Chapter 90 Kidnapping Jessica
Everyone was bummed out but had no choice but to leave.
In just five minutes, the banquet hall was empty. Hayden had wanted to stick around and congratulate them, but seeing Fergus and Violet all lovey-dovey, he decided to bounce.
"Did you really make this Elixir?" Violet's eyes were full of admiration. The more she hung out with Fergus, the more mysterious he seemed. Fergus appeared to be able to do anything.
Fergus grinned, "Of course, making Elixir is a piece of cake. I've got something even more impressive."
Violet's eyes sparkled even more, and she instinctively asked, "Like what?"
Fergus smirked, "You!"
Violet was confused for a moment, then blushed and shyly looked away.
Being around such a beautiful woman all day was driving Fergus nuts.
Violet walked slowly outside, trying to change the subject. "This hotel was Ryan's idea, right? He mentioned a long time ago that he had high hopes for the hotel industry. Didn't expect him to start planning while in prison. Truly visionary."
Fergus said dejectedly, "It has nothing to do with Ryan. I bought it myself."
Violet smiled. "Whether it's yours or Ryan's, you just kicked out all the guests. It's gonna hurt the hotel's future business."
Fergus shrugged, "Doesn't matter if it doesn't operate. It's small change."
To Fergus, it really wasn't much. If he ran out of money, he could just make a call to the prison. Asking for ten million dollars from each person could easily get him billions.
Violet laughed, "You're right. I'll take care of you in the future!"
Meanwhile, Thomas and his crew arrived at another one of Logan's places, which was also Thomas' current pad. Colin and Aaron tagged along.
Thomas picked up antique calligraphy and paintings in the room and smashed them furiously, shouting non-stop.
Tonight was too humiliating. The head of the Zimmerman family, a big shot in the State Capital, was tricked by Fergus. He thought it was an unprecedented disgrace.
Logan watched everything being destroyed, feeling heartbroken, but he didn't dare to speak.
Thomas finally stopped, his eyes bloodshot, and looked menacingly at Aaron. "You're also a miracle doctor. Make an Elixir now, and it better be more effective than Fergus's. Otherwise, I'll make sure you leave Tarynville on a stretcher!"
Aaron was so scared that he knelt down, trembling. "Mr. Zimmerman, I can't make Elixir. I really can't."
Making Elixir was a skill of witches, rarely mastered by doctors.
Thomas's eyes widened in anger. "Can't? You just said in the banquet hall that your medical skills surpass David's, and now you're telling me you can't?"
Aaron was sweating bullets. "Mr. Zimmerman, my medical skills are indeed better than David's, but not as good as Fergus'. I really can't."
Thomas didn't know how to respond for a moment, feeling even angrier. Fergus was just a reformed man from prison. Did they teach Elixir-making in prison?
He turned to everyone and shouted, "Think of a way to deal with Fergus. If you can't come up with a solution, I'll make you all suffer like John!"
Logan and the others shuddered. John had had his limbs broken.
They looked at each other, hoping someone would come up with an answer.
Colin was extremely scared. He had followed them, thinking they had a way to deal with Fergus, but they didn't. Not only that, but their lives were also at stake.
At this moment, Tyler's eyes lit up. He said, "Mr. Zimmerman, I have a plan!"
"Speak!"
Tyler cleared his throat and continued, "We can't make a move on Fergus right now because Ms. Gray is by his side. If we hurt Fergus, we might hurt Ms. Gray. But if we can get Fergus to go somewhere else and then ambush him with skilled fighters, we can ensure success!"
Logan immediately chimed in, "That's a solid plan, Mr. Zimmerman. Why keep playing cat and mouse with that jerk Fergus? If we get some killers to take him out, even if Ms. Gray gets mad, the job's done. What's she gonna do? Plus, if we handle Fergus on the down-low, she won't have any proof against us!"
Marlin nodded in agreement. "Yeah, good idea!"
Thomas' eyes narrowed. He had thought of this plan before but was worried about Violet's retaliation.
Even though he acted tough, he was actually pretty anxious. Even if the Gray Family didn't back Violet, she'd eventually get married, and if she used her husband's family's power, it would be a nightmare.
But they had a point. As long as Fergus was away from Violet's sight and then dealt with by killers, it could work.
His anger cooled a bit.
He said slowly, "This plan is good, but we need a solid excuse to get Fergus away from Violet and alone."
Tyler grinned. "I have an idea. Fergus once had a fiancée named Jessica. We can kidnap Jessica to threaten Fergus and make him go to the rescue. We'll ambush him and take him out when he shows up!"
Colin held his breath. Jessica was his crush.
"Good!" Thomas made the final call, clenching his fists. "Kidnap Jessica now and make Fergus go to the State Capital. Once Fergus steps into the State Capital, he's done for!"
Mobilizing too many skilled fighters to Tarynville would raise eyebrows. If discovered, it could ruin everything. Making Fergus go to the State Capital would minimize the risk.
Tyler's eyes gleamed with malice, and he agreed. "Yes, I'll go now!"
Jessica was sitting on the living room couch, watching financial news.
Her father, Derek, walked over with his hands behind his back, muttering, "Unbelievable, truly unbelievable. All Fergus' are indeed remarkable people. Jessica, did you know? Tonight, Fergus revealed himself as the owner of the Elixir, humiliating Mr. Zimmerman and Mr. Miller. Not only that, but some estimate the Elixir's value to be at least a hundred billion dollars! Now, I'm even more looking forward to my son-in-law Fergus. I believe he won't be much different!"
Jessica knew about this too and felt very annoyed. Half because Fergus became famous again, and half because Derek had been talking about it all night.
She turned off the TV and said, "Dad, they just have the same name. There's no comparison. Don't overthink it. Go to bed."
Derek's eyes widened, and he said confidently, "Don't underestimate yourself. Your grandfather left a will, saying Fergus is a great person. I believe he won't be any worse than this Fergus!"
Jessica sighed, "Alright, I also look forward to Fergus' arrival. I want to see what he's really like. Now, you think about it yourself. I'm going to bed."
She turned and walked upstairs, but just a few steps away, her phone rang. The voice on the other end said there was an accident at the construction site. Jessica's face changed. "What? Wait for me!"
Derek asked concernedly, "What's wrong?"
"No big problem, you go to sleep. I'll check it out!" Jessica quickly left the villa, got into her Maserati, and drove out of the yard.
A few kilometers away, a van crashed into the Maserati.
Jessica didn't have time to react.
Several people jumped out of the van, forcibly dragged Jessica out of the car. No matter how much she struggled, it was useless.
They covered her mouth and nose and dragged her into the van.
Inside the van, Tyler looked at Jessica's graceful figure and licked his lips.
