Chapter 106 Got Any Dogs?

Jennifer really wanted to just ignore Aurora's order or pretend she never got it. Fergus's cocky attitude was driving her nuts. But she couldn't risk it, so she had to speak up.

Fergus looked puzzled. Who the heck was Ms. Rivera?

Everyone else frowned at the mention of her name.

Treasure Pavilion isn't just some local Mountain State business; it's got branches in all the big cities. It might not be as scary as the seven major families, but it's definitely on their level power-wise.

Aria, looking confused, asked, "Ms. Morgan, I don't get it. Why would Ms. Rivera protect him? They're like worlds apart, like someone on a mountaintop and someone at the bottom."

Her words had a hint of doubt. It seemed impossible that Ms. Rivera would know Fergus, let alone protect him.

Eric, still fanning himself, cut to the chase, "Ms. Morgan, are you just a gold digger using Ms. Rivera's name to fool us because you like Fergus?"

Colin, with his swollen face, jumped in, "I can vouch that Fergus doesn't know any Ms. Rivera. He was just a nobody in prison, and since getting out, he's been stuck in Tarynville. How could he possibly know her?"

"Ms. Morgan, do you have a thing for Fergus?" The others started getting suspicious too.

Jennifer's face turned red with anger. What a joke! But she couldn't afford to offend these people.

Fergus, hearing all this, started to piece things together. He really didn't know Ms. Rivera. Could it be Jennifer?

He slowly looked at Jennifer.

"What are you staring at!" Jennifer snapped, "I said, even if you were the last guy on earth, I'd rather die than like you!"

Then she added angrily, "Don't talk nonsense. I'm just passing on Ms. Rivera's orders. She only said to spare Fergus's life, nothing more!"

Jennifer stressed the last part, clearly hinting at something.

Everyone got the message.

They couldn't kill Fergus, but they could still mess him up pretty bad!

"Go!" Jace, not wasting any more time, stood with his hands behind his back and said, "Insulting my son in Tarynville and beating him in Golden Valley City, do you think I'm a pushover? Everyone, attack together, just leave him barely alive!"

Colin grabbed a machete, raised it, and shouted, "Everyone, charge with me, get him!"

With that, he led over a hundred armed men straight at Fergus.

If they didn't teach Fergus a lesson, he'd really think he was some big shot!

Seeing this, the other attendees behind Fergus gasped and quickly moved aside to avoid getting caught in the chaos.

"It's starting!"

"Look, Fergus is too scared to move!"

"Guys like him only learn through pain. Serves him right!"

Jennifer also stepped aside, looking at Fergus with disdain. She wanted to see if he'd still be so cocky after getting beaten. Fergus even had the nerve to say she liked him; how shameless!

Fergus didn't move, just waiting for them to charge. Dealing with these small fries, if he had to lift a finger, it would be a joke!

At that moment, a dark figure leaped into the air, blocking Colin and the nearly hundred men behind him.

With a blank expression, he said, "Fergus is my target. You all, stay put!"

It was Paul!

Though he could let them cripple Fergus, nothing beat taking revenge himself.

Colin and the others stopped in their tracks.

Colin's eyes were bloodshot because the guy who actually hit him was Paul!

But with Master Dusk around, he didn't dare make a move!

Colin gritted his teeth and asked, "Paul, my dad and I are willing to let it slide that you hit me, out of respect for Master Dusk. But now, are you gonna stop us too?"

With Jace there and some backup, he felt a bit more confident.

Paul, feeling bold with his mentor around, coldly said, "I said I want to cripple Fergus myself. What are you gonna do about it?"

He stared Colin down.

Colin felt uneasy and slowly turned to look at Jace.

Jace thought for a moment and said, "Master Dusk, Little Emperor, I respect both of you a lot. Tonight, I'm willing to offer thirty million dollars, just to let my son vent his anger first. I don't ask for much, just to cripple one of Fergus's legs. Please grant this request!"

Money usually solved everything. If it didn't, you just weren't offering enough.

"I don't need money. Master Dusk, you decide," Eric replied indifferently.

Master Dusk smirked, "I don't need money either. Today, I just want to make it clear that my apprentice is not to be insulted. Paul, cripple him. Anyone who dares to interfere will face my wrath!"

As a Grand Master, he don't need money; he need respect!

Paul bowed respectfully and turned to face Fergus. "Yes!"

"Wait!" Aria spoke up, "Master Dusk's words should be directed at me. However, I don't like threats. Fergus, if you give me the Night Pearl, I'll make sure you leave Golden Valley City tonight!"

The atmosphere got tense.

Another standoff!

Eric stopped fanning himself and threatened, "Aria, are you really gonna go against me tonight?"

Aria didn't even look at him, extending her hand. "Fergus, give me the Night Pearl!"

Eric shouted angrily, "Master Dusk!"

Hearing this, Master Dusk's figure flashed as he rushed towards Fergus, aiming to get the Night Pearl first!

At the same moment Master Dusk moved, Master Thunder also charged forward. Even though he was ranked just below Master Dusk, he couldn't let him get the Night Pearl.

Halfway there, Master Dusk sensed danger behind him, quickly turned, and threw a punch.

Master Thunder did the same.

When their fists collided, a faint explosive sound could be heard!

"So strong!"

"Is this the power of Grand Masters?"

"Seeing a Grand Master duel in this lifetime, I can die without regret!"

Everyone marveled, their eyes filled with awe.

"Colin, run!" Jace quickly reminded him. A duel between Grand Masters was not something ordinary people could handle. If hit, it would be fatal or severely injurious!

Colin was terrified and quickly turned to run back.

"The Night Pearl can only belong to Aria!" Master Thunder said in a deep voice after taking three steps back.

"The thing the Little Emperor wants, I'll get it even if it costs my life!" Master Dusk also took three steps back and coldly spoke.

As he spoke, he charged towards Master Thunder again, shouting, "Paul, get the Night Pearl!"

A quick victory couldn't be determined in the fight with Master Thunder. The best way was to hold Master Thunder off and let Paul get it!

Paul heard this.

He quickly turned to Fergus, extended his hand, and said, "Hand the Night Pearl over!"

Fergus was extremely speechless. He had clearly told them they could come at him together, but they ended up fighting each other.

He asked back, "What if I don't?"

Paul snorted coldly. With his mentor present, he had nothing to fear. Even if Fergus was also a Grand Master, he couldn't possibly defeat his mentor. If Fergus dared to resist, his mentor would immediately cripple him!

He sneered, "If you don't, I'll break your limbs and feed them to the dogs right in front of you!"

"I like that. Let's do it then!" Fergus smiled, and in a flash, he was in front of Paul. Then, a few sounds were heard.

Paul lay on the ground, all four limbs broken!

Fergus turned to Jennifer and calmly asked, "Got any dogs? I need to borrow one."
