up to him.

"Fergus, stop acting tough. Compared to Mr. Howard, you're nothing. Beg for his forgiveness already!"

"If Mr. Howard says it's closed, it's closed. No one can help you."

"In the end, you'll lose the hotel and end up in jail. Why drag it out? Just apologize to Mr. Howard."

Right then, Fergus's phone rang. It was Frank.

Frank sounded confident, "I'm in Tarynville. I'll be at Sky Peak in ten minutes. Meet me at the base."

Fergus chuckled, "Can't do. Someone's trying to seal Tarynville Hotel and won't let me leave."

Frank frowned. "What's going on?"

Fergus replied casually, "Someone's bullying civilians. Don't you know your own people?"

Then he hung up.

Frank was fuming, his breath quickening. From what Fergus said, it sounded like his own guys were bullying people.

He barked, "To Serenity Springs Resort!"

Back at the hotel, Fergus hung up and said calmly, "Governor Frod will be here soon. Let's see if you still think you have that power in front of him!"

Fergus had been holding back because Frank was on his way. He wanted to see how Frank would handle it. If Frank was unjust, he'd have no problem opening the prison doors and bringing some guys to Silvervale State to see how he, the Governor, could still hold his position.

"Shameless!" Wyatt jumped in, snarling, "You think a phone call makes us believe it's the Governor? Look at yourself. Are you even worthy?"

Bruce was livid, gritting his teeth, "You dare to challenge me? Who do you think you are?"

Tyler cut in with a smirk, "Mr. Howard, don't get mad. It's not worth it over a nobody."

He continued, "Fergus, you say the Governor's coming. Good, I was worried he wouldn't. I want to see if the Governor will praise me for being young and promising or if he'll even notice a nobody like you!"

Tyler figured that even if the Governor did show up, as Ms. Gray's partner, the Governor wouldn't give him a hard time. He'd probably try to befriend him instead.

Bruce was still fuming and shouted, "Yeah, let the Governor come. I'm telling you, not even the President can stop me from sealing this hotel today!"

Just as he finished, a voice boomed from behind the crowd, "I'm here!"

Frank stood at the entrance, his face dark. He'd just walked in and heard Tyler talking about giving him face and Bruce shouting about the President. What nonsense were these people spouting??

Everyone turned to look.

When they saw Frank, it was like a lightning bolt hit the room. The Governor actually showed up?

How could Frank possibly be here?

Not just Tyler, Bruce, and Wyatt, but everyone was floored.

It felt like a dream!

Frank walked forward with a stern look and said, "Who just said to let me come? Well, here I am!"

Bruce heard this and his legs turned to jelly. He was so scared he almost wet himself. He never thought the Governor would actually show up. Seeing the Mayor was hard enough, let alone the Governor. He didn't dare to answer and looked at Tyler with a serious expression. At this moment, he could only rely on Tyler.

Tyler felt a chill run down his spine. It was his first time being so close to someone so high up. But thinking of his partnership with Ms. Gray, he regained some confidence.

He quickly stepped forward and said obsequiously, "Governor Frod, hello. I'm Tyler Shaw, Ms. Gray's new partner. What I said just now was a joke. Please don't take it to heart."

Frank coldly replied, "If I heard correctly, you said I should give you face, right?"

Tyler's face turned tense and awkward, his body trembling. He had said it because he thought Frank wouldn't show up.

Frank continued sternly, "You just became Ms. Gray's partner and haven't achieved anything, yet you already learned to use her name to throw your weight around. I'll be sure to inform Ms. Gray about today's incident!"

After saying that, he walked past Tyler.

Tyler was so scared he almost fainted. Violet might not listen to others, but she would definitely take the Governor's words seriously. If this incident made Violet unhappy, his partnership would be over!

Frank walked to the front and saw Fergus still sitting in his chair, feeling a bit displeased. Everyone else would have quickly greeted him, but Fergus remained seated.

He asked sternly, "What did you mean by what you said on the phone?"

Everyone was once again shocked. Was Fergus's call really from the Governor?

Did the Governor come because of Fergus?

Call the Mayor of Tarynville immediately and have him remove Bruce from his position and investigate thoroughly! If all the issues aren't cleared up, I'll investigate the Mayor too!"

"Yes!" His secretary immediately responded.

Bruce heard this and his whole body convulsed. He had committed enough crimes to be executed multiple times. He was done for.

'Not bad,' Fergus thought and nodded secretly. So far, Frank had done nothing wrong. He slowly looked at Wyatt.
